Updating my review because I've been loyal to this place for a decade now and they continue to be amazing. The people here are so nice! They go above and beyond for their basic pedicures. I always get just a regular mani/pedi (no gels or anything like that) and they do a phenomenal job on natural nails. They're french manicures are always so good. Its great for a basic mani/pedi and very well priced compared to other spots in the area. I dont do tips or gel manicures, but Ive noticed on other women that those look great too. Love this place, and will continue to be loyal to them because they are that good! read more

I love that this location takes walk-ins, even for gel, manicures, and pedicures. I do find that the results of my pedicure are inconsistent depending on which person does it. It does get a little bit busy on Sundays but any other day of the week you should be able to walk right in. Unfortunately they are only able to do simple designs on nails. Not very professional, I came in to get a quote for gel nail removal and mid way into our conversation May got distracted and started having another conversation with her colleague while I was still standing and she is holding on to my hand. I decided to move forward with the service and again mid way in she got distracted by another customer and left me sitting on the chair while she starts service with her new customer (my service is still ongoing and halfway through) I am still soaking one hand in acetone and my fingers are getting warm and dry at this point. While she is using the drill filer on my hand the drill got caught about 4-5 times rolling against the finger and my cuticle. After all of that when I got home I realized she didn't do an even job and there is uneven dips and still gel left on my nails that I have to fix on my own. I went in to get acrylics and they were done very poorly however, when I called back the next day and complained about the service, the owner Jenny kindly offered to do the set over free of charge she did an amazing job and took great care of me while I was there, definitely be returning for acrylics with Jenny. Been coming to Jen for about 4 years for lashes and nails. She does the best work and is a perfectionist. She takes her time to give her customers exactly what they want and as she's doing nails she always asks if everything is looking good. For lashes she's very trained in different shapes and styles- I've switched between 3D wispy and cat eye... love both! For 3D she charges $125, which is a good price for quality work. I did an SNS manicure today and love the shape and color she did. I believe SNS is $38. She also did a few silk extensions so my nails would be the same shape. UPDATE-2 days later my toe and index finger caught an infection. NEVER IN MY LIFE HAVE I EVER! 3 for effort but I honestly don't think I'll be coming back. I went in for a pedi and full set of SNS. The pedi was great but it took a full 2 hours to finish my acrylic set. Throughout the process, the tech would get up and do something or stop short to book a few appointments over the phone. My cuticles were pushed backed and it trimmed, my nail was shaped the normal way which is usually with a metal buffer but instead with a nail file and electronic file buffer. Because of this, my nails came out bulky. I mentioned the nails were bulky and uneven but the nail tech just filed it more. I would've gave this place a second chance but being that I spoke up and the problem continued I won't be coming back read more

Needed a better than average pedicure for my neglected feet, and that's not easy to find in Brooklyn! Most nail salons in the area push "spa pedicures" that mean adding a leg scrub and maybe a 2 minute quick massage. Not this place. My first time here, and the place is clean and pleasant. I recently started going here and was happy with my manicure until I got the gel. The first manicure I got peeled up after 3 days where they happily fixed it. The second one peeled up after a day, when I went in to get it fixed she got upset and just put more gel on top (???) which doesn't fix the issue in the slightest. 20 minutes later, it peeled up again, so I went back in because as I mentioned it was only a day old. She got upset and took a tool meant for iPhones around the same width as a metro card and pried it off of my finger. I am not a nail technician but that doesn't seem like the right way to remove it, especially since they didn't do that the first time and I was in excruciating pain, which she noticed but chose to ignore. I never really had any issues with it in the past, I get not every manicure is perfect but gel isn't supposed to peel if it's from a professional nor am I supposed to be in pain during this. As I am typing this, another finger started to peel up, so this doesn't really seem like a one off thing. read more

I came in for a mani/pedi and everything was fine up until the time to pay. The lady who did my nails had glasses on with dark blonde hair (I usually go to Jenny), the lady seemed like she wasn't happy with my tip, didn't say thank you and started painting my fingers HORRIBLY almost as if she wanted to purposely mess them up. Loved my nails by Nancy (mini spa pedicure) and tracy (gel manicure). They did a phenomenal job AND did my mani pedi simultaneously; which I thought was amazing since I can't spend too much time out with a newborn at home. The price all together was $47 and that included a 6 minute foot massage, cucumber cream, a callus remover all on my feet and gel manicure done extremely well. I moved about 15-30 minutes away depending on traffic and still come here just to get my nails done. The service is great and the job is awesome! read more

Have been coming here for years now. Jenny is my absolute go to for SNS, gel, acrylic tips, and silk tips. She can fix any monstrosity and make your hands looking amazing. Nancy and Donna are my go to for pedicures. They do a good job and they last a very long time. Gel lasts me two weeks. Acrylics last me roughly two, but depending on length, I tend to break a nail or two but come right back for a free repair. SNS (which I have stuck to for almost 1.5 years now) lasts three but could go longer, but my nail is grown out too much. read more

About to on vacation and decided a few weeks back that maybe, I'd like to get a professional mani/pedi; I normally do my own, and started yelping places nearby home. I've gone to one before but it was a little further and I didn't want to trek that far, but I wanted something closer and new there were quite a few in my own neighborhood, practically one one each block. I decided yesterday that I was for sure going to get it done so came on Yelp and looked for reviews. I found a few that had decent ratings but ultimately decided on this place, Jen Reve. Since I had taken an extra day off, I decided this was how I was going to start my vacation. And it started right!! I walked over here, it was a short walk, just a few blocks and I wasn't sure what to expect when I walked in, but though there was a customer at almost every station, including the tubs, I was serviced right away. After telling them what I was looking to do, they asked me to choose a color but since I already knew, I just told them and they had it. The tech I got was Joy and she's just the sweetest. After sitting down at the tub, she showed me their menu of treatments and since I was getting their gel color/spa pedi combo, I chose a scent, Lavendar, which was nice. Joy really listened to how I normally do my nails and she followed everything. The pedi also included a 10 minute massage which felt really nice especially since I have arthritis and it helped relieve some pressure I was feeling. Everything they used was individually wrapped and they'd used a new one when it came time for the mani. I love that the foot scrubber they used was also new, it's a sticker. Next up my gel mani, I told her I like to keep my nails as short as possible and she did a good of filing it down enough, I normally go even shorter, but didn't think that would be a good idea to tell her but she did a great job. I had to ask her to file it a little more the first time and she even went over it again one more time and it's perfect. She did a really good job with the polish and asked me if I wanted a chair massage. Heck yes! She asked me how long if a massage I wanted and initially I said 10 minutes but decided on 20 and I don't regret it. Joy was gently yet firm and I almost fell asleep. She hit this one spot on my middle back on my left side that had me making a tiny squeal and she asked if I was ok. I said yes, it's that spot kind of hurts but when you pressed it, it felt good and she started cracking up. I definitely recommend Jen Reve to anyone looking to get a mani/pedi. All the girls are friendly and would come over to chat if they didn't have a customer but they didn't linger. I will be back in the future when I want to pamper myself again. It's rare that I do, but I had such a nice experience, I think I might do it more often and just get a regular mani/pedi since I don't normally do gel polish, only on special occasions like vacation! The salon is lovely and clean, and the tools are super hygienic. Everything is sterilized and in sealed packets like in a dentist's office. They also use liners in the foot baths to prevent cross contamination. The package prices are amazing - you get lots of extra services added in so they're a good value. I got a manicure, pedicure and 20 minute massage for $40. (I did 10 minutes on legs, 10 on my back in the massage chair, and it was really fantastic!) That came with a special callous treatment for my heels. My nails always look perfectly painted when I leave, and my manicures last. I got them done right before Thanksgiving and spent a lot of time cooking and washing dishes, and didn't get a single chip or scratch. read more

Update: I thought I loved my gel manicure until my thumb cracked and broke not less than a day after I got it. I went back asking for a touch up thinking it was an accident (which was nice of them). But now it's been a week and they're all completely chipping and breaking off. A gel manicure should last at least a little longer. You know how good a nail salon by how many customers there are at any time. It was a friday afternoon around 4pm when I went and it was completely busy. All the nail tech were busy with a customer and there were people waiting. Luckily I only had to get a gel manicure removed and they managed to fit me in. Just from my experience being there for 30 minutes, apparently everyone makes appointments there well ahead of schedule. As I don't get mani/pedi often, I didn't realize that this was a thing until I saw every customer finish with their manicure and ask to make another appointment for next week. The prices are very reasonable and would definitely be interested in coming back for a mani one day. read more

I've been getting my gel manicures and pedicures done here for over a year or maybe two now. I rarely had any less than satisfactory experience here. They do tend to get crowded especially in the evening and especially on weekends, so try to get there early and a weekday if possible. Although there are some technicians that do a better job than others, I'm almost always happy with the outcome of whoever does my nails. From spa pedicures to gel manicures they usually do a pretty decent job. They're very nice and accommodating. The 1st time could be an accident, but happening twice just means you lack the skill. She had to apply alcohol and pressure. It was on the same foot also. Ugh. When I was getting the manicure I was so traumatized that I told her she didn't have to cut my cuticles. The paint job resulted in many air bubbles. Won't be coming back. read more

Jenny is the best she does nails to your discretion and not what she thinks or wants to do she's always asking how we're the workers with you and would you try them or the job you got done again she is very much into feedback in order to better satisfy her customers she is not money hungry and she conversates with you like friends another thing is they literally have a pedi menu and you choose what you want before they start they use everything new in packages per customer so that's a huge deal!! I recommend this nail salon. I've gone a few times without an appointment. They are clean and friendly. I usually get the organic spa pedicure. Cost is $40 includes 10 min massage of legs and feet and manicure. I recently did the SNS instead of a regular mani (like getting gel but it's powder) and the nail cracked after 4 days which isn't supposed to happen. Went back and Jenny fixed the nails and touched up others free of charge. Great customer service. read more

I have been to this place many times before for pedicure and gel mani's. I have filled up those visits cards, the ones where you get a free service after a certain # of visits. I never chose to write a review until now. I've scaled back over the past few months a started going to my original tech who is a few more blocks away. I would consider this places work to be subpar. When doing a pedi they don't clean very well. They don't clean under the toe nails along the side and they always try to upsell to their spa packages. Which is annoying especially if you've already told them what you want. I recently went to this salon in a pinch (last week) to get a manicure and not the best decision. The women he did my nails just pushed my cuticles back and clipped them a little. I left dissatisfied and didn't leave a tip. A few days later I went to my main salon to get a fresh mani and my technician said "did you just get a mani?" I said yes, she then replied "I thought so because I see your nails are painted but I was unsure because of all the dead skin and cuticles I'm clipping."
