    Shrimp way over cooked

The nicest part about the restaurant/experience was the robot bringing me my food, but that is it. I had the fry bowling balls and they were spoiled. The fish and shrimp were overcooked and I was trying to get a refund on the board balls, but I could not get a refund because the manager was not there. ABSOLUTELY WORST EXPERIENCE.

    Coastal Platter

We visited Austin and ordered from Crab and Crawl. The food was delicious - hot & buttery! We ordered the Coastal Platter. We didn't have any issues ordering from the website and the delivery was fine. We'll definitely order again and will recommend to others.

Read the great reviews and thought we would try it out. It's an electronic food court! If you're not tech savvy you might have trouble navigating, but they have employees around willing to help. Great concept for a small business.

Met my daughter here for lunch... the Food was great and the service was just as good...I had a blast!

could have gone to H-E-B or Walmart and bought the shrimp. That's exactly the shrimp that they give you. The corn is not even fresh. It's a frozen corn from the frozen super expensive for very low quality of shrimp and seafood very disappointed rather go too.......LA crawfish & crawfish shack they have better quality of food. I could have done a better job even doing them at home myself. Went to another restaurant cause I was very disappointed with this one and you can see the shrimp quality and the sausage and potato is a lot better. That's still original Cajun way.

Who's gonna wanna keep eating after finding a whole cockroach in there food!!!!

Disappointed! $90 down the drain. At first the workers were giving me and my partner a hard time when picking up the other order. Then finding a whole cockroach in my food! I threw it all away. How is my family supposed to enjoy dinner after seeing a whole cockroach in the food.

Conveniently located in a shopping strip, Burnet & Anderson. We missed lunch specials by 5 minutes but it was all good. I ordered the Boudin Balls with shrimp fried rice as my side, my daughter had fried catfish with fries and my son had the grilled catfish with cilantro rice and steamed vegetables. Everything was so good, I mean all of our plates were filled with such deliciousness. Upon entering walk to the counter to place your order, a number is provided to you as placement on your table, your order is brought to your table. There are TV's all around and nifty decor being all things Austin. We will be a returning to try other menu items.

Ok so yes I gave it a 3/5 but here's why. It leaned a little one note.. the shrimp fried rice was just okay. the jalapeño ranch wasn't giving either Jalapeño or ranch, it leaned more like a tartar sauce. It also came with a side of sauce that I wouldn't call cocktail sauce but had spice in it and I wasn't sure what to use it with. Now THAT was great! Also the fry on both the chicken and the shrimp were good. Parking is ample - you just might get some characters in the lot. They'll leave you alone

Walking in, I was flooded with memories of older times, where I would saddle up to the bar with a mate and start into so Oysters/beer and laughs. Not much has changed, which I found comforting. We were graciously welcomed and lead over to our table. My team was there and we all ordered some drinks. It as lunch, so no beers for me today. As I almost forgot how full and simple the menu was. All sorts of stuff I forgot, including the alligator bites, which a colleague purchased, so others could try. Small knock on this, they weren't as punchy as I recall, perhaps a tad overcooked, but nonetheless, entertaining. I ordered a sweet tea.. haven't have that in a leap year or more. It was perfect! There was so much damage I wanted to do to the menu, but in the end, I settled for the Crispy Salmon and Jumbo Crab. There was no sparing the butter on this dish. Salmon, I mean I cook a great deal of Salmon, was an absolute gem. Crispy and not overcooked and the Jumbo Crab was a nice addition. It did come with a different broccolini, which was a little undercooked, but I'm really being picky here. I ate it all and left butter on the plate. A complete no-no. The ambiance was like it always has been. Busy, colourful and well appointed. Our server, was very knowledgeable about the menu and another colleagues allergy. They checked a couple times to make sure there wouldn't be any mistakes in the kitchen. That was appreciated. I found myself wishing they were closer to my next of the woods, W71/Old Bee Caves road, since it would be another place to frequent again.

The restaurant has lots of seating and it has a very chill vibe. There are plenty of TVs to watch sports games and there is a bar as well. Calamari: The calamari was very crispy and a good portion. Shell Shocker: This boil was really good! The portion is good and the prices are standard. I got the Hook & Reel special blend and it was extremely flavorful and yummy. We ate lightly as we were heading to a dinner holiday party. The appetizers were absolutely delicious. I got to speak with Chef Manny and and Carina, the general manager to gain some insights about the business. Mexican Cocina is based on the cooking method and seasonings. The foods can be cooked over fire, oven or in the stove. Their unique value proposition is that you can choose your seafood from the case and the restaurant staff prepares the food to your liking. The restaurant is very large with different size rooms for rental. For large party rentals the spend minimum is $1000 and during the week it is $800. Such a nice find relatively close to home...definitely will return...

The bartender was very friendly and attentive to us but the food was very disappointing. We started with the ceviche tropical, which is consists of shrimp and fruit/veggies. It was very underseasoned and did not seem to be well marinated. Moreover, the dish had a fishiness to it that was a turnoff. The chips served with the ceviche had oil collecting on them (see photo). I've had good ceviche in the U.S. and Mexico and this was not it. The main entree was the Tacos Nayarit (fish tacos). The portions of fish were microscopic and also lacked flavor. The Spanish rice served on the side was the worst I've had in a restaurant. It was wet, old and gummy (see photo). The black beans didn't taste bad but they were superheated as if they were warmed in a microwave. Overall, the food was pretty horrible. So very sad as I was hoping to find a good Mexican seafood option in Austin. I was told that this restaurant is owned by the same folks that operate Casa Chapala, where I have had great experiences. Hopefully this place will improve over time.

Had not been to this restaurant in a good while, and was a last minute decision. Good choice. Beet salad excellent, but the Fresno peppers had way too much heat, so pushed them to side. My wife had the Moroccan curry, which had a very spot on Moroccan flavor (been there 3x), and was a large, filling portion so brought home leftovers. I had the grilled pork chop which was large, perfectly grill with a tasty bourbon-based glaze, served with a large roasted garlic clove. Wonderful dish.
