I have known Gary for years he's honest hard working individual striving for perfection in every thing he does. He and Ann have always been personable and accommodating to scheduling prioritized completion times. I have never had any problems with the work they have preformed. As in any Buissness you will have some people that cannot be satisfied or have a vehicle that is beyond simple repairs and not willing to spend what is needed to correct their problems. My experience's has always been satisfying and on time as promised or updated promptly if their is a parts delay. I highly recommend A&G for your Matnence and repairs. Gary and Ann the owners, are the most honest, fairest priced, and all around best auto mechanic shop I have ever experienced. I wish I could give them ten stars! I want to share two real stories about A & G automotive. Before I do, I want you to know that I'm not related to them, I'm not in business with them, I have no financial ties to them. I'm just a 7 year loyal customer who takes my vehicles there because I trust Gary and Ann completely. 1st story: After taking my 3 year old GMC Yukon Denali to the McKinney TX dealership to get a new battery. The dealership told me I needed new battery cables. This was not covered by my extended warranty. Total Cost out of my pocket was going to be approximately $1500 (Battery , cables, labor etc.) That dealership also stated that if I didn't replace the battery cables, I would likely be stranded in the near future. I'm a pilot for my day job, I have a better than average mechanical and electrical knowledge. I found this story too crazy to believe; so off I went to A & G for a second opinion. Gary said my cables were in perfect condition. There was no need to replace my cables. He also said, If the cables would have needed to be replace his price would have been half that of the dealership. THANK YOU GARY AND ANN!!! SAVED ME APPROX. $1500!!! 2nd story: Today, I went to get new brakes on my son's truck. After they examined all four brakes they said my brakes are in excellent condition. There was no need to change them yet. They didn't want to charge me anything. Please note, they had to take all the wheels off, examine the brakes, and the rotors. That's how amazing they are! (Most other places probably would have sold me new brakes and rotors KNOWING I didn't need them). THANK YOU GARRY AND ANN!!! SAVED ME APPROX. $900!!! Both story's have happened in the last 3 months. TOTAL SAVING APPOX. $2,400. THANK YOU GARY AND ANN!!! I could keep going with other stories. I hope you understand these are GREAT folks, that are dependable, honest, and fair priced! They are the very best and honest mechanics I know! P.S. Before writing this review I read all the other reviews. To the military individual who complained about no military discount, please know this: I'm a veteran also. What I save by using A & G is MUCH greater than the 10% discount I would receive from going to other mechanics and getting cheated. Hope this help! read more
