I'm scoring one star because the ceramic wax was ok. Both mirrors were literally ripped off my Hummer truck and when I got the attendant attention to get information to file a claim, he said they are not responsible and walks me over to a sign that is on the side of the building No shaded area is provided while you vacuum the vehicle, and you better not forget to bring your own towels for drying your car, NONE are provided. For a $20 wash plus tax, at minimum should have towels. read more

After a long road trip, the front bumper and the windshield of my car were covered with bugs. But the attendant took the time to scrub all the bugs off with his soapy brush before he sent me through the wash : ) This is an easy in, easy out car wash with plenty of (free!) vacuums. It is not a touch less wash, it uses brushes, but I've never had a problem. I've been bringing my cars here for about 5 years. I sometimes have to wait in line on weekends, but it goes pretty quickly, and I can always get a vacuum. This place isn't fancy, but it gets the job done. Cheapest wash is $4. read more

They should call this the 3-minute car wash rather than the $3 car wash. Because 3 minutes is about the most it takes to slide my credit card in the machine, grab the receipt, and drive through. This is so convenient and I'm always happy with the wash I get. On a side note about bent license plates. They are made of thin metal and bend easily. When you go to any car wash that has whirling brushes pushing against your car to remove dirt and salt, it's going to hook on things. And if that thing is a flimsy license plate, it's going to bend it. I learned this years ago and opted for a strong metal license plate holder from Pep Boys because I wasn't going to stop going to these kinds of convenient, quicky car washes. 4/2/19 Terrible experience by new manager call John, who approached me when I was vacuuming my car, told me that I may be just vacuuming the car and leaving with out washing and paying, was very Rude, zero customer service, told me he is a former police officer in Texas; and if I don't like it I can go to an other car wash. Warning!! Protect your cars!! This car wash is run by scammers!! Do not go here, plenty of other places in the area that actually care about their customers and do the right thing for them! I came here on Saturday (11/20/21) and unfortunately during my visit I heard my trunk light break off (pictured) during the blower section of the wash. I confronted the manager who was extremely rude and basically told me I was lying and if there was an issue that it was my fault. I am not sure how my light breaking off in THEIR car wash could be my fault, other than it being my fault that I actually gave this horrible place a try. After my encounter with the manager I knew this place was up to no good and would be trying to take advantage of me. I returned the next day and one of the employees let me see the video of my car and low and behold I could see my light breaking off right on the screen, which the employee acknowledged happening (I was scared that they would hide the video from me and claim the incident never happened). I provided my information and was told the GM would be giving me a call. The next day I received a call from the GM who told me he reviewed the video and after speaking to his lawyers, they advised him that they are protected from liability for this incident because there is a sign that mentions a warning prior to entering the car wash. Now I ask you, would good people who acknowledge watching a part of your car break off in THEIR car wash, hide behind their lawyers and claim that a measly sign protects them against the issue??? No, a good person would eat the $150 expense and do good for their customer. After working for the premier car wash in Palatine for over 5 years, I can tell you from first hand experience that this is not how you treat customers. The right thing to do (which we did at the car wash I used to work for) would be to eat the minimal cost since the incident took place in our car wash. Instead this place chose to blame me for the incident even after acknowledging watching the video of their car wash wrecking my car and then hiding behind their lawyers for protection. Absolutely pitiful. Do not under any circumstances take your car here, it's not worth it! Your car may get destroyed and the management team is extremely rude. Save your money and take your business to a place they actually care about their customers!! After reading plenty of horrible review on the is place after the fact, this incident is no surprise. One of the best car washes i have been to in my area. Ive tried plenty of them as well. Just think of Fuller's car wash but better system. They have the $3 service for a quick wash, the $6 option for a wash and a bit of amenities. The $10 option which is the deluxe option that comes with the sealant and tire shine. Or if you are feeling yourself a bit spontaneous go for the $12 that comes with everything plus wax. The vacuum station is huge, so many and the power is precise. I am so happy that they don't turn down the pressure on those bad boys, because it vacuums my car with no problems. The staff seems very nice and helpful if you are having problems with the automated machine. Sometimes the screen is hard to touch, but the guys come right out to assist you. P.S yelpers, if you are in the area be sure to come get your ride cleaned here. read more

Tried this was a couple of times. Seemed ok, nothing special. It was when I was vacuuming after one wash I was told by an employee I was taking too long. The car was dirty (not incredibly) and needed a good vacuuming. I am disabled and move slow. And yes, it is apparent I am disabled. And the lot was pretty empty. Stopped and left - went home to finish myself. Was really disappointed in the fact that they would give a disabled person grief. Really made me feel lousy, being disabled is enough, having someone tell you that you are going too slow hurts. Paid for two washes for another car too. Didn't even bother to take the other car there. Could have made a real big deal about it since I am disabled. Simply want nothing to do with this place anymore. Not going back ever. read more

Great car wash. Offer starting price of $3 then you can do addons. They also have monthly packages that are reasonably priced. ***My ONLY GRIPE about this place, and that's coming from a monthly customer is the older European looking gentlemen. He seems to run the place along side a Hispanic guy. The European looking guy is very rude. I've come in and asked about my monthly pass and he was not helpful at all in renewing my pass. Then when coming to the car to place the sticker he was questioning my old stickers (windshield and door) like I did something wrong. Not sure why, as they are the ones who place the sticker. ***The other time, the wash is full. And I've NEVER been here when the line is that long. We had troubles with the gate and he came up to my car and started to bang on my back window! I didn't see him walking out until he banged on my window, then he yelled "you're being impatient, you're supposed to wait for the gate to open. You can break the gate all you want, it won't do anything". What a rude and grumpy guy! Whoever that older European guy is, he's ruining your business and has no customer service skills! Teach him some manners and how to be polite to their frequent customers. All other staff are very friendly and helpful. I hope I don't run into this man anymore. And if I need a manager, I hope it's the Hispanic guy that always wears a hat. He's very helpful along with the rest of the crew. read more

They should change their name from $3 car wash to something else as the name doesn't justifies the service that you get. The cheapest $3 car wash which is mentioned on their display at the bottom is simply a waste of time and money. They do mention it as light wash but what's the point of offering it if it doesn't even washes your car. My car didn't even had too much dirt and it's ridiculous that it came out almost the way it went in. Attached are some images after the wash which might tell you the story. wash is ok but the dry cycle does not remove the water from your car anymore! for years it was a good wash & dry but the last 3 times, i had to dry off the entire car manually myself with a beach towel which took 5 minutes. i spoke to the manager 6/11/22 and he said "that's all we can offer". this is the best we can do. maybe you could go elsewhere. guess what? i will!!!!! read more

Paid $12 for a car wash for the first time expecting my car to look nice and clean. First of all, the worker was EXTREMELY rude. I forgot to get his name but I'm pretty sure he was the manager. He made a racist remark to my mom when she asked "It says the tires get scrubbed and the tires on our car haven't been touched." She had a valid question but he tried shutting her up by saying "This is America, you get what you pay for."-SO rude and belittling. Second, the car wash sucked. I took a rag and swiped the back of car and it was dirty. I mean for $12... come on. Third, the vacuum had barely any suction. I'd rather go to a gas station and pay for one that's this useless. I do NOT recommend this car wash to anyone, especially if you have a new car because it will get torn apart. I had almost the exact same experience as Adrianna below. I pulled in to use the vacuums, which were OK but I noticed that I needed to buy a car wash after to use the vacuums. I figured I needed a wash anyway, so I bought the $6 wash. I live right down the street so I checked the wash job when I got home. My car looked almost exactly the same as it went in. I also noticed my license plate was bent exactly the same as the picture below and half of my plastic license plate cover was ripped off. I also have a rubber lining on the roof of the exterior of my car and the ENTIRE piece was ripped out. I have never had this experience at another car was and I STRONGLY recommend going anywhere else but here. read more

If I could rate this place with less than 1 star, I would. First off, the vacuums are absolutely terrible. The vacuums couldn't even pick up small pebbles or salt that had spilled on my seat. This was my first time here, so I figured I'd try it out. A worker approached me and rudely asked if I realized the vacuums were for customers only. I let him know I was getting a wash AFTER vacuuming. He sounded extremely improfessional. He could have simply asked if I had been there before and let me know that the vacuums do come free but only with a car wash. I paid for the most "expensive" wash, and after finishing up, stepped outside my car to look at the wash job. It looked similar as to rain water rinsing off a vehicle. The same worker was standing outside (watching to make sure I purchased a wash) and I paid him to wipe the rubber off my rims. He bent down and used his FINGERS to wipe off a few spots, shrugged and walked off with my money. To top off this horrendous experience, my license plate is completely BENT in half. If you are looking for a cheap car wash and less than crappy vacuums, then this place comes highly recommended. I will continue to take my business to Lake Cook car wash, and if you care about your car, I highly suggest everyone do the same. read more

This car wash was recently renovated and converted into an automatic one. Looks clean and nice but that's all. I opted for $6 car wash and the car came out with almost the way it went in. Had too many spots and the rims were as if untouched. The vacuum was barely able to clean anything. Told the owner about it and he didn't really responded well. He was unaffected by the feedback. I am sure there are other locations which would appreciate if you give them an opportunity but not this one. read more

If I could give this review negative stars I would definitely do so. Just to state for the record that there are signs posted that the vacuums are available to paying customers. I regularly bring my car in once a week or so and have always vacuumed my car first before running through the car wash. I pulled in today and was just about to get out of my car when a worker approached my vehicle and motioned for me to roll down my wIndow. I roll down my window and this person proceeded to tell me that the vacuums were only for paying customers. I told him yes I understand that. I'm getting ready to vacuum my car before I go through the car wash. He proceeded to tell me very rudely that I was not allowed to vacuum out my car unless I went through the car wash first. I told him that there were no signage stating this fact that I wasn't sure what he meant. He proceeds to tell me that people ha e been stealing the use of vacuums and not going thru the car wash. I assured him that I am most certainly was not one of those people and that I always vacuum my car before I go through the car wash that way I can leave right away. He proceeds to tell me that I am not allowed to get out of my car and use the vacuum before I go through. I asked him where is the posted signage stating these new rules? In the meantime another vehicle pulls in next to me from the street and the driver proceeds to vacuum his car. He has clearly not gone through the car wash first. I told him that this is ridiculous and that unless he has seen me stealing the vacuum time then he has no business harassing me like he is doing. He tells me no car wash first. No vacuum. I asked him how he would feel if he was being harassed? Of course he had no reply. I tell him that I'll take my business elsewhere and I start to back out to leave. I reconsider and back up to speak to him again. When I do so I see the car the head vacuumed out right next to me finish vacuuming and then proceed to go get the car wash. I questioned this gentleman about this and he tells me he did not see him. Clearly he saw him because he was right next to me and he looked when the gentleman pulled in. I cannot help but feel that I was discriminated against either as a woman or because of the color of my skin. I will not be using this car wash service again and I really hope that you do not either. Alright I work in the automotive paint industry and these people complaining about the car wash are not thinking before the post. It's an automatic car wash and we all know the possible dangers of using them and getting damage to your car unless it's touchless. Bent license plate? You didn't have a license plate cover...so, that's your fault. Ripped out rubber lining? Obviously it was loose or poorly mounted to begin with from exposure to the sun or other possible factors. The car wash just finally put the dagger in it. As far as the car coming out the same way it went in, well, that's because you are not going to get a showroom finish from an automatic car wash. The purpose of these things is to get rid of dirt, salt, and maybe some bird poop. But yes, the quality of the wash will be sub par. That's what you should expect. If you want it to be beautiful, you HAVE TO take it to a detail place or get out your wash bucket and actually wash the car properly for a good hour or so, not a quick $3 1 minute car wash. GET REAL PEOPLE. Lol read more

Listen folks, this is a $3 car wash and as such I think it does an excellent job. I even bought the unlimited package which allows me to go through as often as I need to. The vacuums are powerful and pick up just fine. My routine is to go through the wash, then pull up to the vacs, dry off any remaining spots from around the windows and mirrors, wipe off the tires and spray with tire shine (my own). Then I vacuum, dry off the door sills and trunk ledge and by then the tire spray has dried sufficiently to take off. Sure you have to do a little detailing yourself, but for the price it's not a problem. Highly recommend this place. read more

I am not sure where the negative reviews are coming from. Did we go to the same carwash? Anyways, even the cheap wash is very thorough. Never had a problems with the vacuum, in fact they are even a little too strong. My only suggestions for improvement would be (a) open earlier so I can stop on my way to work and (b) turn on the dryer heat when it's below freezing. Otherwise nice work! read more

Tried this car wash for the first time yesterday and was very disappointed. Paid $10 which is supposed to be their Best value car wash that included a lot of things. The washing brushes (not sure of it's proper term) seem to be made from plastic or vinyl material resulting from not a very good wash compared to the material that is used at Fuller's car wash in Des Plaines. After the wash, I wiped down my truck and noticed that it left behind a white streak after wipe down which I know wasn't from microfiber cloth I used. The wash I received seem like it should've reflected the basic $3 car wash compared to the $10. The blow dryers were below average as it didn't even seem to dry much of the wash from the car. Comparing it to the other car wash, I can't justify going to this wash again. It was down the street from a drs appointment I had so I figured why not try it. Lesson learned: to avoid this car wash and stick to Fuller's instead. read more
