He was generous enough to start setting up fans before confirming to work with them and was very informative and communicative throughout the whole water mitigation process. Always showed up on time and was responsive to any questions I had. Him and his crew were awesome during the demo portion. Put floor and wall protection down and cleaned up after the job was done. Highly recommend Chris and his team to help you out. Very professional and glad It was a good and smooth process coming from horrible situation with water damage. Chris completed his job but the overall job isn't fully complete. Still have to work with them for the rebuild and hope the process continues to be smooth and effortless.

He went above and beyond to drop off materials, set up plastic for and meet the next contractor at my home to pass off the keys and get them going on my retexture project, as I was still living out of town. Chase (with helper Andrew) patched it up perfectly, dealing with the fact that one of the 4 speaker mounting points had been broken. The other cuts, in our wall, were also patched perfectly. Texture was applied to both, matching the rest of the ceiling and wall. We were given the option of doing the painting ourselves, or they could come back and paint it. We chose the latter, so Chase came back a few days later (after everything had dried) and completed the job. No one could possibly tell there was repair work done in any of the places. They were on time (or a bit early) both times. They laid a paper runner to the area, preserving our carpeting (and wore booties at other times). Casey (the owner) was super responsive via text, and was a pleasure to work with. The price was a bit more than I had originally expected, but the amount of work involved was also more than I realized. I highly recommend Wallen's Drywall for any drywall job you need done.

Once I replaced the tankless water heater, I had to deal with the residual damage from the water. The insurance folks sent out a demo team to take all the damaged wall/ ceiling and mold out. The insurance gave my Contact info to a Renovation company they use and said that they would call me. After a couple of days, I did not hear anything so I researched and found these guys on Yelp. They came out the same day provided a quote and I feel that their prices were reasonable. The insurance had already paid me out for what they guesstimated the cost of repairing everything ( i didn't tell them how much I was paid out) and it was comparable to what they quoted me. Although they said if their quote was more, they had no problem going back to the insurance folks to deal with them in regards to more money to do the project. Thankfully, we didn't need to do that. However, I thought that was important to mention because I didn't realize that a lot of people do not want to deal with insurance companies. I was turned away a couple of times when I was trying to find somebody to Replace the water heater and I needed them To provide information to the insurance company. These guys came in and we're so quick and efficient. I had a partial ceiling missing in my living room and in my garage. The wall that separated my living room and garage were missing. They Did the sheet rock,installation, crown molding, painted, Mounted all my cabinets and hooked back up my washer and dryer and sink in a few days! We were looking for someone to pull up floor from the spare bedroom and use the pieces to patch the remaining parts that were damaged due to a flood. We had a quote from another floor guy but we really liked Josh & his quote was great so we were in. The work itself took about a day a half and the patchwork was seamless. He was able to reuse many of the floor pieces to fix the main areas and we are now off to get the remaining bedroom carpeted. We woulda went with him for this as well but that was outside of his scope. Nevertheless the job was done below budget and quickly might I add. He also fixed a linen cabinet that had been removed due to the water damage. He was meticulous and thorough in cutting and replacing the baseboards as well. We cannot recommend him highly enough. He found an issue that had somehow been missed by another HVAC company that had been performing routine annual inspections on our system. He was courteous, respectful, informative, and very genuine throughout the entire visit. He explained what he was seeing in a way that was easy to understand, answered all of our questions, and made sure we were comfortable before doing any work. They even found dry rot that needed repairing, which we would have not known, had it not been for their attention to detail. Unfortunately, there was an issue with the repair, but after speaking with Alex directly, another crew was sent the following business day to correct the issue. I would highly recommend working with the business based on their affordability, timely repair, and excellent customer service.

6 MONTH REVIEW I don't even know where to start with this, because it honestly says more about Goodlife Construction than any review I could write about the original project. About six months after our job was completed, I noticed a crack in the stone on our countertop. To be completely clear: this was not caused by Goodlife Construction. It was just one of those things that happens either in manufacturing, transport, or a variety of other ways. But I figured I'd at least make a call and see if there was anything that could be done. Here's where they completely separated themselves from just about every contractor out there. They didn't dodge the call. They didn't redirect me somewhere else. They didn't give me a "sorry, that's not on us" response (which would have been totally fair). Instead, they responded immediately, came out to take a look, and then went above and beyond to make it right; with minimal disruption to our home and our schedule. Who does that? That kind of service is incredibly rare. It's easy for a company to look great when everything is new, clean, and running smoothly. But the true test of a business is what happens months later, when there's nothing to gain and no obligation to step in and they still choose to take care of you. That's exactly what Goodlife Construction did. This wasn't just good customer service. This was character. This was pride in their work. This was a company that clearly values people over transactions. At this point, I trust them completely, not just to do great work (which they absolutely do), but to stand behind it in a way that is almost unheard of these days. At the beginning of 2022, we had a fire at our house that burned down the garage and part of the dwelling. It could have been much worse but thankfully no one was hurt and the blaze was contained due to the quick response by the fire department. Deciding on a contractor is one of the most important decisions you can make when something like this happens. I shopped around for a couple weeks before deciding to go with Good Life Fire Restoration. The whole process of dealing with insurance and the rebuild can be very complex, and draw out. They were good to recognize the traumatic nature of the event and how to walk me through the restoration process. I felt like they had my back and were willing to go above and beyond to accommodate changes and improvements I wanted to make. David was our project manager and he worked hard to coordinate all the moving pieces. He did a great job responding to communications and scheduling the work in a timely manner. We ended the build not only made whole, but with a better designed and better built dwelling. As with any complex project, the restoration experience had its ups and downs, but whenever there was miscommunication or conflicts we were able to find common ground and work out the issues. Overall, I am very happy with the end result and thankful that Good Life Fire Restoration was our contractor throughout this rebuild. Good Life Fire Restoration brought order to chaos after a catastrophic fire at my childhood home which passed to me after my parents died in 2020 and 2021. The insurance company rated it as a 73% loss. Over the next year, I worked with their team headed by outstanding Project Managers on not just replacing the existing house built in 1978/9, but rethinking the interior common space without altering the external footprint. From the street view it would remain the same, but inside walls came down to open the common spaces to morning sunlight and create a much grander and more accessible flexible vision to fit any need. The final masterpiece is nothing less than astonishing, and with the help from a family friend to promote it, who just happens to be one of the area's best realtors, the house was listed well above a Zillow or Redfin estimate and yet drew over 30 separate groups of interested buyers representing over 125 people in a small cul de sac, culminating in 3 offers with legit financing ready to play. It sold $25K above ask with a single Open House. I loved working with this team. If you are working on a $700K project, there's going to be tension. But the minimal conflict we had was always resolved and was usually because I was jumping the gun and wanting things done now. I would like to think my parents would be proud of the changes made to their dream home they put so much money into. I'm the son with the Marketing degree to sell that. This tale ends with a young family with a 4-year-old daughter planting their stake into a home base I wish for them generations. read more

Good Life Restoration helped me tremendously after I had a Garage Lithium Ion Battery fire. It was very stressful dealing with a lot of stuff cause by the aftermath of the fire. But I am fortunate that Michael, and David came to my house and introduced me to this company. The staff are all pleasant, courteous, and very professional. Shoutout to the contents department especially to Victor, he did above and beyond to help me with my total lost spreadsheet, in which I will not know how to start without his help. The unique practice of Good Life is that they listen, and they recommend what is best in the industry. They also deal with insurance and city paper work and approvals so they advocate for you and ensure you get your home back as quickly as possible. My duplex was destroyed by fire a year ago. It was quite an experience that I'll never wish on anyone!! I was devastated and confused until God sent Ralp, Allan, and Daniel from Good Life Fire Restoration to my rescue. I can not thank these gentlemen enough, for the wonderful job they did to restore my property!! They were magnificent in their profession!!! Once I replaced the tankless water heater, I had to deal with the residual damage from the water. The insurance folks sent out a demo team to take all the damaged wall/ ceiling and mold out. The insurance gave my Contact info to a Renovation company they use and said that they would call me. After a couple of days, I did not hear anything so I researched and found these guys on Yelp. They came out the same day provided a quote and I feel that their prices were reasonable. The insurance had already paid me out for what they guesstimated the cost of repairing everything ( i didn't tell them how much I was paid out) and it was comparable to what they quoted me. Although they said if their quote was more, they had no problem going back to the insurance folks to deal with them in regards to more money to do the project. Thankfully, we didn't need to do that. However, I thought that was important to mention because I didn't realize that a lot of people do not want to deal with insurance companies. I was turned away a couple of times when I was trying to find somebody to Replace the water heater and I needed them To provide information to the insurance company. These guys came in and we're so quick and efficient. I had a partial ceiling missing in my living room and in my garage. The wall that separated my living room and garage were missing. They Did the sheet rock,installation, crown molding, painted, Mounted all my cabinets and hooked back up my washer and dryer and sink in a few days! I'm definitely recommending them to friends and family.

Eric and Gideon returned a couple days later and got to work, Eric did all the under house work which is really difficult under ideal conditions, my crawl space is very tight so less than ideal, but Eric managed his way through it all and got the job done and did it all with a smile. He was generous enough to start setting up fans before confirming to work with them and was very informative and communicative throughout the whole water mitigation process. Always showed up on time and was responsive to any questions I had. Him and his crew were awesome during the demo portion. Put floor and wall protection down and cleaned up after the job was done. Highly recommend Chris and his team to help you out. Very professional and glad It was a good and smooth process coming from horrible situation with water damage. Chris completed his job but the overall job isn't fully complete. Still have to work with them for the rebuild and hope the process continues to be smooth and effortless.

It seemed that the main prerequisite for potential employees was an ability to lie, in every…read moredepartment including upper, middle, and lower management. This made working with them impossible. They overbid the entire project in the tens of thousands and refused to abide by their contract. As an example, they held my contents hostage in their warehouse while I was waiting for a full and complete inventory as per our contract. Apparently not providing the inventory worked well for them while they billed $3100 per month in storage fees for ~ 3 years. When released, the same contents were moved to a very nice, clean, temperature controlled, indoor, storage facility with 24 hour security which charges ~ $300 per month. My advice, stay far, far away from ServPro. Whatever disaster they are called upon to fix will be stressful enough, but the stress they will add to the problem is immeasurable. Just call DH Construction instead at (916)481-3297 and save your sanity, time, and money.

The service master team was responsive, courteous and did their best to dry the impacted areas. Not everything could be dried so they did a nice job carefully removing a 4 foot base cabinet. Robert was great to work with. He was communicative, responsive and professional with his and his teams interaction.
