This towing company gets a 0- they have an F rating with the BBB. My car was contracted with AAA for them to tow my car to Fletcher Jones in Newport Beach. The driver drove up with a cigarette lit in his mouth and told me to give him a minute to meet him at the dealer ship and call my phone and asked me to send him a text message with the address for Fletcher Jones. He text me again and asked me the address again and dropped my car in the back so I was not able to see the damages that were caused to my center shift counsel. I asked Fletcher Jones if there were any damages to the car because I saw him put a screwdriver to the center of the car and they stated it was cracked and not in the correct position and it was going to be 400.00 for the part to be replaced. I called the number 714 540-0204 and who ever answered the did not provide his name to me and put me into a voice mail box that was full, I called back and he saw my caller ID and put me in the same mail box that was full. I am so very angry with AAA to begin with and I will surly take this issue up with them for using a unprofessional vender. BEWARE! F rating with BBB read more

I had to call AAA twice. Once on Friday and this morning, Wednesday 10/10/18. I originally planned on going to a Pep Boys or a recommended mechanic but the tow truck driver, Ihab, suggested it was just a battery. So we jumped it and had the service truck with the batteries and tester check it. Tester, Faisal, said the battery needed replacement. He said the alternator was fine. I bought the battery from him and he installed it. Good battery, checked 9/18 with a sticker on it. Little did I know, the 'Diode Open' line for the alternator was in fact a sign of something more than the battery. This morning, just 5 days after the new battery was installed, the car had experienced the same issues. During the drive, warning lights flashed on/off. Headlights turned off. Gauges fluctuated. Using hazards or turn signals lost some power steering. Turning off the car meant it died, clicking noises. The battery was already replaced but the same issue happened so I think it's the alternator. Ihab came once again, giving great service. Punctual and so forth. The low rating is for Faisal, who I think misled me on whether or not the alternator tested good. read more

Hector and Joe helped me out big time today after my motor mount broke on my Mazda 5. My axle broke as I was driving and I was stuck on Newport Blvd. in traffic. Hector helped get my car pushed out of traffic but was hesitant to tow the car since the engine had dropped down so low. Joe was called with a flatbed truck and just pulled my car up with his cables and towed it to my mechanic. I thought my car might be a total loss but Hector's caution may have prevented further damage. My mechanic at A & G Imports said he can repair it. Also, Joe was nice enough to drop me off near my house after he dropped my car off. That was very nice! I really appreciated the help from both Hector and Joe on a day when I thought my car was a total loss. When things go bad it's great to have a little extra help and concern from the people you meet. I'm surprised by the 4.5* average A&B has based on my experience. I assume the experience could be good if things go as planned. Mine didn't go as they promised. I've been a AAA member for over 20 years and trust their service. But I'm starting to lose faith. I scheduled a pick up with AAA for A&B to pick up my car at 5pm. 4:45pm, I get a text from AAA that the driver will be at location at 5:05. No big deal. 5:20pm, no driver. I call A&B and they say it'll be another 20-30 minutes. Ok, that's sucks. 5:45, I call them asking where the driver was and they say..... they cancelled the pick up because I wasn't there. What? I was on the street the whole time. They say that they called me twice. My phone didn't show any missed calls. They left no voice mails. I tell them that's not cool. They then tell me they'll send a driver to pick up the car right away. You know where this is going, right? 6:15, no driver. I call, they don't pick up. Note to A&B - if you're not going to pick up my car, just say so. Don't lie to your customers. And to the manager who got aggressive with me, keep it up. I hope AAA cuts you from their roster. read more

I manage a personal car collection of over 120 cars. My boss and I both have a AAA membership. We typically use a local tow company for various tows to/from our mechanic, but from time to time a car needs an unplanned/quick tow and we call AAA. Today we called AAA for a tow to our mechanic making it clear that my boss (who owns the car) wasn't here. When A&B Towing showed up the guy refused to tow the car without the actual driver license on hand. I offered my AAA card and DL and still not good enough. He refused. This has NEVER been the case. After doing business with AAA for over 25 years this has never happened. I called them back and was quite upset and the representative said that they didn't need a physical ID, the card alone was enough!! I deal with MANY towing companies on a weekly basis and this was the rudest man ever. I personally think he just didn't want to work!! Sloppy customer service that's for sure!! If you need a good towing company, try AMZ Towing!! They are the nicest and most reliable guys ever!! read more

They don't carry insurance for their trucks. At first I lost my key to my car, so I called them to tow my car home. They came and total loss my car. When they were driving out of the mall parking lot, they didn't look at the clearance sign and that crashed my car. After that, they kept denying my claim even though I have the policy report and the photo that my damaged car was on their towing truck. After 6 months filing the claim with my insurance company, my insurance company told me that the towing truck doesn't have insurance. Do not call these people for anything. They are shady and dishonest, and don't even carry the basic insurance. read more

I had an issue with a battery that barely held a charge after it was jumped and my vehicle would die. So I am wanting to drive to pep boys about 1.5 miles from my place at 7:30pm and they close at 9pm. I get a quarter mile and my truck is sputtering, bad, so I keep driving to reach my destination. I don't get far. I call AAA. The battery my battery guy checked and my battery is super low. Put the jumper machine on it. Motaz was his name, I told him I wanted pep boys to replace my battery and I wanted to drive there and he was cool enough to follow me to pep boys to make sure I got there safely without issues. Super cool. My truck only goes 50 ft because my battery is shot or I have another issue. He says his friend has a larger battery charging pack, he calls him up and another AB towing was there in 3 minutes. Ashqar was super professional and helpful as well. I told him my situation that I was in a mission to drive 1.2 miles to pep boys. So we were all on a mission, he sets his charging device to my battery, I start my truck, and he tucks the larger battery pack in a safe place under my hood, so the hood is slightly open, and he follows behind me on the street going 15 miles an hour so the hood doesn't blow open, and he has his truck light on the top of his truck so other cars go around me safety. They gave me the customer experience in hopes to find, that I would give, and took pride in there work and represented their employeer well. And might I mention it is a cold rainy day and I was out of luck trying to get to the auto parts shop before they close. Thanks again MOTAZ and ASHQAR, Much appreciated.
