I wish I had read reviews first...charged me 2x what I was quoted on the phone - when I challenged it, he said my quote didn't include labor? WHAT?!....worst of all the vehicle is doing exactly what it was doing before - their guess of what was wrong, was WRONG...a 1300 mistake. Of course, they ask me to bring it back...right...So I can pay for more guesses? Michael worked on a couple of my cars in years past. Transmission torque converter broke. Brought back to Michael again, told me worst case scenario $2500. Paid 2300. Went a month and trans dump on me again. $400 to tow back to shop. Told me he didn't fix that part, kept calling, never called me back! Finally caught him he said $800-$1500 without labor. Thief.......Hadn't responded to me......now shop is locked. Must of closed shop. My car is still locked in his shop......anyone else with similar problem? read more

I have brought 3 vehicles to Mike at A&A Transmission Center. Mike and his employees have done outstanding work on all three, Major repairs on transmissions, both manual and automatic done without any problems to date. Future customers beware. A few years back, this place was decent. I brought my vehicle in and despite the long wait to have the repair job complete, I was happy with the end result. Unfortunately, I do not know what has happened to A&A. Their customer service has plummeted. I had my vehicle towed in at the end of May for a diagnostic. The vehicle was misfiring and I wasn't sure what was going on. I was told I would get a call by the end of the week to let me know what the problem was. I received no response. Waited another week and decided to call myself. No answers or no callbacks. I wish I could say a lot of back and forth with calling but it was always a one way effort. At one point I finally get a hold of the shop and was told the vehicle was not starting because it needed a new battery and that was the problem. I had to explain to them that car was starting before and it was misfiring and making a weird noise. I decided to bring over a brand new battery since the old one would not hold a charge and dropped it off as soon as possible so I can finally get the diagnostic result. I did so, left, and waited again for the word. Another week or so goes by and nothing. I called back for what seemed like the 100th time. This time I was informed they heard the sound but they would call back because they needed the paperwork from a few years back to see if the engine was still under warranty and they would call back once they find it. I waited another two weeks and had to call back AGAIN trying to get an update. Their excuse? Still trying to find the paperwork. At this point I flat out told them that it has been over several weeks and to find a piece of paper is a poor excuse for never returning ANY calls or updating me on anything. I call again to get an update, again, and still the same problem, looking for the paperwork. I finally had had enough as of 07/20/2018 I decided I am going to the shop and handle this face-to-face. Since obviously, no one is willing to call me and I have been a car short since the end of May, I've decided to go and be a squeaky wheel. I showed up first thing in the morning and Ron told me Mike (the owner) was on the way. If we can give him until noon and Ron will have Mike call by then since he had the documents. That is when I told them they had until noon. If I didn't receive a call I would be back. Sure enough, NO CALL. Why am I not surprised. I showed up around 1:20 and also not surprising, no Mike. I kept getting told, Mike will be in, Mike knows what's going on, or Mike needs to give us the GO to start the repair. It was now just after 2 at this point to which I decided no more. I'm not waiting for Mike and I sure as hell don't want them working on my vehicle if they can't even perform a diagnostic. Considering I can't rely on them for a simple diagnostic, I definitely don't want to rely on their repair work. I had the car towed out of there and took my services elsewhere. Mike showed up as my car was getting picked up and he never bothered to acknowledge me, apologize, or ANYTHING. He wouldn't even talk to me and just walked by like I didn't exist. Upon signing my papers out, I noticed they tried to lie about how long my vehicle was in the shop. They have it listed as being there for only a month. Then I noticed when my car was brought home there was a new scuff/dent on the front of it. Just wow. This place is literally honest to god the worse experience I have ever had in my entire life. It is so painfully awful this place I dont know where to begin with. Unqualified staff working the front desk, never kept me the customer informed of anything I had to literally call them to ask for answers and when I would they would give me attitude like little sissy girls. They kept giving me excuses after the next delay after delay. lie after lie. unprofessional at its best. These people just straight dont give a fuu** about nothing. They have the dignidy to shipp my car elsewhere for repair and refuse to tell me what location it was sent for repairs to leaving me to call every single shop in a 200 mile radius to see if I found my car there and none of them have my car. GARBAGE. I have been taking my cars here since I was a teenager and they've always done a good job, but they're complete trash now. I took my Mazda here because the transmission light came on, Brandon the mechanic told me there was nothing wrong with the car and serviced the transmission. Less than two weeks later, my transmission light came on again for the second time, I took it straight to Mike the owner and he said the computer module needed to be replaced which would take three weeks and cost about $3,000. So we waited the three weeks until the parts came in only to find out from the Mazda dealer, the part was never ordered. We called Mike directly and confronted him and forced him to order the part and fix the car immidiatly. He "fixed" my car and I picked it up a day later. My transmission light came on AGAIN the very next day for the third time. I didn't return to this crook, who took $3,000 from me, I took my car straight to the Mazda dealership in victorville, only to find out that it needed a whole new transmission and they only charged me $2,000 for a BRAND NEW transmission and the part that A & A "fixed" was never actually broken or missing. Do not go here, you will be out thousands of dollars and have to go to a real mechanic to have they're mistake fixed. read more
