When the bar is packed, you can still sit in the back and have a pleasurable dining experience. The food, for the most part is good. We have had some things over salted or too well done but never inedible. The tuna appetizer is one of our favorites and the tots are so well done! The building is a beautiful mansion Est. in 1806. The mansion was converted to a restaurant in 1975. You need reservations for the upper upscale dining area. We decided to eat in the Speakeasy room located in the basement because it was more casual. Glad we ate in speakeasy room because it was a really nice cave looking room with vintage decor and cool prohibition photos from the 1920s. We enjoyed the Half Rack of char grilled pork ribs with brown sugar, soy and ginger with a side of cheesy scallop potatoes. For dessert, we enjoyed the crème brûlée and Kahlua cheesecake.
