My car arrived on 12/4. He contacted me on 12/5. Again no mention of damage. When I arrived at 5:15 12/5 I saw apparent front and rear damage. When I asked Matthew he showed me photos of the front and bottom of my car dated 12/4 at 3:29. When I asked about the back he said "Oh I don't know how that happened". He then sent a younger kid out to take a photo of the back. I asked for screenshots of the pictures. He texted the photos to me and tried to send the rear damage as well. Also when I received the estimate to approve the charges it was $147. When I received the another estimate it said I approved over $1000. I've never dealt with a body shop before, so this is my first experience, and I have to say...the consistent communication and updates have been phenomenal. For transparency, here's the timeline so far: - April 1: Dropped my car off at the shop - Received a text that my car was in the disassembly stage, and they would let me know if any hidden damage was found - April 9: Received a message that hidden damage was found and that I could reach out for more details - Rich updated me on the damages and let me know he would be sending the supplemental estimate to my insurance So far, my experience has been very good. Called and got a quote first for new brake pads (I think it was $185 but can't remember for sure) and then got a quote for brake pads and rotors, which was $450 including labor. But it turns out I put it off for too long and also needed new calipers. He lifted my car up and showed me how they were leaking brake fluid. And this didn't surprise me because I could feel my car was no longer braking. He finished everything during my work day and only charged $1,000.
