When I called this nail salon the person I spoke with on the phone assured me they would be able to fix my nail, and would try to match the color to the best of their ability since I didn't originally get my nails done there. I walked in 15 min later and was helped right away. Emily was the person who fixed my nail, but there were also 2 other girls who helped to find the right colors. Emily did an excellent job in shaping my nail and matching the length. But what I really appreciated was the extra time they took to make sure my nail matched and looked good. I was in the area and went in for a pedicure. I've been eyeing this place for months but it is a bit far from home for me so when I had to hang out in the neighborhood, I went in for a pedicure (with sneakers on!). Wow! Jessica gave me the best massage and treatment ever. I was going to get the standard pedicure for $30 but Jessica explained that for an additional $13, I would not only get a 10 minute massage but also some extra treatments. Well worth it! The massage was so great, I asked for a 10 minute shoulder/back massage while waiting for my toes to dry (I had to put my sneakers back on, after all.). So my $30 pedicure cost me $56 plus tax, but I hadn't felt so great or received such fantastic massages and treatments in a long time. There is a private room for massages so it was nice to be away from everyone, although someone who lives on Hicks Street was talking very loudly on the phone (she stated her address but for her safety, I'll leave that out of this review!). Jessica asked if it was okay to use oil/lotion and to massage my skin rather than on top of my t-shirt which was nice. I really like that they lined the tub used for my feet. It gave me an extra sense of cleanliness. My only disappointment was that their rewards program is for gel nails only. However the second time, the airbrush design after closer inspection the quality is quite gritty and the stickers have sharp parts sticking up / falling off already the day after. After an extensive yelp review of nail salons in the area, I ended up at D+W because of the positive reviews and pricing ($36 for gel manicure compared to $45 at most other salons in the area). This salon is impeccably clean and the staff are taking extra precautions these days. You get your temperature taken upon entering, receive a huge pump of hand sanitizer, and the pedicure station has a disposable plastic covering in the tub you place your feet in. I feel extremely safe coming to this nail salon during these COVID times. The technicians are very meticulous in their work and you even get a 10 day warranty - if your gel polish chips within 10 days, you can come back for free refills. Finally, you can't beat their deals. They have special happy hour deals Monday-Thursday from 10a-3pm and if you check in on yelp, you get 10% off your total. For gel mani + regular pedi, the total came out to $57 for me. Additionally, a gel manicure comes with a 5 minute massage which was a nice surprise! I called a head which was good because they seemed busy. I got a regular mani, pedi, and my old gels soaked off. Total was $63. It wasn't a bad mani/pedi, nails look nice. But it wasn't exceptional either, 15 second leg massage, most places include 2 minutes, barely a food scrub, and I found their lotion irritated my skin. They have an okay color selection, wouldn't say it's giant though. They also charge $3 extra for Zoya polish, I find most places don't do that.
