Terrible. I was prompt in paying and trusting in George and his many years of experience. Only 2 months after reglazing was done it started peeling. After 5 months it looks worse than when we first hired George to do the work. Tried speaking w George multiple times but he refused to take ownership of his work and kept blaming us for allegedly dropping something to cause the damage. Makes zero sense bc its peeling in multiple areas! Very disappointed and will never use this company again, they dont stand by their word or work quality. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! NO CONTRACTORS LICENSE. George, the owner lied to me about the final finish on the tub & kitchen sink. He told me it was a beautiful job. My contractor who was working on the house found that the finish felt like sand!! And he could see the previous chips that were covered up and there were globs of the product stuck to the top rim of the tub. I called George and told him about this, he said that that was exactly how the finish was supposed to be and it was a beautiful job. He refused to come back out even to look at it and/or redo it and when I asked for a refund, he refused. I had two other companies come and look and I have to now pay another $800 to have both sink and tub redone correctly - 3 coats of epoxy and 3 coats of polyurethane. Both companies who looked at redoing this job told me that he had only put 1 coat of product on and they could also see through it to the chips he covered up and definitely felt and could see the "sand" like bumps. I have reported him to the Better Business Bureau as well as Yelp. He is a smooth talker but DO NOT believe him. read more

Originally, another refinishing company gave us a quote but when they came to our home to do the work, they told us they couldn't do the job for 40 days because we recently painted a week prior and he didn't have tape that could stick to the walls strong enough to hold up the plastic and paper needed to protect against overspray. I'll leave their name and my opinion about them anonymous in this review. A realtor referred A+ to me and my wife and said they did a great job for her so we decided to give them a try. Two guys came out to our home exactly when they said they would, they did exactly what they said they would, they did it for the price they originally quoted and were fast and clean. The week old paint was no problem for them. I had them re-glaze our cast-iron tube, shower tile, countertop and sink. From the pictures, you can tell they did a great job. After watching them work, I'm so glad I didn't try it myself or have someone else do it. It's a pretty tedious and messy job, that requires precision. Overall, I would recommend A+ for any refinishing project. read more

So this guy George is a total scammer Mr. George. He quoted me $390 To reglaze the tub. When he got here he tried to resell me he wanted to remodel completely both of my bathrooms! Are you freaking kidding me!! I just want these old reglazed. Then he talked me out of reglazing them and just to clean them up. Well my quote went from 390 to $450! I should have told him to forget it and just to leave but I let him do one of the tub's. It took him about two hours to clean it and re-grout around the tub. He managed to rip the soap holder out of the wall and then told me he wasn't going to put it back in unless I paid him another $50! You have got to be freaking kidding me this guy George is just a scammer unprofessional and quite honestly DONT USE HIM UNLESS YOU REALLY WANT TO GET PISSED OFF. Needless to say I am looking for someone else to do the second tub. read more

George and an assistant came out 6 months ago and refinished our tub, which was seemingly beyond repair. The job included the finish and all caulking, and they even fixed our dripping faucet! After 6 months, I can say that everything is holding up fabulously. George was easy to work with. These guys do good work - highly recommended. read more

I used George a year ago and thought he did a good job so I kept his contact info. This year I had him come out to do a bathtub refinishing and after 2 months there were spots on the surface and rough spots all over. I had paid him $450 by zelle. George had given me a 15 year guarantee but on discoloration only. When I called him, he said that it was the tenant's fault that she used hair dye. I told him that my tenant doesn't dye her hair. He reluctantly agreed to come out to look at it. When he did, he said it was not his fault. I asked what I could do and he said that if I got a reputable refinisher to look at it and say it was not done correctly then he would refinish it. I had a reputable refinisher tell me it needed to be redone and I texted him the estimate and evaluation. George refused to answer several phone calls. I even called his wife whose # I had when I zelled her payment and she said George would get back to me. I told her I would pursue this legally if I didn't hear back from him. This guy will quote you low not including the obvious like recocking your bathtub when he knows that it must be stripped and recocked. Then will try and charge more and pretend like he'll give you a discount for paying cash. He couldn't even guarantee the higher price that he quoted me after being in front of the tub and looking at it. No thanks. Don't believe his comment. Sure I was late 20 mins since it's a rental property and I caught traffic from where I live but price went up almost double after he showed up at my place. Went from $375 to "maybe $700" if I payed cash. I don't work with maybe quotes. If your standing in front of the tub. Disappointing results. Looked good just for a few weeks only! Customer service is terrible!!!

I am thoroughly disgusted and disappointed in my experience with this company. George does not follow up timely to emails and not once did he reach out by phone to discuss my project with me. I also asked him to provide me with a written quote or invoice for the work and his response was I will give you something on the day of the work. He also insisted on being paid in cash. That right there was a red flag and and made me uncomfortable doing business with him. Last straw in dealing with him was today when he told me he gave my time slot to someone else. If this is how he runs his business I have to wonder about the quality of his work product. George is unprofessional and lacks follow through. I first reached out to George for a quote and I was given very simple quote "Hello, I can refinish the tub inside only for $475.00. We will be stripping, sanding, masking, primer and refinishing. If you want to refinish the outside too it will be an additional $475.00." Never did he ask me the condition of the tub or the size of the tub. I live out of state so I scheduled a time for him to go to the rental unit. My tenant said that the day of appointment, George showed up and said it was too big a job and that he couldn't find parking, then just left! Our tub is a smaller than a regular tub size! This is a warning for refinishing your bathtub. I would not do it. Buy a new one as the work is not warranted and will not last even hold up a year. Had the job done in Jan 2018 and paid $375. The owner was nice and I thought did a good job but I noticed the whole side of tub is now peeling and the owner George will not take responsibility and says it needs to be refinished again. Why would anyone hire this company if the work cannot even handle a year of usage and this has nothing to do with us chipping the tub, The side is now peeling which can only be a result of the work done by A+ refinishing. George will not help me (basically blew me off when I called) and I wasted $375.00. It is better to just get a new tub, don't bother refinishing unless you get a better warranty on the work. It was my first time buying an apartment and needless to say, it NEEDED a lot of work done. That is when I found George! He, and his team are extremely professional, shows up on time, and exceeded all my expectations with his superior work. He is very detailed in his work and is always straight up with his prices and is very reasonable. He is very professional and was always willing to answer any questions I had about the apartment since it was my first time fixing a property. He even fixed a problem for me that was caused by another company! I was upset with another job, but George identified the problem for me and took it upon himself to help me with a kitchen countertop because he saw I was not happy with it. George came to assess our bathtub, floor tile, and kitchen counter tile. The kitchen counter tile needed regrouting. He and his worker scraped the old grout down, but left gouges in our newly refinished cabinet drawers and doors with new hardware. He did not pull out the drawers before he began or cover the bottom cabinet doors. Masking tape (not painters tape) was used at the top of the drawers. There was dust into the hardware from the scraping. We showed him the damage the following day. He offered to refinish our custom cabinetry, but we declined as we have an excellent cabinet maker who did our refinishing this past spring. We dismissed him on the spot and have procured another professional to complete the job. read more

In the middle of the job he saw that our wood was rotted behind the shower and needing replacing, which he also did for at a reasonable price. George answered the phone right away!! Amazing, some one answers the phone at all in LA ; ). And came when he said he would, on time. The work was done quickly and efficiently and the bathroom looks better than expected. He did extra work because my cat walked on the wet tub - the foot prints were not a good look - but George took care of it when he came back to install a new bath plug because the old one was totally shot. He went above and beyond. I did some extra work on top of the original work quote (~400) but it was still relatively affordable. my roommates and I live in an old apartment from the 70's so you can just imagine how chipped and moldy the sink and bathtub and the bathroom just in general was. we're girls and hygiene is important!! i had complained about it to our landlord and he gave us George's number. we called, we spoke, he came and he conquered! My bathtub and sink were chipping and molding due to my apartments poorly staffed repair crew. I couldn't deal with them anymore so I based on a referral from my sister I called them to give me a quote. Within a week my bathtub is like brand new. With a very old tub and tenants not wanting to rent my property without a fix, I got several quotes until I chose to work with A Plus and here is what I found in working with them: 1. Their quote was up to 40% less than competitive quotes 2. George is a stellar service professional - on time, on budget, beautiful work. 3. After George left, we somehow managed to drop a tool onto the newly glazed tub and scratched it. I imagined another service fee if he came back out, but was delighted to learn he'd come back and polish it away at no expense to me. He was honest with us about what needed done and where we could save some cash & time, and though we had him also refinish our tub & shower while he was working with us, he did a fantastic job across the board on everything we needed. He finished our drywall in 3 rooms, redid tiling in the bathroom, installed a new vanity, put our new closet system in, got us a guy to do our hardwood flooring for a good price and supervised that really well, repainted walls, installed lighting, and more... and he was super reliable, prompt and easy to communicate with on quotes and details. Our bathtub had many cracks (marble tub) so water leaked to our living room ceiling. At first we tried to change the bathtub, but the cost was too high than we expected. Because our bath tub was bigger than standard size. We did not know what to do, So we did not use it for a long period time and instead we were using other small bathroom. But when the other bathroom had some plumbing problem, our friend came over and fixed it. And we showed our main bathroom and he suggested to do refinishing the tub. We did not know about refinishing at all until then, and we felt that we can not postpone to fix it anymore. So we googled and contacted George. He did everything: demolished the old tiles, removed the tub, repaired damage woodwork, adjusted the plumbing, framed out the new shower and installed and grouted the new tiles. Looks great! We had our bathtub refinished by George a day ago and I have to say it looks great. It looks like a completely different tub. George not only refinished our tub he also removed a previous finish done by an unqualified refinisher. George got rid of a horrible job done by someone else. He stripped all the old junk, sanded it and refinished it beautifully. I'm really please with his and his nephew's work. Arrived right on time and after looking at the discoloration in my tub he suggested trying to polish out the stain (since it wasn't from rust) instead of going through the expense of refinishing. Well, he gave it a try, and that worked! So, that saved me a good chunk of money, and it looks great! I told him I had a similar problem in my kitchen sink, and he was able to polish that out as well...for no extra charge!
