In January I had my worst fear come true. My 40 year old drain field had finally failed. I wasn't…read moresure what to do or who to call. I was given the name of a trouble shooter, named Jim Henry. He responded right away and brought someone to accompany him who had a back hoe. Prior to Jim coming out to my home, he researched my home and reviewed aerial photos of my home and was able to determine where my drain field was located. What the County had on file were two different systems, neither of which was what I had. Jim had the back hoe operator start digging to locate the distribution box and I could see that my system had failed. Jim immediately went to work coming up with a design and location for a new drain field. He took care of acquiring the permit. He is well known and respected at the County so the turn around time was very fast. I was very concerned that I would have to continue pumping my septic system as I knew I was on borrowed time. Jim was very respectful of my concerns and was very informative in providing me a realistic time line. He sent out my new design to installers he had worked with in the past and felt did quality work. I selected STE, LLC. I feel like I won the lottery by selecting these two gentlemen. The quality and communication have been excellent. I would recommend Jim Henry and STE to anyone and would be glad to be listed as a reference. I am glad this is all behind me now and understand how daunting the news can be when you hear your drain field has failed. It was nice they took the time to look up my property when I called, so they knew the size of the septic tank and location....basically everything they needed to bid the job. Tank pumping is/was two weeks out, but since the county gives you about 3 months noticed to get it done, that wasn't an issue. Pumper arrived on time and got to work. I like to "participate" and don't get offended about what is going on (i.e. Doesn't gross me out). I asked him all sorts of questions and learned something in the process. I was really impressed about how thorough he was. Tank looked brand new inside! Definitely will use them again the next time it needs pumping.
