It felt like a fun two hour in town road trip, there were snacks, there were sodas, there were card games, we stopped for a pitstop at one point because of all the "are we there yet" comments from the peanut gallery in the back seat. I rented a van for my 6 person family here. Easy to Uber to from airport, quick process- no lines, friendly people who just made the process easy and quick. I was organizing a trip to Angel Fire, NM to ride mountain bikes at the bike park there. I had 10 people with bikes that wanted to go on the trip. A-1 had a 12 passenger van (plenty of cargo space in the back for the luggage!). I also needed to get 10 mountain bikes transported 567 miles to the condo we rented. It was no problem since A-1 had a 5x8 enclosed cargo trailer for rent. We got all 10 bikes to and from our destination with out a scratch or and they were securely locked up on our food stops. I booked this all online and both the pick up, and drop off was quick and efficient. The van was very clean and the trailer was already hooked up. I'll start by sharing that I've traveled a ton for work and leisure and have rented vehicles hundreds of times. I'll add that my experience with A-1 Van Rental was amongst the best experience I've ever had renting a vehicle. We needed 4 vans to haul 2 youth hockey teams and all their gear around for an event in Phoenix and the staff at A-1 went out of their way to ensure our experience was excellent. They are not at the Phoenix Sky Harbor Car Rental facility - so you'll need to secure a ride to their facility (they drove us back to the airport when we returned the vans), but all things considered it was significantly easier than what we've previously experienced renting through the big national agencies...we didn't have to wait for the shuttles, wait in lines at the rental center, wonder/worry if they will have the correct vans ready, etc. The vans at A1 were exactly what we had requested, they were clean and well maintained, they were ready to go when we arrived - and the staff treated us like we were family. I know for a fact that we will always rent through them when our team(s) travel to Phoenix - they are truly fantastic! read more

Two weeks ago, several families / two church groups rented 2 vans from A-1 for a 6 day Missions trip to the Tohono Oodham Indian Nation in Sell, AZ and one group of 10 people extended the trip to site see Sedona and Grand Canyon, AZ. Everyone was nice there and they even have a overnight parking that you can leave your car there so when you drop the van back off you have your own ride home.
