This is such a great place to park RV with nice pull thru paved spaces. We stayed working there from December to May, longer than expected! I can't say enough thank you's for the staff there that works at the park to make it such an amazing place for traveling people!

We loved this park. After a few rotten apple campgrounds this RV park was a blessing. Clean, quite and friendly park with an even blend of long term and temporary RV's. I have made this site my comeback site each time I come back through California.

Most recent stay was 4-27-16 [I'm late in writing my review] 1st impression says WOW! All large wide concrete pads with non-moveable picnic table for (2) only 2 [very tiny] cable tv full hook ups - definitely a Big Boys RV Park. We camp in a "Tear Drop" style RV only 15' long and we looked dwarfed next to the big boys. We are w/o toilet or shower and thus rely on condition of campgrounds facilities and being nearby our site ~ so our critique is focused in that area. Got a spot 3 sites from restrooms all heated which were very nice with tiled walls and floors; appearing to newer - maybe last 5 years or so with 2 large stalls ~ sink vanity area is roomy giving entire facility a 5 star rating. Sure would have been nice and more convenient if it had shelves and hooks in shower and sink area for your stuff. CONS: Picnic table too small and not movable - need grassy strip between sites so we could set up our dinning fly - didn't see any tents set up - not a recreational park no activities PROS: Excellent restrooms - large cement pads - sparkling pool - park with locking gate at night after 7:00 access with code - great for big rigs and perfect overnight stop for little RV's like us

Hospitality/Staff: 5 stars. They do everything they can to accommodate you. We had a monthly site. Tree branch blocked our awning from coming out. Tree branch gone! This has got to be one if not the quietest parks we have stayed at. My parents even stayed here 15 years ago. There are full timers but I guarantee you, you can barely detect them. The park management makes sure all our sites are tidy and not a lot of garbage around. I've been to RV parks where it looks like the ghetto with full timers. Not here. Everyone is courteous and nice. Price: The BEST! $400 a month plus electricity. There are cheaper ones but good luck, you'll wish you had come here. We love the pool and spa and get this, hardly anyone uses them. Feel like I have my own pool and spa. I thought being 6 miles out of downtown Bakersfield was too far but after 2 weeks, I like it. We have stayed at other parks in town but have now found our go to park in Bakersfield. Passport America: We have it. Desert Palms across the Highway honors it with $15 a night. We drove by it and looked around. Better have some Second Amendment rights to protect yourself. You will not be disappointed in this park. 4Stars? I got one of the sites that has not been converted over to full concrete sites.

Nice RV park. Most all pull throughs. Long but narrow spaces. Park is well kept. Right off the 58. Very handy. Just passing through, staying one night. With good sam $30. Beware, we got up 5am. Went outside to sit, have coffee. 5:30 am. Sprinklers came on. Got shower. Sprinkler next to truck(drivers side) was broke. Truck got wash job. Trials & tribulations of RVing full time. LOL ! Would stay here again, but only for 1night passing thru.

So we took 3 years off and went to another park on our way to AZ. This year we returned, just to give it a second chance. Went much better. But still feel like they have room for some customer service improvement. We arrived at 12:15... they close for 1hr for lunch at noon , and the door is not opened until 1:00. That was unexpected, but fine. Then they arrive and not over welcoming... no "welcome", "sorry for the wait", just an "how can I help you?" No longer do the offer orange picking sticks , and clearly state all rules in big bold letters. Just wish it was more like early visits we enjoyed at this park. Simply more welcoming . The groves are wonderful, the landscaping and plants are over the top beautiful. Sadly the vibe is not "welcome to our park"

Our site (65ft) was clean, spacious, well equipped, and provided us a great view of the orange grove nearby. Noise from hwy58 and occasional train was not an issue for us. The restroom-shower facilities were exceptionally clean and well kept! I had to compliment the caretaker gentleman directly for this. Our pet also enjoyed the pet area. Walking, biking path provided us great way to include a little exercise. This will definitely be our location stay for future visits with our son.

This is going to be the most honest and thoughtful review one person can make. I came here 3 months…read moreago not knowing anything about Bakersfield or this RV park. I was in a bind and the price attracted me. I've stayed at many rv parks mostly KOA but never long term. First off this is on the east side of town, so once it gets dark there's no lights on. Management requested 2 months security deposit saying my credit was bad so I gave it to them thinking I would get it back. Everything here is done by money orders something very primitive last time I used one was 30yrs ago I didn't know they still existed. During my stay I'm informed by a employee there that manager steals people's rents and she recorded Donna and she got fired. This place is filled with thieves. The hotel next doors review are all about people breaking into their cars and rooms. Behind the rv park is a homeless encampment and they constantly scour the park to break into rv, cars, storage you name it. No one does anything. They charge you $45/mth for water you can't drink it causes cancer, so if your pet drinks it they will have diarrhea something no one tells you. The place is filled with dog poop everywhere no one cleans after their dogs let alone keeping them on a leash. The tenants are decent some nice but everyone is there because this is the last resort. Orange park rv is far nicer actually any other park is better than here. Now to my security deposit, you have to give them a 30 day notice in writing so I did, they have 21 days by law and they make sure they take their sweet time. I called every other day and the manager made it sound like I'm a nuisance, well If an employee tells you that management is stealing rent money orders from tenants you would be concerned as well. Turns out my security deposit was returned $200 short. I paid $950 they gave me back $750. So if you're thinking about staying here because you don't have money, rv is old or whatever the reason, make sure you can deal with what I wrote in detail. Because they'll be nice to get you in then brush you off once they got you. I had to fight for my deposit back and they still stole $200. There's 100 spots there so if they do this to 20 people a month that's 4k someone is making per month on top of whatever else they steal. Very lucrative thieves here. In fact i I emailed every top employee of BoaVida Communities to get an answer and seems as if they buy and sell these parks using investors money. This place used to be nice, same rv in the pic from 10-20yrs ago are still there it's like a twilight zone. Right next to a freeway, my neighbors car was stolen as she was doing her laundry. At night it's super dark, it's far away from everything decent. You can't walk around without garbage, poop and glass everywhere or homeless people walking up to you. Always on guard to make sure no one steals anything. Then to be worried your rent is gonna get stolen. The girl that worked there got fired for reporting the theft issue now my security deposit got $200 stolen. They know that no one can do much so they take advantage of people, they haven't met karma yet. One day someone will come and throw some acid in their face maybe that will be a reality call for these thieves who prey on the poor. If you don't believe me look at the review for the hotel next door it's called WoodSpring Suites. The homeless live behind that hotel and this rv park. Talk about living in hell. Soon someone will take someone's life for being thieves. I almost got to that point, when you're poor and have cancer you have nothing to lose but everything to gain. Karma is coming for these crooks

There is running water from a faucet at the camp spot , toilets and hot showers . And they do keep it clean and provide toilet paper . Now, if you are part of a big group of campers you might want to get a site that's further out of the camp site near the river or the fields because of noise. If you are loud enough, your neighbors will hear you or you will hear them and can cause problems between camps especially during quiet time. Respect the quiet time which is at 10pm. My camp is loud, we play music and clown around and have good fun, and sometimes it might bother other campers, so I would book a site near the ends of the camp site where there are no campers behind you . Other than that, this is a really great place to camp . There is a convenient store a mile away but everything there is overpriced but convenient. The Ranger was nice when I had a minor issue. The hours of the Rangers office are only till 5 PM I think. Why only 3 Stars? My experience at this campground was not as expected. - There was a group who decided to make the campground one big party and were blasting their music for the whole campground to hear. Many times they would ride around the loop blasting their music for everyone to hear as well. I guess they thought it was cool. They weren't young by any means. They were on scooters too, so not like they were trying to get exercise out of it. - Many folks decided it was alright to drive the wrong way around the loop, despite there being large signs that say "WRONG WAY, DO NOT ENTER". - I had many folks hanging out in my campsite since it was next to the water. I guess they either don't know of campground etiquette or don't care. I always thought you "don't" walk through someone else's campsite.
