The short story is this company did not do the work hired to do, lied that it was done and billed me for it. When confronted and given a second chance, the company again pretended to do the work and outright lied that it had been done. It's that black and white. I hired George the owner to replace old HVAC ductwork. George quoted me $2600 to replace all ductwork in the crawl space and insulate it with hard pipe. The day the work was scheduled, he didn't show up. I texted and he said "Sorry, we are getting all the materials, we go to emergency job yesterday, we are stopping by today to start work." Note the use of "we." This indicated to me that he was involved in the material purchasing and the work. The next day he sent photos of the "finished" work and an invoice. When I went to check out the work, I saw the pipes had not been replaced. I contacted George. He said he would make sure it was all replaced. The next day he sent photos and a video saying it was all done. I crawled into the crawlspace and NONE of the pipes had been replaced. New insulation was wrapped around only the pipes that were visible from the opening of the crawlspace to make it look at first glance like the job was done, but when I pulled back the shiny new insulation, it was covering the old original pipes from 1925. When I went further back into the crawlspace, nothing had been done. They hadn't even bothered to wrap new insulation. They assumed I wouldn't see it. I called George and confronted him. He blamed it on his "guys" and said they told him they did the job. Either way, as the owner, he's responsible to check the job, especially after being told it wasn't done and being given a second chance. If his guys lied to him the first time, you'd think he'd go check on it the second time to make sure it got done. Even if he wasn't on site (which his texts made it sound like he was), he'd notice from such a big job that no old pipes were disposed of and none of the new materials he supposedly bought had been used. So it appeared to be intentional deception. He did not expect a female to belly crawl into an old nasty crawlspace and check the work, and thus tried to take advantage of that. I refused to pay him and he said that was fine. I can't believe a company would so blatantly said they did the work - twice - when they did not.

As we were informed any reputable company can't come out that day or the next (unless they are one's own contract client) during the busiest months of the year! AM has either no idea what they are doing, or they trying to generate more revenue; either way it's unethical. They basically blamed our usual company for the problem, which they said was a Dx coil that was too small and a system that had been overcharged as in coolant! He he (owner) asked me what a Dx coil is? Really? He was very hostile, denied even being there (like my hubby doesn't know who he called!) All I wanted to do was inform him, instead of complaining, however he apparently would prefer the latter!) Additionally he became irate when I refused to give him our company name! I don't need them being harassed and retaliated against! First, our original company didn't even replace the coil and it wasn't "too small" and it would cost over $5,000 to "fix" reputable companies say repair NOT fix! It was in fact factory recommended coil after my company researched! The only thing that was wrong is the coil was filthy, hence the reason it wasn't running! AM makes everyone else in this trade look horrible! I wanted to see how the owner reacted, I didn't want to make a complaint! However, he was unprofessional, rude, called me a liar, disrespectful, and extremely hostile! Frank should not be in business! They were given ample opportunity to correct their problem, and they chose the opposite! Their next client may not be as pleasant and forgiving! Please look for a more reputable company! They deserve minus 10 stars. And to say it will cost over $5,000 to repair and non-existent problem is outrageous!

I knew I had a toilet that was running and might be causing the issue. I called Superior Mile High Plumbing after reading numerous 5-star reviews. Hector came out the same day and inspected all 3 toilets at my home. He advised that he could fix the issue by replacing the parts inside the running toilet, but that all the toilets are 10 years old and show signs of corrosion in the tanks. I asked him to replace the parts in all 3 toilets, which he did. I was very pleased with his response time, efficiency, and professionalism. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone in need of plumbing assistance.

When my washing machine caused my basement floor drain to back up, I hired Hector to clear the line. When he was done, he said he could not properly replace the wastewater pipe cleanout cap he removed to access the line. A previous repair person had attempted to seal the 3-inch screw-on cap with silicone. Hector said it might leak, but pointed out that even if it did, it was just a few feet from the floor drain. The cap did indeed leak, the very next day.   When I complained via text that sewer water was leaking, he immediately called. He said it was the fault of the previous repair person who used the wrong cap. This was a fact he failed to mention before. When I asked, he said he would email a photo of the correct cap, which he did. He said would only fix the leak for a fee.   Now, after flushing the toilet, I must pour a solution of water and disinfectant to chase the sewer water away. I have a different company coming to properly install the new cap. I have taped the cap on temporarily as you see in the photo. It still leaks. So, to recap: My wastewater pipe cap was not leaking. Hector removed the cap to perform work. He was unable to replace the cap properly. Raw waste (sewer) water is now leaking in my basement. He says it's not his fault.   Hector may be prompt and pleasant, but don't expect him to go the extra mile--not even for a sanitary issue like this one.
