Absolutely love our water delivery service (available for customers within 10 miles of their office in Mountain View) and also even getting water in store and at the 24/7 store kiosks outside - bonus one takes bills, the other does accept credit cards - at A&L Pure Water) All our water needs is finally well taken care of with beautifully personally dedicated and labelled bottles for our family's use exclusively with reusable screw on lids and our water delivery has been completed consistently in one day one the day cited as contracted. They have a document you can print out showing all the benefits of Alkaline Water on their web site, so everyone should drink it if they are interested in staying healthy. I can't believe I'm buying water! But after moving to the Bay Area, I just couldn't get over the odd taste in tap water, so we opted to buy gallons of water for drinking. This store is conveniently located in the same plaza as Nob Hill, so we can always come the grocery trip with our water trip. The owners are super sweet nice couple. Great customer service! I've been a member at this establishment now for a little over a year. They have great selections of water from springwater, purified water, and alkaline water. I go there with 35 gallon bottles to fill up for alkaline which has been a blessing for my family and I. The service is amazing! I love having conversations with both of the owners and I love that they know all of their members names. Although it is a bit of a drive from where I am, I make that drive because the place is clean, the pricing is affordable, the water always tastes good and it's just an amazing place to go to. Just around the corner from this establishment are a few eateries if anyone is ever interested. If you are in this area or nearby, consider making yourself a member here. You do not need to be a member to get the quality water that they have, but it does make a difference when you drink as much water as my family and I do. read more

When I got tired of the Glacier Water machines I was accustomed to using being too frequently out of service, I found this wonderful place and never looked back. They have two reserved parking spots right in front of their two self-service water filling stations outside the shop and have free carts to trundle your water bottles to your car. Venture inside the store and you will discover that they offer sturdy water bottles that are designed to be refillable (unlike flimsy grocery store water jugs), a volume discount program, incredibly helpful and friendly staff, and a variety of different *kinds* of water. As a disabled CPAP user, I ask the staff to refill my bottles with reverse osmosis water and they carry it to the car for me. Since my discount program ID is on each bottle they know which account to charge and I don't even have to struggle to go to the cashier window until it's time to renew my discount. This store is amazing - the lady working there helped me by looking at my pictures, then referred me to a competent technician to further investigate the issue. As I started to bring down my empty water jugs onto a cart, someone immediately helped me load it into the store. I turned on my first faucet, and she turned on the second faucet for me - and monitored it too! It was as if I had extra helping hands throughout the whole process. Customer service, check! Congratulations, you have lost a long-time customer. I've been buying my water here for years. I am unclear as to whether this place has had the same owner the entire time. Name seems to have changed, but who knows what they're up to. I don't trust these people at all, and I'm about to tell you why. The current business name does not conjure up a good image. Just google the first two words of the four-word name. If I'm right, I definitely don't want my money going to support such a cause. (I would never have had this additional insight had I not searched on the business to review it.) I've never had occasion to set foot inside this store. I buy my water from the dispensers they have outside, even when they are open. I often come after hours as I live right around the corner. There is one dispenser to the left of the front entrance and another to the right of the front entrance. I never had any trouble until the dispenser to the left of the entrance broke. Apparently, the owner is too cheap to fix it. Consequently, it appears that the other dispenser is unable to handle the increased demand and fails to deliver. It appears that the owner is also too lazy to empty the still-functioning machine of coins before going home at night. It seems that it gets too full of money and cannot register when additional coins have been added. The first time this happened to me, I was forced to come back during the day with my 1-gallon plastic jug to get the water I was due. I found the owner (or a close relative) outside and politely told her that the other night I had put 35 cents in the dispenser to purchase a 30-cent gallon of water. Because the "use exact change" light was NOT on, I figured I could get the 5 extra cents back as change after I got my water. Instead, I got neither the water nor any of my money returned. When I explained what had happened, the extremely rude woman instantly copped an attitude and told me that she had never had any problems with the machine not dispensing water. (Bull-$h!t.) I told her that in all the years I'd been coming there, neither had I. Since our conversation took place outside, she finally begrudgingly filled my jug but continued to act as if I were making all of this up. It seemed like she put money in the machine to prove it was working (and I was lying). Well, of course, it was now daytime, and she'd probably already encountered tons of angry customers who'd forced her to get it back in working order. She also demanded to know how I could possibly have put 35 cents in the machine since water is only 30 cents. Uh duh, I only had a quarter and a dime. Really, lady, if I wanted to rip you off, you think I'd come in asking for a free 30-cent gallon of water plus a nickel?! I'd pay a lot more than that to never have encountered her at all, but it was the principle of the thing. She flatly refused to refund my 5 cents. Like an idiot, I came back here again tonight. I am too cheap to buy bottled water from the store each time my animals are out of filtered water. Plus, I like to be environmentally conscious whenever possible. I am also lazy. I like the convenience of being able to just run down the street. Apparently this will no longer be the case. Once again, I put money in the damned machine and found it to be unresponsive. It sounded full when I put my money in, and I could not get anything back from the coin return. Once again, no water after giving this place my money. Sure enough, the other dispenser is still broken. Uh hello, I'm pretty sure there are plenty of others like me who patronize this store, especially in this economy. I'd guess business is pretty good. Plus, fixing the machine would be a business expense. The price to fix it can't be that high, and if they were waiting for a part to fix it themselves, they'd already have it. And surely, if they're ripping off everybody else the way they are me, they should have more than enough left over to invest in fixing this machine. I let this business go after the first incident (no review), but after having this unacceptable repeat experience, I am not holding back. It doesn't help that I was on an all-day high from having had such great customer service elsewhere today (even when I didn't get what I was looking for). It's really pathetic when a teenager who works at McDonald's (see my review from earlier today) knows more about customer service than a business owner. I haven't been treated this rudely since I spent time in Toronto (see review). Oh, or since I went to King Eggroll and the flea market (where I should at least have expected a lower standard of customer service). read more

I usually use the outside water vending machine at this location since I can't really stand the inside of the store which is dark and dreary...extremely low lighting...and I can't stand having to dodge all the non water related items that are sold in this store that have nothing to do with water or water containers such as gloves, trinkets, and the likes. read more

Been coming to this location since the 80s and seen the owners change a few times. I've always gone inside, the outdoor vending machines are not maintained well and are frankly unappetizing. I wouldn't want to drink what's coming out of there. The reserved parking is a smart move on their part, good tasting water too. I have been coming to Ricky's for 4 years. He is always friendly and helpful. Additionally, my wife doesn't cough when she drinks his water. He obviously doesn't overdo it on the chemicals. His store is always neat and clean. I travel from Menlo Park to go there so my experiences using Ricky's have been extremely good for me to keep going the distance. I've been coming here on and off for about 10 years. I had stopped a few years ago due to really horrible service. But in the past 4 years there is a new owner and she is so nice. She is there most of the days and will help you fill up your containers, load them into your car. It looks very clean to me and the water tastes great. She was even open one Sunday since the outside machine was broken and she didn't want to inconvenience her clients. You can prepay a set amt in advance so that each time you go, she just takes it off of your account. So convenient! I'll continue going as long as the owner stays the same! read more

have been getting my water here for over 15 years. I think there have been 3 different proprietors in that time. The current proprietor, Grace, always helps fill and carry my bottles and it's always nice to chat with her. I've never had an issue with the quality of the water. I agree that the outside dispensers are awkward to use, but don't use them often and they have always worked when I've been there after hours. There is no problem with the lighting in the store, or the water jugs, stands, etc. being in the way. read more
