One very bad experience there, no commitment to honoring the word of the dentist to resolve the issue. Multiple generally substandard experiences there. I am disappointed in myself for staying with this office for as long as I did. They're friendly, but level of dental care and provider competency is questionable at best. read more

I went there on the advice of my husband, who is an established patient. I had a filling fall out and the tooth then began crumbling. Dr. K realized right away that I have a fear of dentists and was so gentle and caring. She did a root canal and placed a temporary crown...the same day I called...and then gave me a prescription in case I need it. It has been about 5 hours since I left the office and I feel great. I will probably shred the prescription. I am amazed that my temporary crown looks so great. I was amazed that there was not any pain involved....the worse part was hearing the drill. Dr. Mandana is the best out there. When I was in a accident she made an emergency visit for me on a Saturday. Since then she has gone above and beyond for me. Her staff is top notch and now she is my new favorite dentist for life. I can't thank her enough for all that she's done for me. Completely and utterly incompetent. Trust me: Avoid A & N Dental at all costs. Not honest with amount of actual work needed (decides approach / # of fillings needed based on how "slow" they are at the moment - in other words "hey if business is slow, let's count these teeth here as having cavities mmkaaay?"), leaves you in pain, makes you wait on the exam chair for over 20 mins, doesn't test for bite adjustment or clean filling residue from your mouth post-fillings. Messes your teeth up, when there was no pain before-hand, requiring you to visit other dentists. Cherry on top: the office people can't comprehend your paperwork and forget to send you requested items. STAY AWAY!!! read more

I was in extreme pain with my molar At 6pm tonight & the dentist & her assistant were very nice & gentle. Pulled my tooth right away! Most dental offices are not open on weekends let alone after 5pm or you can only call their after hours line if you are an existing patient. So grateful they were open & so nice! I recently returned back to this dentist after seeing them for about a year a couple of years ago. i went in to get a few cavities taken care of. Well... when I went and saw the female dentist, she was completely aggressive with my mouth the entire time and made my mouth bleed various times. I have been to the dentist a few times to know for sure that this was abnormal and she was the one causing it. She caused some tears in my mouth when we were done and let the blood sit in my mouth after the procedure was done. When I left, I was still in pain for weeks!!! The fillings that she did were too much and i had a hard time eating for a few weeks. To this day, one of my fillings is still sticking out from my tooth! I also had braces when I was younger and a piece of glue was still stuck on my tooth but she refused to remove it. Anyway... I came back a few years later, last week, Tuesday the 10th, to see if I can get my wisdom teeth removed. I called beforehand and asked if this was something they did and they said yes. I even specified that they would need to be surgically removed and they still insisted i come in even though there was GUARANTEE that they would remove them that day. I was in so much pain and just needed them out but they wanted my money no matter what. So I came in, waited for an hour, and then when the doctor finally told me to come in, he requested we take x-rays. I ALREADY GAVE THEM X RAYS FROM A PREVIOUS DENTIST. So they charged me for x-rays I already gave them that were super recent!! After the x-rays were taken, they basically told me everything I already knew and then told me they could do the surgery. 5 minutes later, the doctor comes back and says he cannot because there was not enough to do it. He had me wait an hour and so that was no my fault. Then when I asked what I should do about the excruciating pain, he said he would be able to remove the two teeth were hurting the most. I agreed and without asking me, he was trying to perform the surgery while I was AWAKE which was NOT what i wanted at ALL. I then told them I would come back another day because I wanted to be asleep or something. He then prescribed me three different medications to take before the surgery which I have been taking. He also claimed to have prescribed me "pain killers" but did NOT. He gave me something for infections! Which I did not have! He had no idea what he was prescribing me!!! I was told to come back in a week after all of these lies and misinformation to actually get the procedure done. As I am getting ready to take the final medications I was supposed to take the day before the surgery, I receive a call from the office telling me that they can't do the surgery because they can't do it if I'm not asleep. They told me they did not have the proper equipment to remove them and that the medication they gave me was not sufficient!!! ARE YOU KIDDING ME? So they had me taking unnecessary medication for a WEEK FOR NOTHING. The doctor himself told me he would perform the surgery under the medication but they call me and say that that is a lie and they could not do it at all. They asked if I wanted to be referred somewhere else but I did not trust them with even doing something as simple as that! I just wanted to get these out as soon as possible and for them to get my hopes up like this and charge me for stuff I did not need is just not right. This place had me pay for things that were unnecessary and kept lying me or giving me information I already knew. I would not recommend this place in a million years. DO NOT go here. Nobody knows what they are doing! Meanwhile, here I am, in constant pain! When my appointment was supposed to be tomorrow, April 18th!!! DO NOT GO HERE. read more

The dental hygienist is great, but that is the only good thing I can say about this office. When I needed more then a cleaning is when the problems started. Dr K is always late by 20-30 minutes. It wan'ts like she got held up with another patient; she wasn't even in the building. Also, I had two appointments that she didn't show up to at all for. Apparently, she had an emergency. I get it, things come up, but she seems to have things come up a lot. When they do, it would have been nice for someone to call and/or ask me if I have time to wait, instead of just have me sit in the chair for 20-30 minutes. However, I didn't get the impression that she cared or even told her staff that she running late. I ended up having multiple appointments with no resolution. at the appointments she was there for, there was one problem after another that are to many to list. My service from this dental office was several years ago, but I feel that I should give Dr Mandonna a review. I think it was 2005 when I broke my tooth on the 4th of July. I searched online for an emergency Dentist who would come in on a holiday. Most wouldn't come in for existing patients, much less a new one. Even though I had never been to this Dentist before, and would be coming in as a new patient, she in fact made a special trip into her office for me. I thought I would need the tooth extracted, but she was able to save the tooth for me. She gave me a core build-up and a crown. I did not have dental insurance a the time, and she even let me make a couple of payments so that I could pay for the expensive procedures. The crown is still in good repair and I have not needed any additional tratment on that tooth. I can't speak for other patients, as my experience very different from the other reviews I have read here. I certainly hope that when I go back, my experience will be equal in quality to my first couple of visits. read more

Last week my 13 year old daughter fell on our tile floor and chipped one of her front teeth. As image is very important to a girl her age, she was devastated and desperate to get it fixed ASAP. I called A & N and they were able to schedule her for 2 days later to get the tooth repaired. We went in and after I filled out the forms the process was really quick. She was in the back getting worked on for no more than 30 minutes (numbing + filling) and came out looking like the tooth was never damaged to begin with. I've gone and seen Dr. K myself in the past and I will always go here before other places nearby as both her service and professionalism are phenomenal and I will continue to refer people in the area to get work done there. Okay, so I call this dentist because I was having excruciating pain in my mouth. She agreed to see me on a Saturday Which was a plus. After filling out all of the paperwork, I was shortly sent to the back, where I was told what was wrong with my teeth. She said I needed a fill but didn't really TELL me what was wrong. Before she put a full in, she started to numb my mouth. MIND YOU, with a sharp long needle she stuck in my gums without any warning and no form of communication. She just ordered me to open my mouth more. After about 5 minutes, she said the filling was done and pretty much told me to have a nice day. UH... My mouth was still in pain, a little worse from when I came in. I had to ask the receptionist to ask the dentist to prescribe me pain killers! No communication from the dentist at all. The receptionist was very kind at least. However, I will not be back here again. Sometimes, I can't always trust reviews. read more

We were in Scottsdale from out of town when my daughter had significant pain in her mouth. We needed to be seen after hours with short notice. We tried a dozen dentist who were not available until we found A&N. They were very nice on the phone and willing to wait for us to drive across town. We were seen on a Tuesday night at 7:30pm. They took an X-Ray and determined the pain was not from the tooth but a gum infection. The dentist, Dr. Mandana Kheshtchi, was very helpful and nice. She prescribed antibiotics and a prescription mouthwash for my daughter. We were grateful for her help - my daughter felt better within hours. We had a very good experience. read more

I wouldn't go anywhere else. They are so flexible, I had never imagined getting a weekend appointment! We talked over the procedures that were recommended, and they took into account what my insurance could cover. Also, they are great with children. We first met Dr.K when she met us at 1am to fix a sore tooth of a visitor from Canada in 2008.....find me a Dentist that does that!! 2 years later after going to 3 different dentists who told me I needed $5000.00 and $6000.00 worth of work, my wife needing $2000.00 to $3000.00 of work and being told a new bridge would cost $3700.00 we thought of A&N. Dr. K did my bridge for $1800.00 and told me I actually needed additional work of about $400.00 and my wife needed about $200.00 worth of work. This is the first time after dealing with 7 different dentists in 4 different cities that I have met AN HONEST DENTIST!! She does the best work and actually cares about her patients. Unlike all the other Prima Donnas that seem to go dental school and think they should drive a Rolls Royce Dr.K is in business to help people with their health care and basic dental needs. Anyone that has a beef with her services should go over to Scottsdale and see what kind of service they get...bottled water...nice carpets and "Ambience"...go pay for all that...good luck to you and your wallet.
