Do not go here you'll catch something you also be stifled by acetone fumes... I don't ever write bad reviews but you guys need to know... Both of the male staff have serious attitudes. It just took me nearly 3 hours to get a Mani Petty, a basic Mani Petty. Many members of my family own and work and nail salons they just don't happen to have one here in New York otherwise I would go to them and get my nails done. With that said these guys are not up to code with so many different things and the people on the floor that are not trained I will not say that some of them are experienced and know what they're doing but you should never put someone who is not prepared to work on floor on a Saturday out there. read more

We love this salon. So relaxing, good service, nice atmosphere. Well ventilated, professional, comfy cushy chairs with screen playing a classic movie while we are able to chill out and get pedis and manis galore at reasonable prices. They are so clean and proper with their skills and tools. We appreciate it so much more after trying out a few places on Flatbush. Oh no! This is really dope nail salon. I go to school and work up the street and whenever I need to get my acrylic nails done I pop in. Usually its quite empty but I have no idea why. Its probably because the outside looks pretty blah; if I had not decided to walk in a year ago I wouldn't have known how nice it is. With all the crappy nail salons in Crown Heights its easy to walk past this one. However, it is the best one in the area. Not only are the prices great but the staff is friendly, its clean, the decor is cute (there is even a flat screen television), and there is an amazing selection of Essie polish. I hope this review brings them business but it is a gem in the neighborhood. read more

This place is not called AK Nails. It's QNails. I had the absolute worst pedicure of my life. Do NOT GO THERE under ANY circumstances. They have no idea what they are doing. I went for a mani pedi and left with no polish after my 'pedi' because I just couldn't take it anymore. The idiot who did the pedi was rushing and didn't spend even amounts of time on each foot. She was so so so awful. Every minute I had to tell her to redo a toe or go back. Then had the nerve to over charge me. I am a very good topper and will be loyal until the end of time if the service is good, but this place? I don't even want to walk by it NO STARS! read more

Never had my nails done by a dude before, but Simon is the bomb. I started getting gels done by him (for $25) and won't see anyone else. Only thing I'd change is that they don't soak your cuticles before cutting. Kinda gives me the heebie geebies. Also, I had a not so great experience with a pedicure here. I was a FOOL and let someone else do my feet while Simon was finishing up another client. I was told for the upgraded price, I'd get a "hydrating mask." My feet were like dinosaur claws so I was down. Except the woman proceeded to put the mask all over my lower legs and not on my feet. At all. Even when I asked her to. So I ended up leaving with soft legs and rough feet. But I bet Simon wouldn't have let that happen. Just sayin. read more

How can I begin, this was my first time ever using this location. I like to stay clean when it comes to my hands and feet, you have to take care of things that take care of you on a day to day basis. Once I went it, there was no wait time or any problems. What got to me was how the lady that was taken care of me dealt with my nails. She was cutting my nails too short, and I don't know what it is but it looks like a sander. She started to use that machine and it just started to hurt, so I told her to stop. My nails are starting to grow back in full and the way it looks is just horrible. They like a little indentation in them now, which they never had before. The salon is very nicely decorated, they have a huge TV right in the middle of the wall and lots of polish colors. Went here on two occasions, once to get an acrylic fill in and another time to take off my acrylic. The fill in went as expected but when I removed the acrylic is when the problems started. I went in the remove the acrylic and the woman proceeded to pry it off with a metrocard and some clippers. I had never seen this done before. It was very painful and she had no mercy even when I cried out in pain. Then she wanted to charge me extra when I asked her to remove all of the glue and acrylic that was still left on my nails. Anywhere else I go, they would soak off the acrylic so that there is no residue left over. Not returning. read more

Stay away from this place. I received the worlds fastest pedicure. No exaggeration the nail tech (and that's a generous title) took all of ten minutes. If I wanted a foot bath I would have just taken a shower at home. When I told him he was going to fast, he looks at me blankly and continues "working". I also got a manicure which was horribly done, and somewhat painful. As I grimaced through the entire process, not once did he stop to ensure that I was comfortable. The polish ended up looking like it was applied by a kindergarten art student with more ripples than the cellulite in my thighs. When I expressed frustration he literally got up and walked away before I could ask to have it redone. Mind you, the owner witnessed the entire debacle and when I verbalized my frustration I was met with "$49 please". This place does NOT deserve your money. I should have turned around when I walked in on a Saturday and there was no line. Apparently others in the neighborhood were already aware of this circus of a "salon". read more

This place treated me really bad. They killed me out of the salon. I asked her if they took card and she said no and told me she couldn't do my nails anymore and i had to pay her for whatever work she had done and had to finish my nails at the salon down the street. I walked out of the salon with no polish on my nails all she did was drill the polish off and then told me to get out because she doesn't take card. The girl that saw me had no idea what she was doing. She cut my nailbed so bad I was bleeding. Then she filed off all my uv gel and ripped my nail, I told them they had to fix it they were trying to charge ME for their mistake. Highly recommend this salon, I'm relatively new to PLG-Crown Heights area and was very happy with the quality of service and care done to my nails. Their prices are competitive and their demeanor is very warm. Careful though, they only accept cash (which seems to be a trend in the nail salons in this neighborhood). read more
