Anthony is very knowledgeable, helpful and honest. He could easily have charged me more and I would have paid without hesitation, but instead he educated me on the functionality of the fireplace, how to keep it clean and how to save money in the future. He cared more about helping than making a quick buck. Who has ever said that about a contractor. We hired Anthony at A&A to do a lot of masonry work on our apartment building, and his team did an amazing job. They were efficient and polite, did great work, and at a very affordable price. We are thrilled with the results. A&A repaired the cracks on the facade of our building, rebuilt the stoop which was cracking and falling apart, resurfaced the concrete walls around the garden apartment to prevent future cracking, and filled in the cracks in our sidewalks. If I could give 0 stars I would have. They came and put a sealant on my roof. The roof was leaking a week later into my ceiling. Anthony told me if there are any problems call me and I will come back. Once I saw the damage to my ceiling again I called Anthony and he missed 3 scheduled appointments that I had to take work off for. I spoke to Dana in his office also who was pleasant and said I will make sure someone shows up. That never happened either. In March 2020, I hired Anthony from A and A Home Solutions, LLS for the front roof replacement of my house. Two days before the workday, Anthony ensured me that he had all the materials ready for the job. On the day of work, he and his workers supposed to arrive at 8:00 am. But they did not show up until 3 hours later. His workers told me that they went to the store for buying materials. Anthony left the worksite shortly after their arrival and left 2 workers working by themselves. Since he was not there supervising the work process, I had to keep a close watch to ensure that they were working according to the work descriptions. When I saw that his workers did not level the wood frame as written on the contract, I called it out to them. They did not want to listen to me and thought that I was trying to give them extra work. When I called Anthony for this matter, he told me that he was at another job and could not talk to me. He told me to call his wife, Dana. Since she knew nothing about the scope of work on the contract, I had to send photos and explain to her about the issues. We went back and forth several times about different issues. She became irritated and talked angrily and unprofessionally to me. Did she not know that it was her husband's fault being absent at the worksite, and not giving clear instructions to his workers what needed to be done? The lack of/poor communication of Anthony with his workers caused conflict between me and his workers when I called out issues to them. At one point, his workers threatened me that they would quit and walk out of the job. They were acting very unprofessionally. I was very disappointed that I hired and paid a company to do the job, I ended up to be the one who was there to watch the work process. That is ridiculous. Since the workers had to level the wood flaming that they missed, the work process was delayed. At 5:00 pm, the sky turned dark. But they did not want to come back the next day. So they rushed to finish the job. Since they worked in the dark, they had the black tar bleeding out of all the seams between rows of rubber. There were black footprints (from the tar) all over the light grey roof and black tar all over the white P.U. pipe. The next morning, I saw that the rubber was not laid properly on the roof. They buckle. Later on, a roofing expert told me that they put the wrong felt sheet below the rubber. They should have put the base sheet. The rubber roof does not adhere to the felt sheet. They are separated, loose, and buckled. A strong wind can blow the new roof away. Water can be blown underneath the rubber. They also did not put the ice and water shield below the rubber. The next day, Anthony saw how bad the outcome of his workers' work. He told me that he would come back and put another layer rubber on top. I paid for a new roof. Why would I want 2 layers of rubber on the new roof? On top of that, he promised to match the color of the existing shingle roof. But the color of the new rubber is much lighter and does not match at all. He signed an agreement that he would come back to fix the roof upon his return from his coming trip. I have been waiting for him to come back for the past 4 months. Dana told me that he would come back on July 5 and contact me on the 6th. So far I have not heard from them. Before July 5, I found out that Anthony did not apply a permit for this job. I noticed Dana that Anthony had to fix this issue upon his return. She called me and yelled at me on the phone. She gave me a hate speech with racial discrimination saying, "You are Chinese, right? You brought the coronavirus here. You should go back to your country." I have already filed a complaint against Dana through the Division of Human Rights. I went through the same terrible experience with this company as Peter Kaplan did (who wrote the other review). I agree and support his review of 100%. Their work is shoddy and unacceptable. I am very regretful that I hired this company, and would not recommend them to anyone. If you don't want to be scammed and humiliated, stay away from them. read more

I had these guys come out and give me an estimate after they impressed me with their honesty and professionalism while dealing with my sister's property. They gave me a very good quote on new gutters, showed up immediately to do the work, and when they were delayed for several days due to terrible upgraded the work that was being done to compensate for the delay. They even did some additional work on the property that they thought needed help free of charge. read more
