I have been wanting to change my front door, but I did not where or when to start. I was able to come by and check out the doors. Staff was very friendly and approachable. They offered me with help. I told them about my project and they gave me helpful recommendations. I then requested to purchase a fiberglass front door. Price was very reasonable. They also offered me me make cuts for me if I am able to bring in my current front door. The door was available to pick up in a day. Technicians were able to install door locks, knobs, and handle on the day of pick up. The whole process took me an hour, which was very easy. Parking is available. So I pass this run down shop one day and make a mental note to check it out in the future. I'm in the midst of remodeling my kitchen, laundry and bathroom and looking for baseboard to replace the ugly tile baseboard from the previous owner. So I cruise into El Monte and park. Rusly's Plywood is a misnomer and probably lose out on business from Yelp and the Yellow pages. I didn't see any plywood but rather racks and shelves of various mouldings. This place is not much on looks from the outside but once you pass the sheet metal walls and enter Rusty's Plywood Ralph E. Clark Moulding, you'll find a smorgasbord of mouldings, door casings, baseboard etc. They've got samples of the mouldings in a framed board and you can walk around and check what they have in stock. What they don't have, you can order and usually get within a day or two. I went here for base board moulding, I was looking for pretty basic 5 1/2 inch stuff..nothing fancy. Home Depot was selling it for $1.25. At Rusty's..$0.60 per foot. Woohoo!!!.yes as good as it gets. I can cut the 16 footers to 8 feet and even have 2 pcs cut to 10 and 9 feet respectively so I can transport and can use 1 pc per wall. So if you're looking for crown moulding, door casings, baseboard etc., do your homework, select what you want, and take your best price to Rusty's and compare. Highly recommend. read more

We came to one other place before coming here. This other place didn't have the casing that we wanted and said they'd have to order it. They priced me at $7.44 for 17ft. So we left and came here. This place has the best customer service I have experienced in awhile. Employees are friendly and super helpful. I don't have a construction background so employees answered my questions patiently. I mostly interacted with Pam. She knows her stuff. She is quick, efficient, responsive and patient. I went into Clark's to pick out the casing I wanted but later chose another one through their website. I was in a pinch to get the material the next day so I emailed Pam and told her how much we needed. She was able to help me calculate it based on door sizes and then we were able to handle everything by phone down to the payment. Then it was ready for pickup within a few hours. It worked out perfectly. The price is also reasonable. Later I went back to pick out baseboards and moulding. Another employee helped and was able to find me the moulding based off of a picture from my phone. Then when the baseboard I wanted wasn't available, he suggested another similar style that was in stock. He worked with the office staff to communicate what I needed and made sure everything was taken care of before he left my side. Again was impressed with the service. I have subsequently returned another time to order something else and reached out to Pam. She walked me through the measurements she needed and had me send her a picture just to confirm we were ordering the correct size. I would recommend this place without hesitation! Forgot to mention that I found out about this place from my uncle who is a retired contractor but he had always gone to Clark's before and continues to recommend Clark's to family and friends. read more

They have a huge variety of mouldings, but with covid, supply could take a few days. Especially for special items like rubber mouldings.

The door service itself was good and the price/delivery time is comparable to the businesses in that area. The 1 star is for the poor staining service that is taking more than 2 weeks and counting. It was originally promised to us 3-5 days, at most. We paid for the service beforehand through Clark's and did not get to meet or talk to their staining associates. It's so bad, we still don't know when we'll get our doors back! Be weary, do NOT use their staining services/associates. I I might update this review if we actually receive those doors back as they promised this 3rd time! Update since my last review- another 5 days after the last commitment to finish the stain job and still NOTHING! This is a joke!!! read more

I never write reviews but I have too for this wonderful company! Tina, Lisa, and Q, My front entry door was kicked down and I have been searching for a door that my husband and I could afford. We live on Social Security Disability so I have been looking non stop for 3 days for a door that would protect us. Every where I went we were told 2 weeks and given an estimate for a fiberglass door. Today, I go to Rusty's​ with my husband who has stage 4 cancer and has had his Tongue Removed so it's hard for people to understand him when he talks, when my husband started talking, Tina and Lisa immediately started working on finding us a door in our budget. WOW!!! Great Customer Service!! They understood and were listening to him!!!!! Sometimes my husband is treated badly for the way he talks and sounds. I have been coming to Clarks molding for over 15 years. The prices are very reasonable for quality products. Rusty has since passed away and his daughter has been running the place. She has been doing some upgrading and getting it more organized. You can easily save over 40% and if they don't have the item they will get it next day. My parents recently went to this place and were robbed. The price they were charged was not the price on the door. I called and spoke to Tina to get better clarification because they don't speak English and to also let her know that they were uncomfortable with her service and felt racism towards them. She lost her cool and started yelling that there is no way because she's lesbian and has a Hispanics partner. Good for her But that's neither here or there, I said that's fine but I'm letting you know this is what they felt so they had me call because they felt uncomfortable. She lost her cool, not in one moment did I yell or go off, I was simply informing her how they felt about her service and they felt ripped off. My parents spoke to a guy Brian who was very kind and helpful, he told them that if there was no package it was a used door. The price tag was $350 but they were charged for $1k. Still, at the end of mine and Tina conversation I told her fine just wanted to let you know that customers were not happy with her service and to have a nice day, she just hung up. I do not recommend this place to buy materials needed for their jobs, the price they charged me the day of the purchase was not a fair price, for a 5 foot fireplace mantel they charged me $ 203.50 and I could find a better place to buy it in Cherokee Wood Products cost only $ 145.00 I tried to make a refund and they were not polite, in the end they gave me back what they wanted $ 122.10. We were in search of baseboard molding for our house, and heard about this company. They business is small but they have a great assortment of all types of molding. They also sell doors, all at a good cost. We bought 9 pieces of 16ft baseboard for just under 100$. The baseboard i bought is mdf, which is fine by me but some of you may prefer wood. You might have to call to see if they offer that, which im sure they do. Anyhow service was very good, and due to the style i bought i had to wait two days. This is our go to place for baseboards. We came here for baseboards for our first home and expected to pay an arm and leg especially after seeing prices at The big box stores. But a friend told us of this place so we decided to check it out. We were shocked at the price, just incredibly lower than we expected.
