NOTE: this place is now called New A & Z Nail Supply. That said went twice and I'm a fan. They sell at wholesale prices, but you don't need a special tax ID. Anyone can shop! They have all things needed for a professional or hobbyists at prices lower than retail stores. For example Essie polish is just $4. There are several brands of polish and gel polish and lots of colors. In addition they carry things like nail files, buffers, wax, rhinestones, pedi foot graters, everything needed to apply tips, face mask, gel lamps, e-files, everything to do hard gel, and more. Go see for yourself. The employees are helpful so ask questions. That said however, if you're looking for something and they say they don't have it take another look. I went and found something my sister wanted and told her about it. Unbeknownst to me she stopped by later asked for it(even showed the pic) and was told they don't have it. She ended up buying it from Sunrise Nail Supply a block away for $3 more. My only "complaints" are I wish: they had more embellishments, that items in the front case were better displayed, and that there was more room to move around. Pretty good in terms of powder and gel selections but I'm a traditionalist and like my nail lacquer. They offer Essie, OPI, kiara sky, LeChat/Dare to Wear, SNS, Zoya, and other brands. But you can also get other nail supplies and don't need a business id. I recommend that you do your research on which brand you want to buy, get the name and the code number so if you can find what you want and leave otherwise you'll be in the store forever. I've tried to get some colors from recent collections and it's a hit or miss. They will carry classic collections and sometimes they'll carry colors from previous collections that the drugstore usually sells out and can't find anymore. The customer service is good and they'll help you find what you're looking for (if they didn't sell out). I feel like they just tell you that do they don't go in the back to look for it. But, you gotta understand, they're a beauty supply store, and they fill business orders and online orders so it's busy. Bring cash and won't be charged for extras, but a credit card they will, at least 5% for usage. The store is out of the way for me since I reside in Manhattan but I would defiantly make the trip if I want to add new colors to my nail polish collection. It is like a candy store for your nails. They have everything from gels, acrylics, dip powder and just normal nail polish. The best is that the prices are so GOOD since they sell at wholesale price, Essie and OPI for $4/$5 that's crazy. This is a great place for nail supplies. They have everything you need to do a DIY at home. The nail polishes are cheaper here than if you buy it from CVS, Rite Ad, and other chain pharmacies. I wished they had more essie colors. When I went it was lacking inventory. There was only just one shelf of it, but even that one shelf was pretty empty. read more

They have a smaller selection than Nails Plus two blocks down, but the ladies are friendlier, and I find their actual nail supply tools (cuticle oil, lotion, pedi salts) more plentiful. P.S. My nails were suffering and it will be a shame for me not to do them since I can. So searching for a few minutes this place came up on my radar. I called, spoke to a nice lady and proceeded to visit the store on their next open day. I was able to find everything I needed in this one little shop packed with amazing products. I noticed after I got home and one of the products with mislabeled in I was sad because it hindered the process, so I called. The nice lady who answered the phone, I think she might be the owner invited me to come in whenever was convenient and she would come open, and exchange it without issue. So about a week or so later I went back (of course calling first), and she was waiting with the proper product upon my arrival. I was instructedto use the sidedoor due to vandalism. (9/14/19) This was a pretty cool store. I was greeted with a hello & a smile when I entered. It's open to regular consumers (you do not need a tax or business ID to shop here) They have a good selection of high quality brands which I love! Mostly everything was organized, & if I needed help, someone was there to assist me. I mainly went in to shop for Kiara Sky, & their Gel Polishes were $6 which is AMAZING!! I literally ordered from the Kiara Sky website about 2 days ago & their Gel Polish retails for $12.99! I was like omg! I canceled that order with the quickness lol! I made sure to open each & every polish I wanted before purchasing & they weren't thick or dried out (major plus). The BIGGEST thing for me with this store was that I wasn't being WATCHED every isle I went in. I know it's Chinese owned & at times they stare at your every move you (plenty of beauty supply stores I've been to) but I was not watched & so grateful for that. The myth has been busted -- $4 Essie and $5 OPI. And it's beautiful. I've been on a frustrating and unsuccessful hunt for local places to buy gel polish for going on two weeks now. Of course I asked around about Chinatown but little did I know that good ol' Borough Park had exactly what I needed and more. Customer service: not as bad as I expected. In my experience dealing with people whose native language is not English, and choose to speak to their coworkers in said language around you, they tend to not be as attentive as..well..as my standards would like. Working in a retail store that focuses highly on customer service, we make sure that our customers' experience was as pleasant as possible and that they come first. One way is by making them feel like they can ask a million questions if they wanted. Here, is why I take off one star. They don't seem annoyed when you ask questions but they're very short with you and if they're focused on something else, it's a little difficult to hold their attention. One thing I thought was great is that I didn't seem to find anyone following me when I went to the back of the store or out of their view as if I was going to steal something. The two females that I spoke to were indeed helpful, answered my questions and didn't hesitate to show me where something was that I asked about and accidentally overlooked. When I first asked about the price of a gel polish, one of the females warned me that I need base and top gels with a UV light for them. Although I knew exactly what I was about to purchase, I'm sure some people have gone in not knowing what they were picking up. Prices: Wow. Where do I even start? First of all, I can't say I don't love some $4 Essie but CND Vinylux is $5 here and the cheapest I've found that online is about $8~. The Gelish is $12 and from what I recall, the ones I find at Sally's for around $12 are the mini ones. These were full sized!!! IBD gels are $8 (their cheapest gel). CND shellac is $15 (I wish I would have thought to compare this price to the online prices I've seen.) which is probably $10 less than whatever their retail prices are. OPI gel is $14 and Essie gel is either $11 or $12. I'll adjust that once I go back and find out. Product variety: They specialize in bulk product. But the great thing is that you don't have to buy EVERYTHING in bulk. The only things I wanted that had to be bought in bulk were the CND cuticle oil, 100/180 and 220 grit nail files. Although you get like 5,000 files for $5, which isn't bad at all. I'm sure there are tons more to be bought in bulk. They have anything and everything that a nail tech, aspiring nail tech, or even any lover of nail polish would go goo goo ga ga over. If you live nearby or just like to save money, the trip down here is totally worth it. I'd rather travel 40~ minutes for cheap, instant gratification than wait 4 days for something that was clearly overpriced. I know I'll be back on the regular for sure. read more

This place is my go to nail supply store. They have a huge selection of nail polishes from regular to gel polishes. Usually the colors that are extremely pretty are low in stock, but other than that this place is a hidden gem. If you want to save money from buying nail polishes from OPI/Essie, this place is a money saver. Prices are affordable and you will always want to come back for more. Only thing I don't like about this store is that it can be crowded with boxes all around, but that's no big of deal. read more

Great place! Nice staff that didn't follow me around as I shopped. Didn't feel rushed! It looked a bit shady in the front-but it didn't stop me from going in and checking it out lol! Amazing selection of Essie ($4) and OPI ($5). They also have Seche Vite top coat ($5) too! The ladies are pleasant. I accidentally bought the Seche Vite base coat and went back to exchange it within the hour with no problems. It's definitely out of the way if you're in Manhattan, but well worth it for the price. Make sure you know what looks good on you (or check Pinterest for the bottle numbers) before coming or you may be overwhelmed with searching for the right shades. read more

Love this place. This is where I buy all my OPI stuff and some of my essies (there's a place a block away that has Essie for $3, so I prefer to go there for Essie if they have the color I'm looking for). Lovely store for everything to do with nails and just a few blocks from the train station, too! The only upsetting thing is that they ran out of OPI Shatter really quickly and couldn't tell me when they'd have more in stock.
