This place was okay. I understand that CB has limited restaurants and I was excited for a smoothie. The smoothie definitely was okay, at best for $11. It was thin and the flavor was okay. There were minimal add in options. The other thing that I was not a fan of was that many of the smoothies had juice as an ingredient. I like smoothies made with Whole Foods. Preferably the whole fruit versus juice then you're losing the fiber. They do not have a vegan protein add in option. The menu in the location had less than was shown online. Local and organic when they can be, the place has a laidback, hippie vibe and I mean that in the best possible way. I had the Honeycutt sandwich and it was terrific. My partner has the grilled cheese with tomato pesto and pronounced it "crispy and cheesy, as promised. The pesto added good flavor and a nice tang." A small amount of outdoor seating in front of the restaurant allows for excellent people watching. Service was quick and friendly. Only point off was that both our sandwiches were supposed to come on sourdough bread, but they were out and substituted rye instead. Not a catastrophe but not the same as a good sourdough. read more

Lots of smoothie options and sandwiches. We ordered the chicken sandwich and the salad and both were so yummy. The chicken sandwich came with corn chips and they definitely made that fresh. We also ordered the blueberry muffin and it was so fresh and great with the crumble on top. Causal seating and very friendly staff. Would not get the chai. Asked for a chai latte and not sure if she didn't hear correctly but made the latte with water and it tasted like medicine. Wasn't able to get it fixed since I left town. CanNOT say enough good things about this cute little place. My mom and I were about to leave town but wanted smoothies so we stopped in. Very cute and cozy inside. Love the vibe here, it's very relaxed and unpretentious. I wish I would have gotten the tall guy's name who helped us at the main counter. He was not only hilarious but we had a nice chat as well about Crested Butte and the seasons. My mom and I both got smoothies that were honestly...incredible. I don't think I've ever used that word when talking about a smoothie but yeh it was just downright delicious. I wish it wasn't a four hour drive from me...I'd be here every week! Crested Butte has a lot of cafes for such a small place and they all have something nice to offer. For me this was the one I felt least moved to spend time in and so I only visited once but my friend liked it the most and visited daily. The bulletin board of local flyers was fun to read and made it clear this place is rooted in the local community. They have a small space for musical performances and a large space for seating. However, they don't have Wi-Fi and so it didn't seem like a space which welcomed laptop workers. They only had one non-coffee late option which was a mediocre chai. read more

My boyfriend got a cold brew which the filled the the brim with ice and was unfairly priced/did not taste like a good cold brew. So I would not recommend that. I want to start by saying that the service was fantastic. The two women who took our orders and prepared our food couldn't have been more welcoming and kind, as was my experience in most CB establishments. However, the food here was very disappointing. This is pretty much the only spot in Crested Butte where one can enjoy healthy salads, sandwiches, and smoothies, so we were excited to try it. We ordered the salad of the day, a chicken sandwich, and the "purple haze" and "dancing queen" smoothies. To start, the smoothies were lukewarm (even fresh out of the blender) so neither smoothie was very refreshing. They were both very bland despite the claim that they contained several fruits and protein powder- made me question the quality/source of the fruit. So too, these 12 oz smoothies were $11 apiece- I wouldn't mind paying if it was a high quality smoothie (such as those produced by the "clean juice" chain) but this felt like a scam! The chicken on both the sandwich and the salad was rubbery, clearly straight from a package, and the veggies on the salad were not at all fresh. I am sad writing this review, but other travelers should be aware of the food quality since this place is so expensive! There is definitely a market for health food restaurants in CB given the recent uptick in wealthy landowners there- I hope this establishment can be more successful in the future by sourcing their products from the local farmers market or another trusted source. Fresh juice, a variety of smoothies, coffee drinks and deserts, sandwiches, and salads! oh my! we were going to go a local pizza shop we had been told was fantastic. They were not open yet, but the owner who is also vegan recommended this shop and it did not disappoint! A plethora of choices! Fair prices! lovely atmosphere! I ordered a salad and a smoothie and just loved it! my friend ordered a reuben sandwich and she also thought it was fantastic! The staff was friendly and patient. It took us awhile to decide what we wanted. The food was prepared quickly and brought out to the table. There were only a handful of folks in there and we were able to have some great conversation while we ate our lunch! I will definitely come back here when in the area again! I had quite the bad experience here. My wife and I went there for breakfast while waiting to meet some friends. We ordered breakfast and coffee and sat down. I opened my laptop to do some work while we waited for the food. A staff member came over (presumably the manager or proprietor) and asked if she could help me with anything. I said, "no, but thank you." Without skipping a beat she said, "This is not an internet cafe. People eat things here and pay for them." I was totally caught off guard and told her that we had already ordered (and paid for) something and were just waiting for it. She said, "oh, ok" and immediately walked away.
