My sandwich, fries, and drink were $12.04!!!! My thought was, "It had better be worth it!" My food was delivered a short time later. The fries were freshly cooked. Penn Station subs are amazing. When I worked in downtown Pittsburgh, I would visit that location weekly, and it was stellar. I was thrilled when they opened one in Washington, PA. However, the religious music being played makes me very uncomfortable. It's not "offensive," but it's not welcoming to people with different ideologies. If this weren't a chain, it would be fine, but maybe put on some oldies or something more innocuous if Top 40 is too risqué for you. Hobby Lobby is another big draw in this plaza. I'm wondering how many establishments in the plaza have this ostentatious Christian vein running through them. Overall, good food and okay service. My music complaint may seem trite, but it overshadows my entire experience in this location. I try to make it into downtown Pittsburgh when I'm craving Penn Station. read more

Today I downloaded the app to receive my 6" Sub for free and it was well worth it. I got the Philly cheesesteak with mushrooms and mustard. It took about five minutes which is logical because they cook it right there and then. The steak itself had so much flavor and the bread was crispy. I love PennStation's subs, but the service at this location sucks. I don't know who's managing it but they should be embarrassed. It not efficient and the workers touch raw meat and then the computer to take your order...which is scary. Head to a different location and save yourself the bad service and food poisoning. read more

The bathroom was clean but the tables were dirty. Even though it wasn't busy, they took a long time (compared to other Penn Stations) to make my sandwich. I ordered the grilled vegetarian without cheese and when they finally brought it out, it was missing lettuce, tomato, pickles, onions. My husband brought it to the cashier to be corrected. She was apologetic. But when the griller brought it back to our table, she said "Sorry about that." in a sarcastic, rude tone, tossed it on our table and walked off. The added ingredients were thrown haphazardly onto the sandwich with the lettuce hanging off and falling onto the table. My husband didn't have any problems with his sandwich. Remember Quiznos in our area? Yeah? Me too. This is Quiznos revamped. First time trying their turkey and Swiss and it's reminiscent of Quiznos quality. The sandwich actually made my mouth water and give a verbal "mmmmm" approval as I was eating it. The two guys working on this particular date were very friendly and professional.. but at the same time personable. I highly recommend Penn Station. Only downfall is that it takes a little longer for your order just because they cook everything right then and there (tough to complain about that though!) also, their fries are to die for; not real salty and fresh! I've been wanting to try this place out for a while now and stopped by yesterday with my wife. They are a sub shop and a nice one at that, very clean with plenty of seating. I got the 12" Philly wit onions, mushrooms and banana peppers and of course fries, anytime we see fresh cut fries we order them and these we exceptionally good. The sandwich was very good as well, juicy with plenty of toppings and BIG and a large fries is just that and then some, many more than we could handle. My wife got the Philly as well but a small one wit onion and peppers, she said next time no peppers as they were to spicy for her, I didn't notice the heat. I know I'll be back for more, Guaranteed. I saw another review that mentioned Christan music but I didn't notice it as I was focused on the food and the music playing wasn't loud enough to hear. Something has changed here. I used to love this place and stillenjoy the foodbutthw service has Just gotten awful. 1:30 on a Sunday. I am the second person in line. 3 employees in the store. Cashier takes his order and then walks away from the register and starts prepping it. There is another guy at the grill also. I wait a few minutes. More people come in. Then more. 10 people in line behind me. Cashier guy still working on prepping. 2 people come in and leave. Then 2 more. Guy finally takes my order. He takes one more order and goes back to prepping. 2 more people leave while I am waiting to pay. Girl that was at register goes to prepping. Guy at grill comes to register. 2 more people come in and leave. I sit down and wait. I don't know, but I think the priority should always be taking people's orders. It is ok to wait to pay and everyone expects to wait a few minutes for their orders. Having over 10 people in line and having some of them leave is just the wrong way to do things. This is not the first time I've seen this and once before, I left because of the long line to order. There must be a better way to do this. read more

I've been to Penn Station at least 8-10 times since it opened. I have never had to wait so long for a sub in my life! I was the only person in line last week, and it was still over 15 minutes before I was out the door! When there are other people in line, the wait is over 20 minutes.
