We got new doors and windows from Irwindale Windows installed over a year ago. During the sales pitch we were sold a high quality product that would be carefully installed. Everything changed once the installation started. It became clear from the start that our $15,000 was a small job and a low priority to them. The owner Jackie told us the installation would only take three days, but when I talked to the men working they clearly did not think that was realistic. We soon overheard that they had a very big job starting immediately after ours, and the owner Jackie was rushing the workers to start this job on time. The workers were there all day, barely taking any breaks and clearly rushing around. The final day they were there until around 9pm at night, working outside in the dark to meet the deadline. We got 5 windows and 3 sliding doors installed. Everything was fine until the first time that it rained. Turns out, in their haste to rush through our job, the installers did absolutely nothing to seal the bottom of our sliding doors. As you can see in the pictures, it was literally wide open. No sill pan, no sealant, nothing. Because they had the doors propped up on shims, they could not seal the doors directly to the ground. But because they also did not use a sill pan, the bottom was wide open. So when it rained, the rain outside was literally just pouring into our subfloor. About 10 days after the rain we lifted up a rug and noticed that the floor was wet. We couldn't notice at first because it was beneath the wood, but eventually this water permeated the subfloor in most of our house, and started soaking up into a number of the walls. Because of mold growth, we eventually had to tear up ALL of our beautiful wood floors (honestly one of the main selling points when we bought the condo) and also cut out and replace many lower sections of our walls. Everything had to be treated for mold, sealed up in plastic, then have air purifiers and fans run. Then the actual construction to replace all of the flooring and walls. We were out of our condo for MONTHS. And over a year later Irwindale still refuses to take responsibility for what they did. We were forced to pay entirely out of pocket for the costs of remediation and file a lawsuit - a lawsuit where they are still refusing to take accountability and trying to avoid the massive damages they caused to our home. If you have a massive job with dozens of windows, maybe Irwindale will take their time and properly install them. But if you are just a regular customer who *only" buys $15,000 worth of windows, they couldn't care less about destroying your home or doing a quality installation.

Then they disappear for days or even weeks, offering excuse after excuse. They drag out the project while constantly asking for payment. When only about 70% of the work was done, they told me the job was "complete," even though basic things like door frames weren't installed. They just wanted their money so they could move on to the next project. They also don't keep their promises. They left trash, leftover food, and construction mess everywhere. They promised to haul away debris on the second day and then vanished completely. The owner, Jose, has a terrible attitude. Bottom line: they want your money without putting in the work. Reply to your comment Jose: There may be two sides to every story, but when many customers raise the same concerns, it's worth taking a closer look internally. Repeatedly responding to negative reviews by blaming or insulting customers instead of acknowledging issues only reinforces those concerns. This review reflects my actual experience. The weather strip is also not fitting correctly and we were having a hard time closing the door as it was too thick that we have to hold on to the door and lock it at the same time. Look at the photos for reference. We called them to fix it and sure he isn't happy but he came back and stripped off the weather strip which leaves us with spaces around the door. It's really terrible work. I also regret switching from our old door to this because of this problem. They leave their work area so dirty that I have to clean after them. Also, no proper receipt was given at first. I had to tell him we were looking at changing our windows (a service he also provides) and that's when he sent me a proper receipt. We found someone else for the windows who are absolutely professionals, clean and give proper invoices and receipts. I really hate putting bad reviews for small businesses but I am left with pretty much a crappy job. I wouldn't recommend this company.

Vista was not the cheapest and not the most expensive, but they were very competitively priced. Phil won me over first with his friendly and knowledgeable patter during the initial walkthrough, then with his polite but persistent follow through, walking me through a similar job they were completing. Windows were installed in a single day and the doors on a second day. Same team for both installations. Very competent and polite crew. I would not hesitate to recommend Vista to family and friends and will use them again if the need arises.

We were told that the wait is due to the process of the door being made. We explained before they started that we wanted to keep the baseboard of the front door but it wasn't kept. However, the company did reimburse us for $200 for the price of the board & installation. Once we had it installed we thought we were ready to go! However, quickly we noticed within a few days that the door was not closing properly. The handle would not reset when it closed and then within a few weeks it was not working at all. I immediately contacted them on March 7th. I explained the situation and was told to take pictures as requested by Chanel (warranty correspondent). I was told that they had to order new parts from Emtec and it would take a couple of weeks. We had agreed to set it up on Monday April 6th. The service man who arrived came over and immediately noticed that the parts needed to be ordered and the correct part were not ordered. However, I was told that the door should be working. Wow, that was far from the truth because immediately the door stopped working the next day. So we're back to square 1. Our door doesn't close because the handle on the door doesn't work. In the meantime, the only thing that worked and kept the front door closed was the security latch. If not the door would be wide open. I spoke to Chanel again, she said we had to order the part again. Apparently it was not ordered last week. In the meantime, we're paying for our door about $500 each month since February and yet our front door doesn't work. If you decide to work with this company please take the amount of time and the cost into consideration.

Update: The business responded claiming this was a "small repair" that was only offered as an add-on, contingent on booking the interior door install. For the record, the itemized quote priced the entry door repair on its own at $813.39 (new astragal + planing the door to open/close properly) -- a real, standalone job, not a minor add-on. They also offered me me make cuts for me if I am able to bring in my current front door. The door was available to pick up in a day. Technicians were able to install door locks, knobs, and handle on the day of pick up. The whole process took me an hour, which was very easy. Parking is available.
