We went late for dinner and Yogi Noodles was open. We ordered deep fried shrimp spicy salted and, sweet and sour pork with pineapple. It was a dinner combo for $14.50 all together. Plus it came with another medium sized rice on the side. Super affordable and filling. Love this place. I understand it's not the healthiest place to eat.. but oh well. Hella taste good for the price you pay. I really enjoyed my shrimp. However, I think lemon grass does a better job. The sweet and sour pork was good too. BUT, I feel like we were dominantly eating batter in sauce rather than the actual meat.Overall, I was satisfied. I know it isn't fine dinning.. but it made me full. I'll come again to order my favourite spicy salted fried tofu. The service was great. Because there are so many ethnicities that go there.. the store front worker knows how to schmooze with little knowledge of each language.

There's a variety of dishes and the chefs are pretty consistent at grinding out tasty food. Usually a meal (rice/noodle + meat/vegetables/etc) is around $6. If you order the 3+ dish (dish only, no rice) combo, it is around $6.50/dish and they give you a full take out box's worth of free rice. They're pretty generous in terms of portion size too. One thing I have to mention is that sometimes the taste of the dishes changes a bit. Like sometimes their beef has a bit more/less black pepper in it or the sweet and sour pork is very crispy or not that crispy. However, their fried rice is very consistent in flavor. Perhaps their chefs alternate or something? They offer party trays that are around $40 (small) and $50 (large). Those party trays are gigantic. Sometimes my family orders a small party tray of fried rice and we take it to work/school for lunch for the next 2 days. Serves as a quick fix for when we're busy or too tired to cook. Bubble tea is highly recommended here. I purposely come to get it. For $2.50 here you can get a mango/honeydew/coconut/taro bubble tea with tapioca and some sweet clear jelly thing. I always get the taro bubble tea and even after trying the taro bubble teas from actual bubble tea shops, I find that the taste doesn't differ much from this one, but this one is sooo much cheaper. Simply put, this is bubble tea is worth it. I'm a regular at this place so I'll continue coming back. Overall, its a good place if you're looking for cheap Chinese takeout.

Also, for a bootleg Philly cheesesteak, which I know they do not claim to be, it was pretty good!! So a week later I was super craving my own and could not stop thinking about it. Thankfully for me, there's one an 8 minute drive away. Since I had such a good experience with the Italian that's what I decided to order. A medium. Also I had no idea you could add certain extra toppings at no fee, until my gf started ordering them lol next time. Hype is great to generate buzz, but it can also lead to unrealistic expectations. I'm happy to report that Firehouse has completely met and even surpassed my high expectations. I'd heard great things about their meatball sub, so I went with that on my first visit. I had a couple years as a teenager loving meatball subs at Subway, but have since largely moved on due the sub-par meat quality. The meatball sub here is EXACTLY what you would look for in a proper meatball sub. The meat quality is top notch, and that along with the sauce really brings out a great homemade feel. And of course with a sandwich, you can't overlook the importance of the bun and Firehouse has knocked it out of the park in that regard. It should be noted that all subs are toasted here. They also ensure it's toasted thoroughly so it will take a few minutes for your sub to be finished. Beyond that, they only have a handful of toppings to choose from, and ones that are conducive for a toasted sub - so no lettuce, tomato and others. There are still a few others however, such as bell peppers, jalapenos and more. I wanted to wait for another visit before I gave my review since a meatball sub could be a bit easier for a toasted sub place to pull off. I came in today and ordered the beef brisket sandwich. They describe it as smoked for 16 hours, though obviously it wouldn't be the same as a brisket from a BBQ joint. The brisket is deli-style meat, but their fridge is on full display and you can see that it arrives whole, which means they would slice it fresh. Beyond that, once I received my sandwich and began to eat, it's clear that it's about the highest quality deli meat available. It was apparent from the look and the taste, and even the smoked quality was evident. I brought a co-worker on this visit and she absolutely loved her steak and cheese sandwich. It's all about the quality of the ingredients here which makes the sandwiches great. They are also well-staffed here to manage many customers and they're super-friendly. I'm not sure how much I buy into the firehouse theme or even the fundraising/philanthropy aspect of the business - but when the food is this good it doesn't even matter.

However, the wrap I had here was fantastic and warranted a review. I had the Chicken Shawarma wrap here. The photo I have uploaded does not do it justice and wraps aren't the easiest things to take photos of anyway. The fresh veggies, the sauce and garlic sauce all worked in perfect harmony in this wrap and was absolutely delicious. The pricing was very reasonable as well. If you are visiting a loved one in this hospital or are hopefully there for a non serious ailment then I will wholeheartedly recommend having a wrap here. I loved the wrap but definitely do not wish to be in the hospital again so will certainly try out other franchises of this place.

Hello foodies out there I been hearing all the hype on Instagram foodies posting pictures and…read morereviews on this place for a while now, so it was time I stopped in and seen what all the hype was about. Munchers is located just off McLaughlin Rd. in a small older plaza on Flowertown Avenue. It's easy to find with plenty of parking. The restaurant is small looks like takeout only at this point but clean with very clear menus on the wall. They serve what I would call a very much modernized fast food Indian-fusion cuisine. Its Indian food with an American fusion twist to it.  They have some unique burgers, cheese melt sandwiches, poutines and of course there rice bowls all made with an Indian flavor's and spices. I decided to try two of their bowls, the Tandoori chicken Rice Bowl and the Shrimp Rice Bowl, there chicken burgers look great also but that will be for next time if I am back. Food : for the Tandoori Bowl I would have to say it was a 4/5 as far as appearance and taste , but it was a relatively small portion size so they could have been a little more generous with filling the bowl with more rice. The chicken is Tandoori marinated chicken is cubed and grilled and then placed over their rice. With two sauces one is a tandoori sauce very flavorful and not spicy at all, the other is a white cream sauce or aioli of sort, possibly a yogurt sauce, they combine well and go perfect with the chicken and rice. The rice is also very good well-seasoned, you can really taste the cumin and the cinnamon, just very tasty rice. The rice and the tandoori sauce they put over the chicken are defiantly the stars in this dish. It also comes with pickled onions that are really tasty also, really enjoyed them wish there was more in the dish, you also get the choice of a very small amount of coleslaw or green salad with the dish. The coleslaw was a disaster just horrible not seasoning and no flavor just plain cut with nothing on it and almost seemed it was cooked not fresh not crunch it, it was soft and wilted like it had been boiled, horrible if you get this opt-out of the coleslaw option not good at all. The Shrimp Bowl 4/5 as well the shrimp was well cooked very well-seasoned very spicy with a tiny kick to it, again the same issue just a small portion if you're a big eater you're going to need two of these bowls they are stingy with their portion sizes at least with bowls, The rice again was amazing same as above, also came with that horrible coleslaw not recommended at all as a side option. Service 2/5 The food overall was great however their downfall is their service just horrible, first considering I was the only person there at about 2 pm after the lunch rush, it took them 34 minutes to prepare my food, with one other person walking in about 10 minutes after me. You place your order then they text you when the order is ready , after placing my order at the counter girl told me it would be 15 minutes, 20 minutes later I did not receive text so I walked in to check the status of my food and she told me it would be another 10 minutes in actuality ended up being another 14 minutes. Just pathetic service, I guess they don't have a clue what under promise over deliver means. The staff was not exactly friendly either, it's a shame great food horrible customer service, need major improvement, not sure I will be back having to wait well over 30 minutes for fast food takeout My recommendation is call-in your order and don't show up early if you want your food on time.
