I dropped them off for a behavioral assessment the first time and my pit mix failed, as she has an aggressive play style. We have been working for months to teach her to play better with all dogs and have socialized her a lot more since then. I brought both of them back for another assessment, explained to them they need a little time to acclimate to the new area and new dogs. Within NINE MINUTES, they called me to come pick her up and said she failed again. There was absolutely no effort on their part to try to give her a chance and acclimate and no knowledge of how dogs interact. If they had given her at least 30 minutes even, I would have been ok with the outcome but 9 minutes isn't enough to tell anything about a dog or their behavior in a new environment. It seemed as though they had a problem with her being a pitbull and saw her as a threat. I also watched the live cam at their Greenville location and they are completely overcrowded with way too many dogs in each bay. Will not recommend this place to anyone.

The staff is excellent and the daycare is well priced for the amount of interactions and oversight the staff gives the pups. I am able to watch my dog from their cameras at work and she has a blast. We love Happy Pup! Our pups have stayed there twice -- once for 10 days and another time for 6…read moredays. Lisa, one of the owners, is great at communicating both before and during our pups' stay. She's also great at meeting my husband and I and asking if we need help the moment we arrive. The indoor/outdoor shelter where our pups stay protects them from the elements and provides each of them with their own individual space. They are also given a long walk daily and provided a large area to play together. Every day, they are fed and given their medicine as prescribed. Our pups receive lots of attention and are happy to stay. Next time we need dog boarding services, we will return to Happy Pup.

My older dog had his own safe area. That fellow is an escape artist in storms, but Michele was alert to his nervous behavior and looked after him. You just feel like the dogs are minded well and loved. We will return. Our dogs seemed happy and not at all eager to leave their canine camp-out! From…read morethe first day K-9 Meadows opened, I have intrusted my very dear Lexi (9-year-old chocolate lab) to their care. And now, Finn, our 4-month-old chocolate lab(fondly referred to Satan"s Spawn) has joined Lexi at doggy daycare. Although I have hired a trainer, the staff has taken it upon themselves to reinforce his training during his stay. What a difference! I have personally gotten to know the entire staff and I can say, without a doubt, they are the nicest and most competent people to oversee the care and well-being of their charges. Devin is an exceptional groomer. She treats every dog with special care and attention. Jay and his staff are ever ready to play with each individual dog. Each new dog is carefully screened for temperment and how they may interact with other dogs. Based on each assessment, each animal is paired with other dogs of like temperment, age and size. In addition, each dog enjoys its own huge run with temperature controlled indoor accomodations. I particularly like the large, natural grass play area. Every time I go to pick them up, one of the staff is actively playing with a resident one-on-one or no more than 2 or 3 other pups at the same time. This is individual, special care! I hope who ever reads this will visit Devin, Jay or one of the special staff members and see for themselves why K-9 Meadows is head-and-shoulders above the rest!

Summary: My dog was attacked by another dog during her stay…read more My puppy (6 months) is super social and has never met a stranger. I took her to camp bow wow for what was supposed to be a 2 night boarding stay. An hour after I dropped her off I received a call from the manager saying that she has been bitten by another dog and was bleeding but the injuries seemed minor. I requested he send me pictures and authorized him to take her to the vet. The pictures did not show the wound in its entirety (she is quite wiggly but I still think good pictures could have been taken). The picture showed two bites that punctured through the skin, whereas she had three bites that punctured through the skin, and two more that left decent marks but didn't break the skin. The manager took her to the vet (he attempted to take her to our current vet but they were full for the day). The vet called me to explain the depth of the injuries and what all needed done. In the end her injuries were not superficial like the manager led me to believe but needed staples. (The manager isn't a medical professional so he gave his best guess I assume) I didn't feel my puppy was safe there so I decided to pick her up a day early. When I picked her up her bed was soiled which leads me to believe she wasn't taken out. The cone the vet gave her was cracked when I got her, and they had the cracked cone on her like it wasn't a problem or a hazard. Luckily I had an inflatable recovery collar on hand in prep for her getting spayed. I do appreciate the way it was handled (they took her to the vet, covered the cost, and made her boarding stay free.) However, I don't feel that the dogs were being properly watched, otherwise this wouldn't have happened.

He always checks whether she will do ok with other dogs. He would give her a private place if she ever needs to be alone. I don't need to worry about her getting her medicine, either. She sees it all as a vacation. When I pick her up, he always gives a complete report about anything he has noticed about her health or behavior. She gets such personal care.

We recently moved to Florida and miss Gary deeply. He was such an important part of our lives while we were living in Greenville! I found him from a simple Google search and felt that he was our angel while we were in town. He always made time to take care of Blue, even when I reached out last minute. Gary would often send him home with presents, outfits, and other little treats. I never saw my dog as excited as when we were arriving in Gary's driveway! Over the two years we were in Greenville, our dog became more elderly and required significantly more care, including frequent medications. Gary never faltered or complained and took care of Blue like he was his own. He doted over our dog and they truly had the most special relationship. I would trust Gary with any and all of my babies, I wish he would have moved with us! We will always think of Gary and his love for Blue when we remember our time in Greenville.
