Great guys, brought in three touch pad dead bolts, the rekeyed them and made 3 keys with same cut. Quick, and professional

A while back, I went to Home Depot to get copies of keys made for my mailbox, house, car, etc., but they told me I had to go to a Honda Dealership to get a copy of my car key. Today I went to Future Honda and they couldn't just help me over the counter, because their equipment could not read the chip for my 2004 Honda Accord and they said I've have to see one of their mechanic technicians and the cost would be a minimum of $100. I didn't want to wait to see a tech, so they told me to try a locksmith. I went online and didn't want to use a mobile locksmith and saw that Swanson & Sons has been in business for 43 years with great ratings, so I called them, and I went on down. Not only is the staff amazing, they also have a little lock and safe museum, which fascinated my impatient Public Historian daughter while I was getting my key made. Their equipment was able to read the chip in my key, unlike the Honda dealership. These people were awesome and I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone in need of their services. The only downside is that they're only open 8 AM - 5 PM Monday through Friday, which is not good for most working folks. I just happened to have the day off otherwise I would have missed out on the WONDERFUL service, atmosphere, kindness, professionalism, and more. They are so excellent that if indeed, I ever needed a locksmith or another key made for my Honda, I will take a day off JUST to go to them! read more

It doesn't surprise me that I am the first to review this small business. This shop is small, but mighty. I had to have the tumbler from my car's ignition looked at after the key wouldn't turn. Instead of replacing the all the ignition components and getting new laser-cut transponder keys made, I called these guys up. Eileen didn't shy away from the technical nature of the key or the tumbler. She said "Bring it on by, and we'll getcha fixed up!" This was relieving to hear after several other area locksmiths were tooooo busy to help or not familiar with the laser cut keys. The shop is in an iffy part of Del Paso Blvd next to a Pawn Shop, but it was cozy inside. There is a museum of safes and locks in one corner to look over while you wait. It reminded me of the hardware stores I have seen with all the obscure stuff that lines the walls. The staff was super friendly and VERY knowledgeable. Eileen had my key fixed and the cost was super low compared to the car parts!! read more

Decades ago I bought a house, the locks were changed, 3 months later a group of adult supervised teens broke in. In desperation, I went to this shop in Del Paso Heights. One of the best businesses I have ever worked with. They discussed strengthening the door frame with a large metal plate, and longer locks. I found the door knobs with extra long lock throws I wanted and had them come back t rekey. They delivered the fireproof house safe (used comercial grade with new locking system. 5 years ago someone spent 10 minutes (Sherrif Dept Estimate) hacking at my door and frame trying to get in. Niet I did have to replace the door and frame. The sheriff's dept spent 15 min trying to get me back into my house. Thanks for the advice from these guys, my home is secure. We're others worry about using only the blank keys they have, because it'll mess up they're machine. Swanson's take on any job without fail. Fantastic service. They have the biggest selection of keys and locks in the area. Unlike Home Depot or WalMart that use a random machine with only a few major key blanks to make a copy of your unusual cabinet key, they look like they've got thousands. Prices are the same as the big box stores. Customer service was fast, and anything related to locks appear like this place could do it. I will be back again in the future. This place is great. Had a problem with the lock on my front door not staying locked. It would lock, but came open if you jiggled the doorknob even slightly.
