A-1 certainly lives up to their name. There isn't much to expect with a storage place, they all offer the same thing, but A-1 has a great staff and prices better than everywhere else I have been. The people here are actually friendly and their facility is wonderful. Definitely stop by if you need boxes or to store stuff... Just like I did! read more

I have used several storage places, and this one is the BEST! The management is organized, efficient, and everyone is friendly and helpful...a far cry from some of the "shady" and disorganized places I've stored in the past. The people are great, and not trying to pull a fast one on you to make $...I only had to store my stuff for a couple of months, and I didn't have to worry about getting stuck in some crazy contract. The facility is clean, gate hours are flexible, and the parking lot was usually wide open when we were there, so it was easy to unload a moving truck. If I'm ever back in LA, I will DEFINITELY use this place for my storage needs! read more

This review has been long over due. I would highly recommend using this facility. Russell (site manager, I think), is so helpful, friendly, professional, patient, and really provides a great customer service experience, he really goes the extra mile. This site is clean, safe, excellent parking, organized and reasonable. I kept a storage space for a year after downsizing and after looking at other storage spaces in the neighborhood this is by far the better choice for the price and for the convenience of having it centrally located in the city. Oh, and not to mention climate control on those hot summer days and the cool piped in music, provides a comfortable environment when moving your stuff or needing access to your storage space. read more

I've been storing my stuff down the street from A-1 at Public Storage but those guys are greedy and unprofessional. They constantly go up on my rent - this time $38 a month. So I drove down to see Valintin at A-1 and he took great care of me. Welcomed me with open arms and a big smile. I found a place bigger than my old unit and saved almost $100 a month. Just an example of how bad Public Storage was overcharging me. The place is clean, safe and looks very secure. I have to say there's a lot of storages in storage facilities throughout the city and throughout this neighborhood community in area but I have owned several storage units at this place for the last 10 years plus it has always been super clean accessibility has always been amazing being able to enter and exit throughout the day until 10 p.m. is a great benefit especially for those of us who work in the industry and sometimes we need things in the middle of the day they also have 24 hour storage availability which also represents that anytime anyday anywhere for any use any purpose opportunity good place to keep things if you have to keep things somewhere else read more

I love this place! It has been the best experience storing our stuff here while we were in the crazy moving process. A-1 made it so simple and straightforward to do business. I love the hours, because it works with a 9-5p job very well. And the security is fantastic! We really appreciated their friendly staff! Always offering coffee and much needed water. One tiny note, maybe get a little better candy in reception (some chocolates?), but it's still pretty great to have candy like they do! Most places do not show that level of care for their customers. We would have loved to keep the great unit, but alas, we had to move on. When it was time to close our contract, they were so supportive and helpful, especially Alma. I came first thing in the morning and she offered me coffee and showed me the space- I love that the units themselves have security alarms vs public storage next door and the hours are much more flexible. Wow! What a wonderful experience. My reservation was correct. The registration process only took 3 minutes. This is a very clean and safe facility. Nobody can enter the elevator until they enter their personal PIN, then you're ready to go. The staff is very proficient and friendly. Free use of a flat-bed dolly was offered and I put it to good use. Being on the 3rd floor was not inconvenient at all. The elevator is very large. Thank you A-1 for the free first month rent. It may be a little extra in cost, but that is to be expected for the area and late-night access, etc. read more

My experience is based on renting a 10 x 20 unit on April 26, 2019 on Vineland Avenue. Thus far, I'm very satisfied with renting with A-1 Self Storage. I liked that I could reserve the unit on the internet (and over phone) at no charge for a limited time until I could view it in person to be sure. When I came to A-1 Self Storage, I was happy to see a clean and welcoming office. The building looked clean. The staff I met such as Aleli and Russell, were very kind and professional. Aleli was the person I've had the most contact with on different occasions and she has consistently been extremely thorough in answering my questions. She gave a tour of the 10 x 20 unit so I could see the unit before signing the contract. I was very happy to see the space was clean and had climate control. I decided to sign the contract and it seemed pretty upfront about the details and expectations. I did my research with multiple storage companies and know that the monthly rate will increase after 6 months so I'm not going to be surprised when it happens for me if I still need to have my items in storage longer. I really like the hours that the office is open and how one can have access to the storage unit until 10pm. I came prepared with some items to put into the unit and was very happy to learn that they had a long cart to transport items using the elevator. This helped tremendously on time and effort. So thank you for A-1 Self Storage on Vineland for investing in keeping a great storage unit, providing the practical tool of a long cart (instead of general dolly), and for making me feel comfortable in making the right choice. read more
