He explained things thoroughly. And I now have surge protectors to prevent this from happening again. He even offered to bring me a window ac but it wasn't necessary because he was here early the next morning and had it up and running and let me know about how long it would take. I had called Action Heating and Air for my furnace service and found them to be dependable and professional, so I figured I would give them another try. I booked an appointment a few days out and Rick showed up... on time and ready to tackle the a/c inspection. He did brief me on what he would be doing and then quickly got to work (no rush as it was not hot, well not yet anyway). He did his inspection and cleaning of the unit briefing me along the way as to his findings. Once done, he cleaned up the work area and presented me with a very reasonable bill of service. Rick was extremely professional and friendly at all times during the service visit. I would not hesitate on calling Action Heating and Air again for future services (like in November for the furnace service). Thanks again Rick!

Zack explained that this might work or it might not and I explained that we will be selling this house in the spring so I really didn't want to invest in a new furnace unless I had to. Next day Jordan arrived with the part and he installed it and with my fingers crossed we turned it on and it worked!!! YEA!! When I called, they sent a technician who told me the repair would be covered under warranty and that I wouldn't be charged. However, after the repair, the unit broke down again less than a year later. When I contacted the company this time, they refused to come out unless I first paid an outstanding bill of $1,200--something I was never expecting based on what I had been told previously. When I asked why I was being charged, the representative explained that the warranty only covered the first year, and since the initial breakdown happened after 13 months, I had been billed for that repair. I then questioned how a $1,200 repair could be justified when the unit failed again so quickly afterward. The rep simply said this was "standard" in his experience, and "just the way it is". Overall, this has been extremely frustrating and disappointing. I paid a significant amount for a new system, yet I've already dealt with multiple breakdowns and unexpected charges. Not what I would expect from a professional HVAC company.

That company inspected our system and confirmed the need to replace it. As we researched further, we discovered that the other guys had very spotty Yelp reviews, so we decided to go with Rechtin instead. Their sales rep Scott was great! He was a former technician so he knew the details of each system very well. He was as honest a guy as you would ever want to meet. Not only did he not try to upsell us on a more expensive unit, he emphasized that the intro level system was very suitable for our house and steered us away from higher priced options because the extra features and efficiency didn't justify the price difference for our needs. As it turned out, our furnace conked out around this time, so Rechtin got a tech out to us quickly to get our old system running until the new one could be installed. The installation took two days, and the team was superbly skilled and courteous. The price of the work was not just fair, but very competitive. These guys took great care of our needs at a good price, and they were responsive when we needed them. What's not to love?

Customer service was absolutely fantastic and Tyler W. was accommodating and gave us clear explanations as to what was wrong. We received a text message with a picture of the employees so we knew who to expect and what they looked like. Arlinghaus has to send another worker out to discuss prices on a new furnace. Tyler was able to get our furnace working temporarily as we look into buying a new furnace. It cost $89 for him to come out and diagnose the problem. They will remove this from any extra work they may need to do. Unfortunately, in the end we could not afford even the lowest option they had for a furnace. They use a top furnace line brand and are more expensive then the national average. This was the only draw back for me that it was to expensive and I did not want to enter into a loan for a $7,000 furnace when the average homeowners pay is $3100. Regardless, they were transparent and did not pressure me into anything we didn't want to do. I highly recommend Arlinghaus for their professionalism and honesty with their customers.

Needless to say, their repair hasn't held. The pvc piping they installed won't even stay together. It only held for a few months and then just came apart-- leaving us with having to have a bucket beneath the sink. I'm just frustrated enough to write this updated review now because I have to pay to have another plumber come out to fix their work. These people are predatory and unprofessional. Would not recommend. What would've been nice is if the owner of this plumbing company saw the invoice number on my receipt in the last post and tried to reach out-- but he didn't. Instead he implied that we didn't even have his company service my mother's home. Having integrity in your business -- owning a job and its result means something.

The overnight temps were below zero, the water supply is on the outside wall = frozen pipes. I called a number of local plumbers, and no one had anyone that could get to me quickly. Tarvin initially told me I would have to be a work in, understandably, I was not the first call for frozen pipes! Maybe 20 mins later, I received a call back from Tarvin and they told me a tech could meet me at my house in 45 mins. When the tech arrived (cannot remember his name), he told me they pulled him from his office duties for the day to take care of my issue. He was polite, friendly and got right to work. Within 15 mins he had the frozen line thawed, with no apparent leaks (fingers crossed). Polite, professional and reasonably priced. They also recommended a permanent fix for the freezing issue. On the phone they took an estimate of the area and number of rooms to shampoo and provided a $ amount based on that. 1 week before the scheduled date I had to call and ask to do the job sooner since there was a change in our relocation plan. They worked with us and gave us an earlier date. They also agreed to enter the house using a lock box since we wouldn't be there yet. The technician called me about 30 mins before getting to the house to let me know they were on the way. The place looked clean and detailed when we got to the house 2 days later. We will certainly use them again in the future!

Julio from Premier Painting called me the same day I reached out, followed up by phone on day two, and showed up in person on day three with an estimate. That alone told me everything I needed to know about how he operates. The scope of work was substantial. He pressure washed the entire exterior, sanded and painted, repaired a window with broken trim, and patched concrete under the porch. The before and after photos say the rest. The transformation is genuinely dramatic. A few things stood out beyond the work itself. Julio refused any kind of prepayment and told me I could pay when the job was done. He was on site the day he said he'd be there, and the day after. The final bill matched the estimate exactly. If you're looking for exterior painting or pressure washing and you want someone who actually shows up, responds fast, and does what they say they'll do, call Julio.
