This has become my go to shop from needing tires, an oil change, a tune up, or more recently an axel repair. Being a woman with little to no automobile knowledge is intimidating when walking into a mechanic shop needing help. I never once have felt like I'm being taken advantage of here at Joey's. Every time I have walked in and explained my issue, or requested a service it seems like everyone stops what they are doing to assist me. Took my truck in to get a tuneup and spark plugs and they decided to loosen a coolant hose clamp behind the engine and created a small drip to try to get me to come back in I noticed my truck up in the air on the lift and started to get nervous. Got bad vibes from this place. Thought I would try and put some money in our local shop here and got scammed in to coming back. I literally drove the truck home and parked in the garage and the next day I saw it dripping coolant and did my own investigation and noticed that the hose clamp was loose oh and by the way, they forgot to put the dipstick in and I drove off an oil poured out of the engine and had to go back right away two red flags right off the bat These people are crooks that's why they couldn't even do quality work. read more

Took my 2008 Chevy HHR LT to Joey's for a thorough inspection and to fix a few ongoing issues. The passenger seatbelt was locked up and the rear windshield washer fluid flowed into the car like a waterfall. They replaced a few things, oil & filter change, flushed the coolant system and topped off all other fluids. They only had it for six hours from quote to pick up, all for a very reasonable price. I'm so impressed and will go back to Joey's as long as I'm living in Victorville. I'm happy and ready for a road trip! read more

I was a bit nervous, taking my Subaru here to get the transmission serviced however everything went really well. I mentioned I wanted to have my brakes looked at and after the mechanic took a look, they called me to let me know my brakes were fine. They did not need replaced. I thought that was super refreshing that as a female, they were not trying to take advantage of me. Everybody was super nice. My car is running better than before, I couldn't be happier. Absolute Garbage mechanics, and an upsell scheme! took a 2015 Ford Taurus for a blown water pump gasket. $1200 bones right out the door. Pump bearing blown. Being that I am a professional mechanic but spend 65 plus hrs a week on the road fixing Semis, I just dont have the time. I thought the price was steep but what you gonna do, it's a timing chain driven water pump so they would have to remove the valve cover upper intake, and timing cover to get to the damn thing. THERE WAS NO CEL or any other issues with this vehicle. picked up unit and was told my Catalytic was bad and that new repairs where gone be another $1700. repair lasted a month, then they had to redo the job. Owner was pissed because his manager had tried to buy a used catalytic illegally and supposedly terminated him. they covered expenses for parts and I paid $900 for labor. Ok, not bad right? a few weeks after they "repaired" the car, I was doing a master tune up on it, ignition coils, spark plugs, checking the injectors etc. These imbeciles didn't properly secure the upper intake manifold. they botched the valve cover installs so cylinder 2 and 6 spark plug tubes where absolutely drowned in oil. what are you guys even doing over there at Joey's? cuz automotive repairs ain't it. use big apple auto or anyone else!!! read more

I can't give these guys a lower score, my power steering pump, serpentine belt and tensioner all took a crap on me while I was working at cemex (I'm from WA btw and only work out here once a year) anyways the tow truck driver recommended these dudes to me, and I told them my bad experiences with other mechanics (like paying $1200 for a brake cylinder that takes 2 screws to replace) and he literally told me "that's why god bring you here" I was mega stressed because my daughters birthday is less than a week away and he made my car top priority and got what would have taken me a week to fix in less than 6 hrs while and gave me one of the most honest prices I've ever had from a mechanic, like the dude had to replace 3 parts (that I've attempted to replace before this trip and gave up on) and I wish I could share what he charged me but I promise you it's a tremendous deal for all the work he did! anyone who's given this man a bad review is probably a sociopath read more

UPDATE: Less than two days and less than ten driving miles after leaving this shop, my car caught on fire in the middle of the road. I researched and spoke with a few other mechanic shops and was told the same thing by all. The part that I had replaced here required them to remove the fuel lines to get to it and they were negligent in putting them back correctly resulting in a catastrophic fuel leak and my car exploding and burning to the ground. Went back to speak with the owner and was told I would have to take them to court to get any compensation. Do not come here unless you are willing to risk your car blowing up. read more

I wish I could give this place 6 stars Michelle at the desk went above and beyond, providing a truly remarkable level of customer service excellence. Given that my 1st gen Tundra needed a considerable amount of work (to me) - Timing cover, serpentine belt, timing chain, water pump, etc. - I expected to be stranded with a severe oil leak for ~2 days. Not at all! The team at Joey's, including the generous owner Eduardo, turned the service around in a mere 24 hours, despite having to order parts! I was so impressed with their expediency and care that I returned after the Christmas holiday and received a FREE tire rotation! I really wished I would've read all these reviews before I took my car up there... I was so desperate trying to find a car shop to fix my starter on my 2011 Volkswagen Jetta, before I clicked on this repair shop I did look at other ones but none of the others caught my attention like Joey's Auto Repair when I called and spoke to the receptionist a younger guy he informed to me I was going to have to only pay $100 and some change for my starter. Later that day I had another receptionist call me to inform to me it's not my starter, it's my ignition and that my price would be $369. About a week later they finally gave me a call to say my car was fixed but I had to keep it inside the shop for a while longer they kept rushing me to pick up my car, three days later I pick up my car on August 18,2023, I ended up driving my car to Los Angeles that same day and the next day August 19,2023 I went to a location and my key wouldn't start I tried to call the auto repair shop but I never got a pick up so I called a locksmith to see if it was the key because my original key broke in the ignition. To make a long story shorter the Locksmith fixed my key for $300 gave me two types of different keys after trying to get the car to start and then everything in his might to help a female in NEED right after I got my car out of Joey's Auto Repair for $775. Now once again my car is in their possession they said it was one minor issue now their saying I need to find another locksmith and pay for another key after their mechanic told me he was going to "Hotwire" my car to get it to the shop and it was going to be done the next day. Scandalous got my truck fixed and it cost me $4500. They had to hire somebody from LA to retrain my computer to learn a transmission transplant that never needed to be replaced to begin with a month later my transmission failed and I took it back into them conveniently they changed management so whenever they go to screw you over they will change management again and again so your warranty will not work. They wanted me to pay another $3500 to replace a computer when I took it to another transmission place. They charge me $100. This place Joey's Auto Repair on D St. in Victorville is the worst. The Mgr. ADAM is very Uncooperative, Rude & Disrespectful to customers. The Owner Serano is exactly like him ( 2-Pees In A Pot ). Had work done on my 2014 Fiat & I was charged $950.00 For repairs that I have come to find out months later, Must Of, Couldn't Of been done correctly. I ended up having to take my vehicle to a place in Azusa to find out that my suspicions were right . When I returned to Joey's Auto Repair to inquire about exactly what had been done to my car. His (Adam) response was "WHY", The next I requested a Copy Of The Invoice & He and Mr. Serano REFUSED to give me another print out. I will now pursue all Legal Channels to be either Rembursed, Have them pay to have my vehicle repaired correctly by another repair shop & I will Expose Them to everyone and anyone so no one else will have to go thru what I'm going through !!! Mind You, Today I'm going back attempt to get My Receipt. I found what I was given as a receipt, But looking more closely, In Print it was technically only A Estimate. They totally could have told me that I needed something done, but they explained what the code was and asked how long my drive was, and told me I could take it somewhere when I get home. DISHONEST & MANIPULATIVE. My grandmother brought her 2011 Chevy Malibu into this place to figure out what was wrong with the left headlight as it kept going out even when I would replace it myself. My grandmother paid this man 100$ for the work however upon coming to pick the car up, I was told she still owed 100$ on the car. I was confused because the owner had her pay when we dropped the car off, which was new to me, and that's what happened but apparently we had owed another 100$ for the "additional labor required to get into the unit." I was forced to swallow my tongue and let my grandmother handle the situation because I knew instantly something was off. Now, one week later the same headlight went out and that's when I knew this guy had got us. When this happened, I was in the middle of my work week so I wasn't able to take my grandmother with her car to the repair shop until three days later when the RIGHT headlight went out too... I was livid. The following day I went by myself with the car trying to figure what work he did and was told he simply swapped out the headlight........ for 200$. Then coincidentally, the right headlight went out almost two weeks within bringing my grandmother's car to this place. I lost my mind and took the car back. If I could give this place a -5 stars I would. First off they guaranteed me a date being Tues my car would be ready as I dropped it off on a Saturday morning. I informed them that I was going out of town Tues night and if the car was going to be fixed before by then I agreed to the repairs. Come Tuesday nothing is done and they tell me Friday knowing what I had told them. I told them I wanted my car back and I didn't want the repairs done since it wasn't what I agreed to. They then proceeded to say I still need to pay because supposedly they did do work but they were waiting on the machine shop. They basically tricked me into these repairs because they lied to me and obviously wouldn't give me my car back without paying them the $2300. I was stuck waiting till Fri and then the lady in the front desk confirmed with me it would be done on Friday within the hour that day. I informed them if I didn't make it on Friday I would come Saturday morning. Saturday morning I had not heard anything different so I took a $30 Uber to get there just to find out my car was not even ready. The young kid they have in back was very unprofessional and just argued with my dad over the phone instead of understanding the frustration and how this is not our fault especially all the stuff they pulled on me this whole time I was dealing with this place. Finally I get my car back the following Wednesday just to drive it all the way home and to find I drove my car with No oil in it at all. The guy told me they put oil in it and a solution but my car wasn't registering anything at all and now I know why it was running bad. Then I called to complain and they told me they would give me oil and tell me why this idiot gives me a gallon of oil meant for a foreign race car, like wtf is wrong with them! I have a damn 2012 Dodge Journey!!! I ended up having to buy my oil in the end of it all.They could of ruined my whole motor and I would never in my life recommend anyone to go there.
