My 3rd appt. coming up on 29 April. Same issue.Speed Queen washer is in warranty, making a loud squeaking noise as it spins tech diagnosed problem with bearings. AI scheduled appt. is somewhere between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, no way of knowing so I have to wait around all day and miss work to get appliance fixed. Tech was pleasant seemed knowledgeable, explained well. I'm looking forward to getting my washer fixed while in warranty. Tech ordered the 2 parts necessary and an installation tool came with it, but the major part did not, even though he checked to make sure he ordered it. Also, UPS said only 2 parts delivered. AT the beginning of May, My LG washer started leaking. I have an extended warranty through Home Depot, where my washer/dryer were purchased. The first repair appointment, the A and E service never showed up. The second appointment a no show. The third appointment a repairmen showed. He did not have the part needed, so he ordered it. The part came to me. The fourth appointment, all they had to do was show up and put the part on. Again...no A and E service person showed up. Do not buy an extended warranty with Home Depot, Sears or anywhere that A and E are their repair service. I will never purchase through Home Depot again. Awful service. These clowns (somehow related to Sears Factory Service in my area) have been retained by American Home Shield (AHS), who themselves should know better. Can't get ANYONE on the phone at A&E or Sears Factory Service. Confusing phone calls and text messages, which conflict with info on their website, and nobody to speak to when there's a question. I have to call AHS to complain, and they sometimes can get A&E on the phone. But over 2 months have gone by and the fridge is still not repaired. They send parts and then call with a recording to call them, and then when you call, there's nobody to speak to. When you do get an appointment, the window is 8am to 5pm, which means you sometimes need to stay home all day waiting. I've asked AHS to either get me another service organization and get the repair done, or replace the fridge, which is what's promised in their contract. read more

If I could give them a zero I would. I have a monthly contract with Sears Home Services (called CINCH), and pay a lot of money. They use A&E Factory Service for service calls. They make you take off a whole day of work from 8 am to 5 pm. They won't give you a shorter window. They don't call to confirm. You only get to a recording. The automated service confirmed my appointment several time. I took off work (the second time in a week for them to come), and when I called again, the automated service said they have to cancel. I have had them come so many times, lost so many days of work. Last time my dryer was broken, the tech told me to buy a new dryer! They are the worst. First, there is no way to speak to a human at A&E. All options on their phone tree lead to a message to go to their website then disconnects. A&E will schedule an appointment to repair your appliance between 8am to 5pm on some date. Their technician will no-show after you have been waiting for 8 hours without a call or message. You will then receive a robot call 1 hour or so after the technician was supposed to arrive stating that your appointment was rescheduled a week later between 8am and 5pm. This happened multiple times and there is no way to reach a human to have the problem escalated. read more

Miserable, irritating, exasperating experience from start to finish. A&E has terrible communication, their techs are incompetent, they send part after part hoping one or another finally fixes the problem. It was nearly a month before I got my washer running again. the reason that happened in less than a month is because I installed the new parts MYSELF! The first tech misdiagnosed the problem and A&E sent me the main control board and the cycle selector board. I installed them myself. that didn't fix the problem. 2 more techs showed up a week later and finally ran the onboard diagnostic tests. Why didn't the first tech do that? No idea. The diagnostic tests led to A&E shipping me 3 more parts. The motor inverter board, power board and the the motor stator. But it was 10 more days until the tech could return for the installation. I'm too old to sit in laundromats so when the parts arrived about 5 days later, I installed them one at a time. The inverter board did not solve the problem. Then I found out they sent me the wrong power board - it was missing connection boards and when I cross referenced the part number, it was for another machine. I had the motor stator on hand which had been slightly damaged in shipping - crap packaging! I installed the stator and magically, the machine worked! A&E sent me about $700 worth of parts plus their labor making this close to a $1000 repair that thankfully was part of the "extended warranty". It's an $800 washer! A&E is the worst run company I've ever encountered. It's no surprise that it's owned by part of the incompetent management team that ran Sears into the ground. Avoid this company at all costs unless you have the "particular set of skills" required to install your own parts. You have been warned. read more

Everything needs improvement! I placed a service call 4/1/24 someone came on 4/17/24 they ordered a part as soon f now 512/24 can't get in touch with company zero updates. The worst company I've ever done business with. They were hired by Choice Home Warranty which is just as bad if not worse was told for 2 weeks they'd have an answer 24/48 hours for 2 weeks. Unfortunately there are the only people that are allowed to perform warranty repair work on Frigidaire refrigerators. Repairman came to diagnose ice maker freezing up issue. Ordered 3 parts. A switch activated by door that he stayed was for the light. New ice tray mechanism. And housing for ice maker evaporator. 2 parts came in. Switch is on back order. 4 days after his visit refrigerator stopped working completely. They will not send someone out to check new problem with it because they have parts on order. No refrigerator for a week waiting for a part that will never come. Tested part myself and it works. They will not send anyone out. Run away from this company. Techs are incompetent, company unbending to corp procedure. Also refrigerator is just over a year old. $3k closet on my kitchen. read more

they did a repair for my elderly mother and overcharged ($510) for less than an hour of work for repairs to a Frigidaire refrigerator that had a recall (and should have been fixed for free under that recall). the repair was done more than a month after paying in full and was done with a $25 part from Amazon. This was scheduled through Sears Home Repair. I tried to contact Sears Home Repair but you cannot get anyone on the phone in their endless do loop automated phone system. I filed a complaint with the BBB. I would not recommend doing business with A&E Factory Service nor Sears Home Repair. They took advantage of an octogenarian living alone insisted she pay in full first and never gave her an invoice for that service THEN tried to get additional payment! read more

I don't know where to start. A&E is rude, uncaring, bureaucratic, unresponsive, annoying and their techs are incompetent. I've just endured the worst customer service event of my life at their hands. I have an extended warranty on a Samsung washer from Orville's (who are also culpable here) and my machine died. It was only 4 years old. 3 weeks of screwing around with Orville's "extended warranty" insurer "New Leaf" who hooked me up with A&E Factory Service and the machine still isn't fixed. The A&E tech made the wrong diagnosis, the part they sent didn't fix the problem and I'm back to square one. A&E had me set up for a follow up appointment today and then didn't show up and then, without telling me, rescheduled the appointment for the next day. The arrival window for their techs is 8am to 5pm. I have another day of sitting around. Takeaways here - DO NOT buy a Samsung appliance, DO NOT buy from Orville's, DO NOT buy their extended warranty through New Leaf and NEVER use A&E Factory Service for anything unless you want to be aggravated and still have a busted machine for weeks. My next option is to skip Orville's, go to Murphy's Appliances in Lockport and buy a new Speed Queen washer from them. No more Orville's or their lame extended warranty BS. I made an appointment for service and was given a 5-hour window. I received over 12 reminders about my upcoming appointment. On the morning of my appointment, I check the status and notice that the time of arrival surpassed the 5-hour window by an additional 2 hours. I few moments later the time changed adding another hour to the arrival time. When I tried to call it took several inputs and I was told that the arrival time was now 10 hours past the start of my arrival window two attempts and over 5 minutes. I called again to try and speak with a real person and after 5 minutes of inputs I received someone from a call center in another country who offer no assistance. read more

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. This company and the technicians it sends to your home are the most unqualified people to be dealing with the public. Ive been without a fridge for going on 2 months so far because each time the sears guy comes to my home which seems to be in one month intervals, instead of troubleshooting and diagnosing he just throws parts at it. RUN FROM THIS COMPANY. 7/20/21 was my original call for my dual fridge/freezer not freezing my food in the freezer part. Their soonest appt was 8/3/21. Not happy but ok I can deal without a freezer for 2 weeks. 8/3/21 the technician shows up like he's supposed to right on time. OK good i'm gonna be able to freeze some food again. I greet Charles from Sears at my door, invite him in, show him my problem, he sets his bag of tools on ground and pulls out his cell phone. He googles my model fridge/freezer and tells me theres a recall on the control board in the back of the fridge that he wants to order because of the recall and he's going to also put a new seal around my freezer door. He orders the parts and says he cant come back until 8/25/21 to install the parts he ordered. 8/25/21 same guy from sears shows up to install the parts. I was at work but my wife said he was here for less than 10 minutes and gone. Didn;t even stick around to make sure what he did fixed my problem. Just left. I got home that night and freezer was not fixed from Charles from Sears repair. I call and complain my freezer isn't fixed and they need to get someone out here immediately to fix it. They say the soonest we can be out is 9/17/21. I'm not very happy. 2 days go by and now my fridge stops working also. So now I have no freezer or fridge and I put all my food in coolers with ice. I call to notify them that my fridge stopped working also they said theres no way they can get out sooner than 9/17/21 but they gave us a link to check if any openings popped up from other people cancelling. So my wife checks that night and she gets an opening for that saturday 8/28/21. 8/28/21 Charles from Sears pulls in my driveway SMH. He comes in starts tinkering around and scratching his head and tells me I have a " dead compressor ". He goes out gets the compressor, installs it, and that doesn't fix it either. Now he says he has to order a 3 way valve and he'll be back on 9/17/21 to install that. This is not how an appliance professional fixes appliances. I only found out that the service was cancelled when I called to check status/ETA and the automated system told me I needed to reschedule - Not once, but twice!!! I have a Frigidaire refrigerator purchased on 12/2/2022. A&E was scheduled by Frigidaire for warranty service. Technician showed up bad mouthing Frigidaire products complaining that they are one of the worst brands to own. Technician looked in the freezer and stated that it was a safety hazard to repair because of electrical shock. Technician showed up a second time on 2/24/2023 again complaining about frigidaire products and how bad they are manufactered. I asked if he was going to repair the light that stays on and he replied " do you want me to" I stated yes and he said he would recommend the unit be replaced. as of 3/3/2023 Frigidaire has not received official report from A&E technician claiming refrigerator is unrepairable. This company is an absolute scam. I bought a brand new Frigidaire stove two months ago, and it is not working properly so I called Frigidaire as it is still under warranty, and they said they would send someone out to check out the stove free of charge and told me not to use it. They set an appointment for February 3, between 8 AM and 5 PM. I was up and ready for the technician by 8 AM. I finally received a text notice at approximately 11:30 am with a picture of the technician saying that he was on his way. I waited for him to arrive. At approximately 12:30 PM I received a another text message with a picture of my mailbox stating, "sorry we missed you." I was thoroughly confused as I had been waiting for this technician since 8 AM in the morning. Since it snowed heavily the night before I was able to go outside and see from the tracts he left in the snow that he pulled in the driveway got out of his truck walked two or 3 feet towards the house, turned around and got back into his truck and left. He did not call or text to tell me he was here. He did not knock on the door. I had to reschedule the appointment and wait until today, the 13 February. Again up and ready at 8 AM read more

Worst service ever!! Today was the 3rd time LG used A&E repair service for an issue with my 4 months old refrigerator. My first issue with them started when They canceled and rescheduled the appointment at the very last minute. Refrigerator issue - ice maker not working. 1st- repair call - replaced motherboard and technician advised the issue was the outlet where the refrigerator was plug into. Need to be replaced with GFCI outlet. Which I did - cost me $150 out of pocket. The guy had zero personality. 2nd - repair call - no water from dispenser and defrost error coded. Motherboard and module on top ordered. 3rd - repair call - technician came and right away he said the GFCI plug needs to be replaced with a regular outlet as per LG manual. We argued for a good 15 mins since I told him the 1st tech told me I need a GFCI! He became combative and started to mumble to himself saying that I was wrong. I said to him am not anyone who knows how fix appliances I rely on the professionals like you guys to fix it. If you tell me I need a GFCI I do as I am advised. He said it's in the LG manual - that you can't plug into a GFCI outlet. Of course he's wrong. Again zero personality. He replaced the parts and left with saying a word. I pulled up the LG manual online and no where in the manual does it say it can not be plugged into a GFCI. I even called LG and they confirmed. I basically wasted $150 to installed the damn plug on A&Es advise! Will Never use them again!!! read more

I attempted to request a refund, but of course their website wasn't working. I tried to speak to someone in their representative department, but their english was so bad I could not understand anything they said. A week ago today, I had a technician come out to service my Bosch microwave for the 2nd time this year. no it is not old!!! 2 days later it stopped working. As I did more checking I found out that their company is NOT authorized to service Bosch appliances. The part they installed was a glass fuse from China. The Bosch company told me that is insufficient and it could cause other problems . They said it should be a ceramic factory part only! I was told to go on the website to request a refund, but of course after hours of trying their website would not go through. I was charged $282.20 and $21.25 was for the china glass fuse. In addition to speaking with Bosch I spoke with and Electrician because the circuit breaker would not reset. He told me he was not an appliance guy, but suspected the fuse installed was not the right one. I also called a certified Bosch technician that unfortunately does not service my area, but also told me he believed the glass fuse from China NOT being a manufacture part is the cause of the issue. So there you have it. Sadly, I will have to wait for A&E factory services to come out in a week from today to tell them I want a refund because their website would not accept their form I filled out for a refund. In conclusion for all you consumers out there...I had waited for 2 months t get the service call and the night before they were suppose to come out they canceled and reschedule it for another month out. I had a service contract through service protection plus. the first appt was scheduled to repair the dryer and no one showed up. It was rescheduled for 2 weeks later and then again I stayed home form 8-5 as I did the first time and recieved updates that the tech would arrive between 5-7. Still waiting then the tech texted me informing me that he couldn't come and I had to reschedule. By far the worst display of cutomer service I have seen in the repair industry. The guy was here twice and didn't fix the issue. By the third appointment, I was message at 7:30 saying the tech was on the way, so I waited. I called their automated system at 8:10 and it said the tech would be here between 8:03 and 9:33. So I waited. At 9:38 I called and spoke to a person, who assured me the tech was on the way. At 10:30, still no tech, so I called back. The customer service representative, Abe, informed me that the tech had come and gone around 8:03 and now I would have to wait until he could come back, anytime between 10:30 and 5pm. I would recommend any other company. They are the only ones in the area who can do GE warranty repair, so I'm stuck with them, but if you have a choice, choose someone else read more

I had a broken freezer and I was assigned a technician throw my Home Warranty. They came...and they didn't fix the freezer. Now, three months later, their repair guy also broke my refrigerator. They no showed for the last two appointments. It's been six appointments total at this point. What's more, for the last appointment, they marked the appointment as completed even though no one showed up. Called on a Wednesday for a dishwasher repair, told me earliest was Monday and a tech would be there sometime between 8a-5p, some wait. I schedule the day off after receiving at least 5 emails and 5 texts confirming my appointment. Customer service said the tech would call or text at least an hour away from my house. That morning I started to receive 2 emails and texts stating first, the tech would be there roughly 1:30p and then a follow up for 2p, only to receive a call Monday at 12:15p telling me the tech wouldn't make it at all. Now if I were to cancel there would be a fee, but they offered no compensation and could care less how inconvenienced I was and offered no solutions other than for me to take another day off to "hopefully" have a tech show up. They were supposed to call 30 minutes prior to showing up. They did not. They left a tag on the door. It says to call them to setup service. When you call it makes you go to the website. When you go to the website it makes you get ahold of the company where you have the warranty. The brand new GE washer showed up 2 days ago and it turned on, I put a load in and when it gets to the spin cycle it bangs all over. So dead on arrival. Pretty sad when you cannot get something that works brand new and then they pawn you off on a company that you cannot get ahold of.
