He reported back that the water damage was superficial due to caulking around the bathtub being insufficient and letting water splash from the shower/tub get under the floor transition. Since I was away, this inspection required a lot of trust that the diagnosis wouldn't result in uneccessary work. Peter reported honestly what he saw and recommended a handyman. I figured okay whatever and set an appointment. The tech arrived and took a picture of my drain clean out then went to work on his tablet. After about 5 minutes he showed me 3 quotes The first was for $2,000+ and that was to have the plumbing that he Hadn't even inspected replace, the second was for the service I asked for + run a camera down the line, the 3rd quote was for what I asked them to do in the first place and that was almost $400. I am not paying $400 for 15 minutes of semi-skilled labor, no way. When I refused services the guy told me there was a $39 charge for coming out. Because I never agreed to pay anything and they never mentioned any charge (I would have told them no thanks), I told him to leave and that I would not be paying. We called a local non-corporate plumber, described our problem and what service we wanted they said they would send someone and it would be $200. They came out a couple hours later and it took them less than 10 minutes from start to finish. I 100% do NOT recommend Roto-Rooter.

The morning HES and crew arrived, I had second thoughts on removing a certain area of my Satillo tiled deck and tiled patio.
