I am posting under my wife's account, so don't freak out. This is a guy doing the review. OK, nothing but a good straight cut with guys that have been doing it for a while. Jessie is the owner, but you also have Dave, Jack and Jim dishing old school cuts. This is not a trendy, fedora wearing, tattooed up shop. You get a cut or a shave for $15 bucks. Plenty of magazines to pass the time and flat panel with sports going if you are so inclined. This is a classy place. I went in last Friday for a straight razor head and face shave. The experience was exactly what I was looking for. My barber Ivan gave me the works. Hot towels, aftershave, comfortable chair, etc. He even asked me if I wanted the shave with or against the grain. No one ever asked me that. I got all of this for a very reasonable price, about half of what other shops were charging for similar service. I made the mistake of going without calling first. Do not do that!!! Lol. They go by appointments only but it is worth it. The guys there really know what they are doing. They found out I was watching the UCLA vs Texas A&M game at home before I came in and they changed the channel for me without even asking. They even let me sit in an empty barber chair when they finished my haircut so I could watch the end of the game. Great guys, really nice and they do great work. Just went here for the first time. I called ahead and got an appointment with Brian just 2 hours later. Brian hooked me up and gave me what is likely the best cut I've ever gotten. Just moved to Long Beach and for my first time I wanted to get a face shave with a haircut. I called to the shop at 10:30 asking for and appointment at 11:15, was told he could either do 11 or 12:30 and was never asked over the phone what kind of cut I am wanting to get. I then rushed myself and my significant other out the door so we could get there only to leave because he said he couldn't do a shave right now cuz of someone else who was coming in for an hour appointment. So If you already had an appointment for that time he would of been rushing through my haircut within 30 minutes. So I just said I'll come back at 12:30. In the mean time I went out for lunch with my significant other and then returned to the shop with her ten minutes early at 12:20. The customer who had the hour appointment was still there so I waited for a bit longer until he was done, when he left it was my turn to come up, I asked if they take debit card and he said "no but your girl could go down to the atm for you." First of all don't tell my gf what to do. Mind your own business and second of all it's going to be 2017, get a card swiper you can use for your business from your phone at least. I left very unhappy and wasted my time even trying to give this place a try twice in one day. I won't recommend this place to anyone who needs a cut just because of the service not for the quality of cut it could have maybe been. read more

I've had great experiences everytime I get a haircut here. This is one of my go to spots. Service is good, all the barbers are friendly, huge parking lot in the back. As far as my barber, Jimmy does a fantastic job. He already knows how I get my haircut, but still confirms before he starts, which I think is smart to do. I found this barbershop for my dad, thanks to Yelp. He hadn't had a professional haircut in some time. He's in his 80s and is recovering from some devastating health and personal issues, and is also very hard of hearing. So my main concern - even more than a good haircut (which he got!) - was that he be treated kindly. He went by himself and had a very positive experience.
