Bob is incredible. I just bought a new house and needed my locks rekeyed. I had 5 locks and Bob quoted me at a very reasonable price. He changed the locks really quick and like a pro! He walked me through it and made sure I tested the locks after he changed them out to make sure they worked. Knowing that I had just bought the home, he also offered to help change my garage remote controllers and the garage code. He even walked me through how to change/reset the garage remotes so that I can do it myself next time. When it came to paying, I gave extra for tip and he would not accept it! That says a lot. He is truly appreciative of his service and is such an affable person all around, no doubt. He is very personable. I feel like I connected with him on so many levels! He was so easy to talk to and he made me very comfortable with his work and his service. As he left, he made me feel like he became a friend assuring me to let him know if I ever need anything else or if I have any questions. I saved him in my phone right away as he left for all my future locksmith needs. Seconds later, Bob was calling me! He said he noticed there's a mailbox and asked if I would like to have that lock changed too. He really took care of me, making sure that all my locks were changed. I tried to give him some money for changing the mailbox lock, but he would not take it. He even tried to get in the car quick to leave when I went in to get some money. He is something else! He also mentioned that he works in the army, so he travels quite often, and when he is out of town, he has an assistant that helps him take calls and sometimes work. But this assistant isn't very reliable and as engaged as he would like, which in return, dings his business. So make sure you are asking for Bob! And be understandable if you happen to get in contact with someone else other than Bob. Bob is proud of what he does and cares. So...all in all... VERY reasonable price and ask for Bob! We purchased an older home and needed a ton of locks repaired and rekeyed. The big job we wanted done was the fresh install on the old front door. I found Bob's business using YELP, he has a lot of experience so I decided to give him a call. Bob gave us his rates and what to expect via text to my text inquiry. He let me know upfront that the date we were looking at he would be on another job from 12-1pm but he wanted to give himself an hour window before doing our locks. So we planned for between 2-3pm. I knew by what he had told me that he may be hung up on another job seeing that some jobs may take longer. If you are patient he IS SO worth the time and he is super affordable. He is very honest, informative, and kind. He informs you of exactly what he sees going on w/the existing locks if he needs to and he can change out locks and re-key pretty quickly. Bob gets plenty of business so you should prepare for him to run a little over the allotted time b/c like he tells you before the job, he can lose track of the time while he's working in the more complicated locks other clients may run into. I was witness to that w/my complicated fresh install on the older door. He was COMPLETELY focused on that job, instead of his phone, until he was through. Not only did he install a lock on a tough older door, he was able to assist in adjusting, changing out, even swapping out some door knobs/locks that were misplaced around the house, and rekeying the other 3 entry doors after doing all that other stuff they needed done to them. Talk about fast and great service! I had called A Better Cheaper Locksmith around mid October. At the time they did not pick up but I received a call shortly after from A Better Cheaper Locksmith. I told him my situation, my wife and I just purchased a new house and needed some locks replaced. Just like Yelp says, 3 locks re-keyed with 2 keys for only $45. Each lock after is about an extra $20 I believe. The locksmith showed up to my house and rekeyed our entire home in about 15-20 minutes. He was very pleasant and prompt on his service. I have never posted a YELP review but the service I received from Bob was exceptional! He was very knowledgeable about locks and was very thorough in repairing my disassembled front door lock. Plus his fee was lower than others that have quoted. The issue was my old solid handle front door lock was not depress fully so when I tried to open the door, the latch would catch the strike plate. I disassembled the lock trying to repair it myself but I could not reassemble the lock. Bob successfully reassembled the lock, repaired the sticky knob and now the lock works perfectly!!
