    Fish tacos for Lent!
    Rachelle M.

Went here for lent on a Friday and they were pretty busy there is plenty of parking and easy to get in and out of.This location has an A and W attached to it before they used to have the root beer spouts but it seems as if they took those out and now just hav writ beer with the soda machine. We ordered the Fish and shrimp combo a side of clams and fish tacos. The manager here is awesome she was working hard running circles around her workers! And she is super nice!! We went after 5pm and she greeted everyone even though they were so busy. Our food came out hot and fresh the only thing I didn't like were the fries because they were bland but we came for the fish anyway.our meals came with coleslaw which is really good and hush puppies,They also sell cheese curds now too!Since it's lent for a lot of people or if you are just craving some good ole long john silver go and check it out! And don't forget to ring the bell on your way out!

Half inch portion of co-slaw. Gee..... thanks. Tell me again why your made your prices higher?
    Derek M.

It's usually decent, the workers have attitudes, but now they're making their prices higher and shorting the portions. Total rip off. Thanks for my half inch of co-slaw.

This is my plate. The bug is the black thing on my paper towel!!

We ordered our usual: 2 lbs of crawfish with their whole shabang sauce mild, we included 3 potatoes, 7 sausages, and 1 corn to the bag, a side of rice, cajun fries, and a margarita. We finished at 7:10 pm, which is like the quickest boiling crab experience ever! Thoughts: -Sauce is not the authentic boiling crab sauce, it is way less seasoned and had an odd aftertaste. Ca and Dallas ones are 10000% much better.. tasting wise, but I've also never been to a boiling crab where they've messed up the sauce?? cuz cmon! the sauce is the best part!!! -Sausages are TINY compared to other boiling crab restaurants we've been to -I don't normally dip my crawfish in the lime/salt&pepper cuz you honestly don't really need it, but I dipped it in there for every single bite this time around.. hence, the sauce.... -Menus on napkin holder aka QR code -Gloves were the only solid thing here! We will not be frequenting this boiling crab location anymore. Waste of money! Overall, boiling crab is honestly like the best besides all the waiting, but if the sauce isn't good, then it's not worth it cuz you really are there for the sauce. Parking spots are limited near the restaurant, and people ought to park better cuz some people just can't park. Get there early to avoid that and to lessen your wait time. Servers were attentive and nice.

The atmosphere definitely sets a good first impression. My main issue, however, is with the food. For the price you're paying, the dishes felt pretty basic and didn't really stand out. I expected something more memorable given the pricing. Another thing that bothered me was the service. Our waiter kept encouraging us to order more items throughout the meal, which felt a bit pushy. Later I realized that gratuity was already included in the bill, so larger orders likely meant a bigger tip. That left a slightly uncomfortable impression. Would I recommend it? Sure -- it's worth trying once and forming your own opinion. But personally, I've had much better seafood at more reasonable prices elsewhere.

When we were leaving she asked if she could give us hugs and we were more than happy to oblige. I wish I can remember her name. You can really taste the love that went into all this food. This is a food truck right across from HEB mueller in that swimming pool parking lot. She's only open on the weekends and her food can be ordered on DoorDash but she has more menu items in person than on DoorDash. I online ordered and picked up 3 different orders. 2 of them were not ready and she had me wait in my car and she brought them out to me so I didn't melt in the heat. Now the important stuff the menu... Ok who knew you could fry ribs?!?! They were on point. 4 to an order. Ribs were still moist, the batter had a crunch, and the meat fell off the bone. The dirty rice was the best dirty rice I've ever eaten. It was loaded up with seafood The smothered pork chops were 2 to an order and 2 sides served on a bed of white rice. Also very moist and great flavor, the Mac n cheese was not runny which I personally hate when it's just a runny mess, the fried cabbage also had a great flavor and it was still crunchy. The jerk chicken had great flavor but it was ordered as mild (not by me) and it definitely needed the heat/spice,the jumbalaya side was also tasty We also got the hot Cheetos boudin balls (I forgot to take a picture) they were huge and not spicy at first bite the heat sneaks up on you. The strawberry crunch cake was a big slice and reminded me of strawberry cake doughnut but that banana pudding was also probably the best banana pudding I've ever eaten. I felt all the portions were huge and prices were fair. This definitely not a food truck to sleep on. I've been told she makes great oxtails but they sell out fast.

Walking in, I was flooded with memories of older times, where I would saddle up to the bar with a mate and start into so Oysters/beer and laughs. Not much has changed, which I found comforting. We were graciously welcomed and lead over to our table. My team was there and we all ordered some drinks. It as lunch, so no beers for me today. As I almost forgot how full and simple the menu was. All sorts of stuff I forgot, including the alligator bites, which a colleague purchased, so others could try. Small knock on this, they weren't as punchy as I recall, perhaps a tad overcooked, but nonetheless, entertaining. I ordered a sweet tea.. haven't have that in a leap year or more. It was perfect! There was so much damage I wanted to do to the menu, but in the end, I settled for the Crispy Salmon and Jumbo Crab. There was no sparing the butter on this dish. Salmon, I mean I cook a great deal of Salmon, was an absolute gem. Crispy and not overcooked and the Jumbo Crab was a nice addition. It did come with a different broccolini, which was a little undercooked, but I'm really being picky here. I ate it all and left butter on the plate. A complete no-no. The ambiance was like it always has been. Busy, colourful and well appointed. Our server, was very knowledgeable about the menu and another colleagues allergy. They checked a couple times to make sure there wouldn't be any mistakes in the kitchen. That was appreciated. Rosé Gosé (note accents) is in an unassuming Airport Blvd location (right next to Jewboy Burgers, an Austin favorite). It is run by a couple from Belarus that came here right after Covid to open up a restaurant, with a sister in Minsk. Defying expectations, the menu is not Balkan at all. If anything, there is a strong Asian influence with poke bowls and a lot of seafood. But the menu also offers beef tartare on their raw bar menu, as well as a steak offering and grilled chicken. It's a diverse and adventurous menu, all the way from small plates to hefty mains and vegetable sides. For the dessert, try the pavlova, a meringue confection stuffed with coconut mousse and topped with lime sorbet and a grapefruit slice sidecar. Everything is superbly presented, and unquestionably fresh and healthy without veering into twigs and berries territory. The cocktail menu is also playful, with a lot of nontraditional glassware and slight spins on popular drinks; their version of a Paloma uses prosecco instead of a splash of soda. The servers are all dressed in rosé jumpsuits and very attentive. The space is amiable and elegant without being pretentious. The table spacing is a little close, so that conversations carry between guests. The table setting has some nice touches, like the little wooden bench that holds your fork and knife off the table. In European fashion, water can be asked for but it won't be served with ice. Plan on taking your time and enjoying course after course.

Rosé Gosé was a delightful Mother's Day lunch spot. It is a whole vibe, and it is uniquely French! When we walked in an artist was playing romantic music on his keyboard, which set the tone for the brunch. It is a small restaurant inside with a larger area of seating on the patio. Of course, our reservations were inside in the comforts of air conditioning. You immediately notice a wine wall hence the name Rosé Gosé. The restaurant has many windows which provide lots of natural light. The tables house miniature yellow roses and utensils sat in a small wooden block...very French. All the servers were dressed in mauve clothing that resemble scrubs from a hospital. If someone stepped out in a French beret, I would have fallen over. Our server, Sergey, immediately served us water and took our order. The restaurant was highlighted as a modern European bistro. The atmosphere was charming, elegant, and stylish making it ideal for a Mother's Day brunch. My hubby ordered a ribeye, eggs and French Fries. I ordered the avocado toast with salmon and egg whites. While I'm not a huge red meat eater, I tasted a piece of the hubs ribeye and it was nicely prepared. My avocado toast was yummy to the nth degree! Everything was perfect. The avocado was precisely cut and at the right level of softness. The salmon was chopped into tiny little squares and so enjoyable to eat. We could not be more pleased. With a name like Rosé Gosé you would expect their drinks to be superb. My hubby ordered a hibiscus tea, which was delightful. I ordered a mimosa that had high quality ingredients and was perfectly balanced...so smooth. We were also pleased with the drinks. This was the first time at Rosé Gosé, however, it definitely will not be the last.
