Do NOT go here. I went thru the wash once but no water to rinse off soap so I went thru a second time to the same result. I went in for a refund but they refused to refund my money and said all they could do is give me a voucher. At this point 2 employees starting yelling at me that they were fixing it and I'd have to wait. I did not have the time to waste any more so I finally got a refund and left. The 2 employees that was very disrespectful should NOT be employed there, or anywhere where customer service is involved. Avoid this place at all costs. read more

Convenient, fast, and easy. I have a monthly subscription and bring my car in about once a week. It's great that they have 2 computer kiosks since with the fastpass your can quickly scan in. In terms of quality, car is always clean when I come out. Love that my wheels are nice and shiny too. The vacuums are nice and I do like that they enforce only customers to be able to park and use the area to keep it accessible. It would get annoying to have to wait for cars freeloading. read more

This place is under new ownership and is now called Rainbow Car Wash. The price has risen from $3 a few years ago to $8, by far the highest in the area. The vacuums do not work. I will not patronize this place again. read more

The new owners have really sent this place down the tubes. They raised the price of the top wash from $15 to $25, and got rid of the 5-day rewash code. I am also convinced they turned off the undercarriage sprayers, because it didn't turn on for me despite getting the gold level wash. And (very) strangely, they have employees standing at the self-serve kiosks to push the touchscreens for you...that is really freaking weird, dude. I've managed to use the self-pay kiosks all these years, I don't need some teenager to do it for me. The one thing I will say is that the new menus on them are garbage because they don't tell you what's included in each wash tier anymore. KC car wash is an exceptional car was. Now don't let the 3$ fool you thou. I've never chosen this cheap of a wash so I cannot comment on how well it works. I typically purchase the 13-15$ wash and my car comes out practically perfect every time. Their staff is friendly and the area to park and vacuum your car is well kept and in good working order. I prob take my car here 1 -2x a week on average. read more

I joined their car wash club and absolutely enjoy it! I can clean my car up to two times a day if I want too. I've not done that but once after washing my car and discovering tar on it. I used tar remover and needed an additional wash, which was no problem at all. They are friendly all the time as well as helpful. Stop in join the club which you can cancel at anytime if you wish. However having a clean car all the time for such a low price, well it's priceless!! read more

My car was damaged by their equipment in February. I've been trying to get some satisfaction since then but to no avail. There are cameras in the carwash that record everything. They said there was a bubble in the paint before I went in. That is a lie. I take good care of my car and know every inch of the exterior. As I was going through the wash I heard loud noises that sounded like someone beating on my car with an old antenna. When I got home I saw the damage and reported it the next day. Well id give them negative scores if I could but to be accused of trying to get another car wash after paying for one and not receiving a wash that cleaned anything was just poor service. Then being rude and sexist to my wife was very bad business practice especially in these trying times. There are several different car wash options. The $3 dollar one that is advertised is very low end - but if you just want a quick wash off - it is a cheap way to have it done automatically. The $6 one does a much better job and seems to make the car shine more. During the winter, I go for the $10 wash because you can get the underside of the car and get rid of the salt. There's a higher end one with wax that shines and lasts. There's an option to clean the tires/rims as well. Once finished, there are free vacuums - and about a dozen or more - so there's always one open. Even if the lines seem long (and on sunny days, the lines are long) - it moves quickly. And... long lines tell you that the place is good. read more

DON'T WASTE YOUR HARD EARNED CASH! Two weeks in a row had problems with the tire shine applying all over my rim, and only half of my tires, so I went back to tell management there was a problem. All the doors were locked during open hours, so I called the number on the receipt. The owner only wanted to argue with me and tell me it was impossible for the tire shine to get all over my rims, because the brush is small, and doesn't go that high. He could see the oil all over the rims, but tried to tell me it was left over debris from my rims. MY RIMS WERE CLEANER GOING IN! Instead of checking to see if there was a problem with his equipment, he only wanted me to go through the wash again...WHY? I have had this same result 2 weeks in a row, why would I go through it again. Instead of looking into the problem, he has lost a good customer, one who always buys the high dollar packages. I let him know I would NEVER BE BACK, and left. He doesn't care and won't care about anyone else either. YOU'VE BEEN WARNED...DON'T WASTE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY HERE...he will do nothing to earn your trust, or your business. $3 for a carwash is my kind of price! I opted for the cheapo option, as from reading the other Yelp reviewers, it seems the higher-priced options don't get the job done as expected. I like that this place has free vacuums too. I have been desparately needing to vacuum the inside of my car; its been YEARS and with two little kids in the back, the inside of my car had enough sand, sticks, pebbles, and twigs to fill-up Lake Michigan. Garbage cans are right next to the vacuums, which make throwing out said debris easy for me. I'm glad I didn't have any issues here, but from reading my fellow Yelpers' reviews, seems like their customer service can be a lot better. It makes me hesitant to give this place 5-stars, but that's what "Update my Review" is for, if I have any subsequent subpar experiences. Until next time... because I will be back! read more

This place is great. The best part is the free vacuums, and they are powerful! Easily cleaned a lot of dog hair from my seats better than my Shop-Vac. Very good car wash options also. The only reason I didn't give it five stars was because they don't hand dry your car. However, despite that, this place will be my new go to for a good inexpensive car wash! read more

Cheap, fast and hassle-free wash. Although I did not notice any difference with upgrade purchased, the 3$ wash does its job. Lane goes fast, every other car gets in every 30sec. Once I got here becore they open, 6:40am and the worker let me in. Of course, automatic wash does not clean the car completely, but sometimes there are employees at the exit to fix whatever machine misses, KCs doesn't have that... Other than that, decent service, will keep using this place! read more

This is the worst , rudest car wash experience I have ever had. They would not tell me who the owner was. The car did not come clean and a receipt is in hand. To get it properly cleaned the man was told it needed to be driven through again. He accused that fixing the problem was stealing a car wash. Would never recommend this business to anyone. Rude, low class behavior by the employees. I wouldn't even give them one star. ZERO. Extremely rude in times of the corona virus. Acts of kindness in these trying times go a long way. If I had listened to him I would've hit the guy in front of me (or got closer than I like) he seemed to not like that i stopped and he rudely started yelling go and then neutral! when he saw i wasn't moving, I looked at him like he was crazy for raising his voice and he stopped talking altogether. He also didn't put a plastic cover on my rear washer blade. The actual car wash got my car clean but both me and my wife felt it was kinda ruff. No thanks on the return visit. Perfect wash with brushes and it's great that I do not need to vacate the car (way too complicated with napping kiddos). Also like that they give you a second wash within 5 days. It's packed here right now! For good reason. I have been to a lot of washes. Those touch less ones are a joke. The brushes are a must. Just got a new car, so I've been wanting to keep that waxy-shiny look on it. KC's is the closest car wash to me, so I figured I'd give them a try. Solid experience all in all. I notice, having been there a few times, that the $3 wash is noticeably inferior to the $6 wash. The $6 formula just sticks better or something, because my car looks cleaner from the go and stays cleaner longer. So when they say "$3 car wash" on the sign, take that with a grain of salt. Other tips? Stay away on Sunday - the line is out of control! It moves quick, but it just doesn't feel safe to have your trunk poking out onto Palatine road or whatever. read more

I started using KC's many years ago after a few terrible experiences at another wash in Palatine. I had a 2011 Santa Fe for 7 years and KC's washes did very nice jobs cleaning. Great price too and never had any vehicle damage either. I just bought a new 2019 Santa Fe and am going to take it to KC's for its first wash. My concern is that it is a new car and new paint so I researched the cleaning brushes that are used and they never damaged anything on my previous Santa Fe so I am hoping all will go well with the new paint. I definitely will be doing the under spray as well as the tire clean following all the bad snow and salt. I have been a very happy customer in the past so I thought I need to give it 5 Stars. GO INTO THIS CAR WASH AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!! Our friend unfortunately took my van to KC car wash. When our car went through a was it jumped off the track. As an attempt was made to drive the car back on the track, she ended up driving over some equipment which was then supposedly damaged. A few days latter the police end up at my door asking to fill out a report as the owner expected my insurance to cover the damages. I went to see the owner as he had video to that allegedly proved that the damage was our fault. I viewed the tape and the driver couldn't be seen so the tape proved nothing. My friend said that the car jumped off the track. I have seen other reviews regarding this car wash as their car jumped off the track too. The owner blamed my friend, tire pressure or maybe the alignment just as he has with people in other posts. ALWAYS THE CUSTOMERS FAULT! When I told him that the video was inconclusive and I wasn't responsible, he immediately threatened that he was filing a civil suit against me. read more

A+ in product. Unlimited use of car vacuums at no extra charge, with a full power wash and dry for only $3. Incredible! The owner even came to my car as I vacuumed to ask for my name, introduce himself, see how the wash went and offer assistance.
