If I based this off of the quote and the initial contact I had with Ross then they would be getting at least 4 stars. I was flying from CA to AZ to have a car transported back to CA. They needed a minimum of 3 days- we were able to work out a 4 day window. Super. The driver called me saying he would be there to pick up the car- the day before I arrived. Not going to work, but I DO understand drivers run ahead and behind schedule, A-AAA called me and said they would call me TOMORROW and let me know a new pick up time. I e-mailed the next day. Nothing. I called and left a message the day after that. Nothing. By now I am in AZ wondering what the hell is going on. I finally get them on the phone a full 2+ days later and she says they are still working on it. They said they would call me back. Well they called back that afternoon- to say they would pick it up the day AFTER I leave. I am sorry I must have heard wrong- I gave these specific dates from the beginning since I was flying in to have this done. My favorite part being "oh so you want to cancel?" Could not have cared less- no apology, couldn't even fake that she cared. The drop in communication and lack of customer service was beyond a disappointment. For my move from LA to Dallas, A-AAA was contracted through Los Angeles Transfer and Storage. Ross kept the lines of communication open, and my car was picked up without fail. The issue came up a few days later. The driver, Billy I believe his name was, told my mom that the car would be in Texas on Sunday or Monday. Sunday comes and goes without a peer. I get a call on Monday that completely changed my view. The dispatch called to say the driver had been trying to get ahold of me and was unsuccessful. My phone hadn't rang without me answering. No missed calls or texts. I call Billy and he was extremely unprofessional. Billy proceeded to tell me that he had been calling and texting me all day and was getting sent straight to voicemail. He said he was now "far away" and that I "ruined his day". I had no missed calls, voicemails, or texts. I asked why he didn't reach out to dispatch or leave a message when he first supposedly missed me, and he had no answer. I called Ross back and told him how rude and unprofessional Billy was, and that I needed my car. A few minutes later, Billy calls back and magically is only 2.6 miles away from my apartment and can bring my car "within an hour". He asked if he could drive my car from his location and I drive him back to his truck. I was upset, but I agreed. He brought my car to my location an hour later (still have no idea why it took an hour if he was only 2.6 miles away). No outside issues, but my car's computer had the wrong time and date, as if it had been hard reset. Can't say if I would recommend them or not after that experience. read more

My car just arrived on a trip from NYC to California and I'm pretty excited that it got here in one piece and really happy that I went with A-AAA Auto Transport. The entire process from Price Quote to Delivery was very pleasant. The representative stayed on the phone with me for nearly half an hour answering all my questions about the overall procedure, insurance, accidents, what I could/could not ship inside the car, whether it was best on the top tier or bottom, etc. (all questions you should ask). After filling out an application and getting the confirmation I worked with Ian, who kept me updated with the process, sent me the contract via e-mail and worked out pricing. I gave my credit card information for the deposit - the rest of the cost must be in the form of cashier's check and given upon delivery of the vehicle. I chose to eliminate the middle man and drop my car off at the shipping site in New Jersey - meaning less times the car would be transferred on and off trucks, not having to wait around for a pickup, and not having to witness a large truck loading my car up in a tiny street crowded street with low trees, etc. The site was a large parking lot and the attendants were very helpful. Just as a note: the holding location was third party, not owned or affiliated with A-AAA. Although I dropped my car off on a Friday morning, my car left New Jersey the following Tuesday/Wednesday (I didn't mind, but this may bother others). Then the wait. 7 days later ... and after making a couple of check up phone calls, I finally received a call that my car would be dropped off within a 2 hour time frame. Once it arrived, I did a careful inspection of the paint and glass for any nicks or dents, and to my surprise found none. Overall, just happy to have my car back one piece and glad I found a trustworthy company. I would take away a half a star for the lack of communication towards the end (day of and before delivery) ... I felt a like I was left hanging and had to initiate the calls - but then I'd have to put the half star back because I'm severely paranoid and maybe over thought this. One way to solve this problem? I would love to see some sort of online tracker ... that would definitely keep me at ease for the next time, although I'm hoping there isn't one because SUN is better than SNOW. read more

A week later called for an update and they had no idea where my car was nor had any communication with an apparent 3rd party transport company that had my car on a lot, unsupervised, for who knows how long. My buddy told me that his parents had used them when they moved their car down to Florida, and I needed my car transported from Long Island to Miami, so I contacted them to set up the move. I worked with Ross and Ian, who were both professional and easy to work with. They gave me a very reasonable rate considering how expensive it is to do the snowbird route. They found me a driver who picked up my BMW in the contracted time frame. Speak to Ian over there. There are 2 guys that sound like they are from Brooklyn or something and there voices are the same. Ian is nice and knows whats up. They need to replace their psycho carnival on-hold music, but that is the only rip I have on them. i needed to transport my 2000 Honda accord from Santa Monica out to the DC area. The rate to move it I think cost more than the car itself, but I love the thing. i had many memorable nights in it (and mornings). Anyway, if I were to try to replace the vehicle with anything else, I would have to pay a lot more. The driver Emmett was a pro and did an inspection and everything. They told me to get my car in 7-10 days from NJ to CA and actual time they took is exactly 2 weeks. They charged me 1400 $ which is premium cost. Every time I have to follow up .. car picked up was delayed and based on estimated delivery date on bill of lading it was delayed by 6 days. This company is terrible and does not deserve your business. They say they have a A+ with the BBB and really care about their customers, but this is nothing more than a way to gain your money and trust. After I had paid they outsourced the shipment to Lakes Transportation Inc to ship my cars from CA to FL. When my cars arrived in FL the driver claimed to be unable to find my home address so he unloaded my cars into an intersection. Yes - an intersection. When I looked over the cars I found the Infiniti had damage to the hood, when I asked the driver how this could have happened he said he had no clue, wasn't interested in talking about it and that I need to take it up with his insurance company. I like many others here did everything I was asked to do by, A-AAA Auto Transport, Lakes Transportation Inc and Progressive Insurance (Lakes Transportation Inc) insurance company. In the end Progressive told me they believed there was only $700 worth of damage, that Lakes Transportation Inc deductible was $2,500 and that they would not be involved and that Lakes Transportation Inc would just need to send me a check for the $700. Every repair shop I gained quotes from said the damage was way over $700 and I eventually had to get my insurance company involved to go after these crooks. Everyone of these companies involved in this transaction should have their business license revoked. Say your self a ton of money, headaches and sleep by using a different company! read more

I'd stay away from this company. Entered into an agreement with A-AAA to transport my car from Stamford to Austin, TX. Had to give them credit card info up front. I gave them several weeks notice and we agreed on a 2-day window of time for the pickup. A week before pickup they called to say the dates did not work, setting another date a full week beyond original date. New date meant I'd have to rent a car for a week in Austin. Not acceptable! So I got another company to do the transport, and called A-AAA to cancel. After cancelling on ME they said now that because I was cancelling the 2nd date they would charge my card $100 for a cancellation fee. I pushed back on that so they charged me "only" $50 for cancelling the job they had already once cancelled. This is the kind of slimy behavior that gives this industry a bad name. Go with Nexus Auto Transport. They did the job with no drama within 3 days of my call. read more

Even though I live in Bronx, I decided to save about $150 by having a buddy of mine drive me to meet the truck in Jersey Talking like 3,000 miles. I couldn't do it for that low myself even if I tried 10 tanks of gas= $40 tank = $400 500 milles a day= 5 nights in hotel = $90 a night including taxes for non super sketchy motel = $450 Food for 5 days = 30 / day the least = $150 A week of lost wages = (not much) Stress = a lot Wear and tear to the car=? So even at a conservative number, I would have to pay $1000 the least and that isn't counting certain things like a chiropractor for the rest of the year to fix my broken back after a drive like that. I knew that they were not closed by that time. I had no other choices but sending my car with that Driver because I had a flight on exact day to WA. Ross' assistant called me exactly the time that Driver picked up my car. Also Ross called and said we know your car has been picked up. I told him that he promised for 3-5 business day delivery, but your driver said I will receive my car in 15 days. Of course I was so angry when I was talking to him. I planned for a trip on long weekend. I told him that I have to pay for rental car in that extra days. He talked to me so bad and said you have to pay all the fee in cashier check and he won't answer my phone from that moment and he hung up on me. I sent another email to him since he didn't answer the phone after. explained everything again and no response. On scheduled delivery Date, I called the shipping company to see when they will deliver my car. he told me that they just received the billing information from AAA-Auto transfer and the car will be pick up on That day (the car was picked up from CA on scheduled delivery Date!!!!!) I called AAA-Auto transfer and talked to Ian. Ian deduct $105 after lots of negotiation and sent a letter to confirm I'm satisfied...Of course by that time I confirm I'm satisfied, but who gonna be satisfy when the car has 2 weeks delay and should rent a car fro another extra 10 days?!!!!! At least Ian deduct $105 and tried to Help me, but Ross did a very unprofessional reaction! Sorry for this company. Horrible experience overall. SC to CA transport. Car did arrive in one piece, but extra 350 miles driven, alignment screwed up, and rims scratched. Pickup June 16/2016: No heads up. Driver (USCARS transport) called at 6pm stating he would arrive by 10pm...Long story short, he arrived at 1 AM on a weeknight and wanted to meet in some random parking lot. One barely spoke english and started marking off non-existent "dents" and scratches. After some back and forth, I needed the car shipped so had to proceed,(after all, I have pictures taken from earlier that evening).. Dropoff: A random driver drops off my car within stated time period who states he picked it up from a warehouse in LA. When car arrives, obviously dirty(as expected) BUT 350 EXTRA MILES DRIVEN!!!! I have picture proof of odometer readings. When I questioned driver, he states he has no relation to the transport company or pickup company and that he has no idea about the miles driven. I reached out to Maria at A-AAA transport with email a short while after this transpired, and no response whatsoever. I have 3 more vehicles to transport BUT WILL DEFINITELY NEVER USE AGAIN, and I have told all of my colleagues who engage in frequent interstate moves to steer clear as well. read more

Consumer BEWARE! DON'T USE THIS COMPANY! I picked A-AAA Auto Transport of Connecticut based on good reviews from this website, but regret that decision. Beware! A-AAA is not a Carrier but a BROKER and is only as good as the trucking companies they hire, which were not good. I needed a car transported from Texas to Mass. I hired A-AAA Auto Transport. They, in turn, hired two trucking companies in Texas: S&S Transport and Rotex Express. When the vehicle was picked up the Bill of Lading had no damage recorded on it. When I received the vehicle in Mass, it now has damage recorded on the original Bill of Lading. Even when I showed Ian, Vice President at A-AAA, what I believe to be fraudulent activity on the part of the carrier, he sided with the trucking company in Texas. UNBELIEVABLE! A-AAA doesn't make it clear that they are only a broker anywhere on their website. The perception is that when you hire them that they will be responsible for your vehicle. But they then brokered the job out to someone else. And apparently, when a problem occurs, they don't do anything to help their paying customers. So when they say that they are FULLY insured, it is misleading. You have to go after their choice of carrier's insurance for the damage and these trucking companies have a special type of CARRIER insurance with a deductible that does not cover in the same way as regular motor vehicle insurance. This means I am stuck paying almost $2000 for damage done by their hired carriers in Texas. When I asked A-AAA Auto Transport if they were insured they said they were. But because they were not the actual carrier, but instead brokered the job out to a contractor, the job I hired them to do did not fall under their insurance. Of course, they did not inform me of this beforehand. This makes it easy for them to "wash their hands" of any problems. When you hire A-AAA Auto Transport in Connecticut, I believe you are taking a gamble. You may get good carrier, but if you are unlucky your vehicle may get damaged like mine. And if it is damaged, you will not receive any help from A-AAA Auto Transport. Is that a risk you want to take with your vehicle? read more

I did a TON of research online before picking a company to ship my car from Hawaii to Minnesota, and A-AAA Auto Transport was the only company I found with great ratings on all the review sites I could find - except here, which is strange. A lot of sites recommended not going with the company with the lowest quote, and A-AAA was on the lower end of the dozen quotes that I received. With everything I read about how the industry works, I expected that I might have to pay more than the quoted price in the end, but they stuck to their word! They communicated well, and did NOT ask for any money up front. Ross knew the time difference to Hawaii and they were very careful about not calling me too early in the morning. Ross estimated my car would not be here until 7/25 or 7/26, and it arrived on 7/22 - my dates were flexible and it worked out great having my car here sooner. Excellent customer service! read more

I needed to ship my son's car from Upstate New York to San Francisco recently and so I looked into auto shipping brokers. I settled on A-AAA, and was not disappointed! After talking with several brokers, I chose to go with A-AAA. Their quote was middle-of-the-road - that is, I paid a bit more than the lowest bid - but I'd heard there are brokers that low-ball and then might ask for additional money to help expedite the transport. So I decided to not go with the lowest quotes. A broker does not actually ship the car but arranges shipping with vehicle transporting companies. So I wanted to be sure the car would get shipped as agreed upon. Another important element is the quality and reliability of the vehicle shipping companies a broker uses. And again, I was not disappointed. I found the overall process smooth, beginning with the initial phone calls (a first one to check out the broker and the next to set up the shipping). I was told the steps involved, and there were no surprises. The trucker showed up within a couple of hours of the date/time of when it was arranged - and he was in phone contact with me prior to that (he gave me a couple of hours lead time that I requested so I could get out of work). When he arrived to pick the car, it was clear from talking with him that he's done this vehicle shipping work regularly. He took care when loading the car and then delivered it, 2700+ miles later, exactly when he said he'd arrive. The car arrived in good shape. I paid a fee to the broker, and then the rest of the payment went directly to the driver. A word of caution about the process. While this didn't happen to me, it became clear that if there is any car damage, that is between you and the car shipper, not between you and the the broker. So it is important to be sure the Bill of Lading is accurate, including the description of any pre-existing damage (scratches, etc.) on the car. And then the car should be carefully inspected at the receiving end, before the driver is paid. I was relieved that my shipping went smoothly, and will consider A-AAA again should I need to ship again. read more

I placed an order on 5/8/20 to have my car transported from CT to FL by 6/1/20 as I was relocating. The initial order stated my car would be picked up by 5/26/20 then was updated to 5/28/20. This wasn't an issue as it still fell into the 5 day window they needed for transport. I paid $795 in full on 5/12/20. Unbeknownst to me, A-AAA does not do the actual transporting but out-sources to transportation services. No biggie... however in this case it is a biggie. My car was not picked up until 5/31/20, the day before I flew out to FL and Iwasn't notified until 5/30 after having called several times leaving several messages. It is now 6/3/20, I still don't have my car and will likely not receive it for another 2 days. What's worse is that when I expressed my dissatisfaction with their service (via email with no response but finally got Ross on the phone today) and requested a refund of a portion of my payment they were not receptive and gave me the run around. This service was absolutely reprehensible. I will never use them again or recommend anyone else does. I will also notify the moving service who referred me to them. North America Van Lines did an amazing job moving my personal property and exceeded the deadline as my items were here before I even arrived in FL. I don't think they would want to be affiliated with such poor service. read more

Do not use this company. Save yourself the stress and headache! I have been given several different ETA's for the arrival of my vehicle at this point. Initially I was advised it would be Tuesday or Wednesday. Then Thursday or Friday and now I'm being told it's MIGHT be Saturday. I asked them to shop my vehicle from TX - NC and was told I would have a weekend pick up. Monday I received a call asking "How was the pick up" yet the vehicle had not been picked up at all. I was then advised I would get the vehicle Tuesday or Wednesday at that time. It is now Friday, I spoke with the driver this essay morning who stated he had a break down and wouldn't be able to get it to me till Friday afternoon. Later in the day he advised it MIGHT be Saturday. I have been spending close to $95 a day on transport to and from work, which is close to $400 I could have saved if I just went with a more reliable company. I am and they are still uncertain about when I'm going to receive my vehicle at this time and I'm very upset with the expenses I am accusing during an already expensive move at this time. read more

I recommend calling her at around noontime during the week, as I was able to reach her each and every time. I was considering just driving the car myself from West Coast to NYC but that is a painful trip. To not even enjoy myself, I would be spending more than it cost to move the car. They charged me $895 and it was done inside a week! I totally thought it was going to take double that time. Maria called me up to give me status, she even gave me the cell phone for the driver, but my thoughts are to just do everything through Maria so that it is one person only that you have to answer to so that conversations don't have to be rehashed with somebody else. I fired them, found and called A-AAA Auto Transport, talked to "Anna" in customer service, and she had my car picked up within a couple days and delivered without so much as a scratch in three days flat. A-AAA is fast and has great customer service. I transported my car from New York City area to San Francisco area. I dropped my car on Tue. Their truck picked up on Thu, and the car arrived the following Tue!! This is less than a week, from New York to California. The management was patient and helpful in answering my questions. The young woman working at the New York office gave me a ride to a bus station after I left my car. During the pickup day, I was anxious that the young guy who drove the truck will miss me, and I called him a few times to fix a pick up time and location. Throughout this time he was very patient and answered my 3+ calls. Awesome customer service. The only improvement I can think of is including directions to the New Jersey office in the email.
