So that wasn't the issue. This mechanic still proceed to say that was the issue then took out the auto start and didn't put it back in after the alarm still went off with the auto start unplugged. We still payed for the first time and the second time since they said they'd put auto start back but didn't. They didn't listen. Didn't fix the problem and it was a waste of time and money for nothing to be done.

So I called to ask if someone could replace the trim clips. I have an enormous assortment, which I purchased online. Anthony said to bring the car over, and he'll take a look. Well, none of the 620 clips in the box will work. Pfffft. He said that the clips have to go in a certain way, and they slide on. He said that I will have to go to Land Rover for the clips, and he would install them. He very kindly put some more tape on the trim, and didn't charge me for it. I will get the clips, and return. I also need his help with another issue, and I feel very confident that he'll do a great job at a fair price. I am delighted to have found a good mechanic!! I have a wonderful mechanic in Colorado, and wasn't sure if I could find one of his caliber in NY. I'm happy to say that I believe that I have!
