I was not expecting to see bad reviews for this company on yelp, A. duie pyle Shipping company is the best shipping company experience we have had through out our renovation. We ordered a large item from Build.com and Build used this company to ship the item via freight to our building in NYC. Well... not only were they 99% responsive to phone calls (unlike every single other freight company we've had to deal with) But they delivered the item on the day they promised... a little later then expected but still. And the guy who made the delivery got the item out of the truck himself ( we have had 3-4 drivers from other companies ask for my husband to climb into the back of the truck to help with no gloves or work boots like they were wearing) ... not this guy! He managed to get everything out and ready for us to sign the paper and continue on with our day on his own. I know its odd to be impressed by that but considering all the other companies this was a refreshing change. Honestly I wish I remembered this guys name to give him a shout out for being so efficient and quick. Overall if you have a choice, go with this company - they actually pick up the phone when you call, have real time updates online and are polite and professional. And this applies to the drivers as well. I don't know if we just got lucky or if things have changed in the company since all these last reviews but we are very happy with the service. read more

The truck driver lied 2 consecutive days about trying to do a pick up. The company claimed they could not do the pick up due to numbers not matching on the forms so we called the dock and turns out they never showed up on either day. They just straight up lied. This has screwed up our own business since we relied on the pick up for our inputs. Rebranding suggestion: A Dumb Pyle of Lying Sh*t. Avoid this company because they don't care at all about their customers or their customer's business. read more

first, my driver Lindsey was excellent but customer service leading up to the delivery was horrible. First I was told they delivered my package, even gave me the date but it never was and low and behold it was a system "glitch" Spoke to Stephanie who told me that I had to meet the truck at the road and haul my package up my driveway myself (my residence is commercial as well with a driveway for tri-axles but that did not matter to them ), but Stephanie failed to schedule the delvery. Next day called because no package again and Sena said I did not have to meet the truck at the road and scheduled my delivery - it never showed and no record that she even scheduled it. Called the next day and tried to schedule delivery to my office and they tried to charge an extra $100 to my card even tho my office was closer (never told me there was a charge to change delivery addresses) It never showed. took a half day, again - packaged never showed. CAlled and spoke to Renee who couldn't help me, finally got John (from West Chester, PA) and he lied and lied. My shipment was cancelled the previous day but he couldn't tell me why. He also said that i had to meet the truck on the road and get my 60lb package myself. Also confimed my phone number for text alerts, and my driver would call me with an ETA, etc and John never added my phone number to the order. He would not give me his last name (he was the worst of them all) nor would he give me his manager. John told me to send an email to customer service. Needless to say thank heavens I had security camaras so that I could see the truck at my house so I could leave work .Again, my driver was wonderful - customer service is horrible and the company I ordered the freight from will NEVER use them again. I work for a small business as the office manager. We receive deliveries for our distributor frequently usually from R & L. This was the first and last time from A Duie Pyle. Been waiting over a week everytime I call I'm told about a new problem they are having i.e. system updates, late getting the shipment to the warehouse. They never call or email to inform you that they won't be delivering your shipment when scheduled. When you call you will be on hold for at least 10 minutes. Save yourself the headache and go with R&L. read more

This is the most horrendous freight delivery company to ever exist. I ordered 8000 pounds of freight. Driver shoes up and puts one pallet in the middle of my driveway, it weighs 3200 pounds, car can't fit so I asked driver to move it either side. His answer no its too heavy. I said I have a guy on my street that is more then capable of moving this with you. His respone no. He then takes 2nd pallet off and leaves it in the street blocking my mailbox and my driveway. I said get that out of the street. His response no. Too heavy. You have a sidewalk lip, can't move it. You moved the other one, no answer. He got in his truck and left. I called customer service, they could care less. I called the company I ordered from in Chicago, I am in Mass, President of the ordering company calls me and provides an immefiate refund. This lying ass company called my husband on Monday and told him he had to be at home on Wednesday between 1-5 to sign for a delivery. This meant time/pay loss from work. No one showed up and no bothered to call. I called after I left work to be told the driver ran into trouble and couldn't make it but that we were put top priority and our delivery would be before 12 noon. Again time/pay loss of work. Around 4 pm my husband called and the LYING woman on the phone told my husband we were the next delivery, 6 pm rolls around still no delivery. I call back and was flat out told they NEVER bothered to bring my product and sent the driver to DC. Currently considering a lawsuit to cover loss of time/pay!!! Great trucking company. Prompt, speedy delivery and driver went above and beyond - he could've just left the bulky and heavy package on the driveway (which i would've been fine with) but he actually brought the item (8x8 hot tub cover) under the covered porch. The dispatcher worked with me to make sure i get my package delivered when it was convenient for me. Great company and would certainly use again and highly recommend. read more

Ordered some stuff through ULine and this company was supposed to deliver it. First order, they didn't even call when they delivered and delivered to the wrong address. Didn't ask for a signature. Just dropped it off with some guy named David. Never figured out where they dropped it off. Attempted a 2nd drop off, promised delivery between 8 and 12. No updates on any delays. Can't find the address again. Finally get the delivery around 2 but I waited around for 6 hours when I could have accomplished other things in my day. Not reliable or honest. scheduled a delivery window for yesterday of 11-3. no delivery by 3 so I called and was told 3:50. I informed them no one would be in the office to accept delivery after 4. nothing was delivered by 4. nothing was delivered yesterday. I called this morning and just said a delivery did not happen yesterday and without even looking anything up they told me "the delivery couldn't be made due to weather". when I stated that the delivery was in the truck and supposed to be there by 3:50 they looked in the system and then said the delivery got there just before 5 but no one was there. so the "weather" reason was just a total lie. then she said it was rescheduled for today but put me on hold to check. came back and said it was "too heavy" to make it on the truck for today. so now delivery is set to happen tomorrow by 1. I have no faith that will happen and no trust that I will get a true answer to anything when I call them. read more

Contractor ordered rush-overnight shipment from Long Island to Rochester NY last Thursday 10/19. Tracking number still shows "Unscheduled". A. Duie Pyle, Syracuse, NY Terminal, was a disaster. Have never experienced such incompetence and ineffective customer service. Our experience was this: 1. A. Duie Pyle called on Wednesday June 15 to set a time for Thursday, June 16 to deliver a pallet of patio furniture. Set a delivery window of 12-4pm. 2. Did not show up on Thursday. Wife wasted a half-day waiting for the delivery. Pyle called late in the afternoon to say that the lift gate had broken and they needed it to lower the pallet. Rescheduled for Friday, June 17. 3. Did not show up on Friday. Wife wasted a half-day waiting for delivery. Pyle did not call. I called A. Duie Pyle and the customer service person said they simply failed to put it on the truck. Rescheduled for Monday, June 20. 4. Did not show up on Monday. I wasted a half-day waiting for the delivery. Pyle did not call. I called A. Duie Pyle and the customer service person said the truck was to full and there was no room for our shipment. Rescheduled for Monday, June 20. 5. Shipment arrived today. Instructions were to call in advance so that I could guide them to the drop point. They did not. Without knocking to let us know they were there, pallet left in front of our garage door, blocking our car so it could not get out until I broke down the shipment and moved the boxes to a place to assemble. Wasted our time, very frustrating communication, bad information, broken promises. Avoid A. Duie Pyle! read more

Out of all the delivery companies I have had to deal with this is by far the worst. I had costume made awnings that where shipped through this company. After scheduling a delivery, and confirming with them the day of the delivery, the shipment never arrived. I called again, and was told that a hold was placed on my delivery so it was being returned. I then rescheduled the delivery for the next day, and after confirming and given a time frame of 2-5 PM the shipment never arrived. I called to speak to a manager and I was told that the shipment was never sent out. I am on day 3 of scheduling, and had to cancel other arrangements, which consisted of a company that was installing the awnings. I even missed my daughters graduation as a result. I am updating my post with all the delivery dates I have scheduled the delivery and confirmed with managers and customer service representatives for June 19, 20, 25, 26 and 27th. I continue to get the same excuses "It never made it on the truck" or "the truck had to many hours driving". I am not sure what I am going to do at this point, I am considering reaching out to the Better Business Bureau (BBB) and filing a complaint. read more

I spoke with a Duie Pyle on 4/1 and scheduled a delivery for 4/5 between 10-2pm. They said I must be home to accept the delivery, and asked if I was willing to help unload the item (weighing 90lbs). I said I was not physically able to help lift 90 pounds. 4/5 came and went and there was no delivery so I called and was told it wasn't loaded on to the truck that day so I could have it delivered the following day 4/6 between 9-1pm. I called on 4/6 at 9am to confirm delivery and was told yes it was on the truck but wouldn't be delivered until 1-4pm. after 12pm I received a text message that it would be delivered by 5pm. My item did finally arrive however it was at the expense of me having to lose two days pay waiting for it. Absolutely unreliable. read more

Terminal mgr is a narcissistic micromanager always putting alot of effort into telling you about your flaws and takes enjoyment embarrassing you in front of other employees...as for HR they are just totally useless!!! The worst! They made an appointment to deliver the toilet on Friday - 11am - 2 pm. I arranged my work schedule to be home. At 3pm there was no delivery. I called only to be told, the toilet was put on the back of truck and they will NOT be delivering. They never called me to let me know. I asked if they could deliver Monday morning, as I had scheduled a plumber to install on Monday afternoon. I was told OK, and they would call me back and confirm. I again never got a call. I then called them on Monday morning only to be told, they could NOT schedule for Monday because their system would not let them because it was in delivery status? They rescheduled to have the toilet delivered Tues the 12th and they are dumping the boxes at the end of the driveway - the men will not bring the boxes up the driveway! I have ordered toilets, sinks and vanities in the past (from other companies) and they were delivered per the tracking - and brought up my driveway! That is one reason I like to order online. TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE...these guys were contracted to deliver decking material from The Home Depot to my house. I informed them I would not be there, just leave it in the driveway. they said they would prefer I was there but it was ok. set up the delivery date. They do not call to confirm...I am ok with that because I was not going to be there. The guy shows up and calls me, says he needs a signature. I said your office said it was ok. he calls the office and he gets the ok. then he says, I still can not deliver, I ask why, he says the delivery pallet is too big and heavy and he can not get it off the truck. he needs someone to help him. I ask, where is your helper? he replies, I do not have one, you need to help me or arrange to have someone at the location to help. puzzled, I inform him the reason I paid for the delivery was because I have a bad back and I could not help him even if I was there....he says, too bad and drives off. I call HD and tell them. I say I can have my boys there over the weekend or my contractor if they give me a specific time (I have to pay the guy). The response, we don't work weekends (I am ok with that), the best they can do is give me a 3 hour window or I can go to their warehouse in the Bronx and pick it up (I paid for delivery). Horrible. Spent too much time on phone after scheduled delivery never showed. Made excuse needed lift gate for residential, well duh! Called and rescheduled for next day between 10-2pm, NO SHOW, NO CALL. Call next day day they tell me IF they can find it will deliver it. WTF! So near end of third day I call and they finally say they lost it. WTF once again. Two pallets totaling over 400 pounds vanished! So now the company I purchased from is re-sending the shipment. This is the email I sent to A Duie Pyle copied and pasted to save me from writing again.... I waited all day for a large delivery of flooring. I had my work van parked at the corner waiting to easily transfer the materials, a helper to help transfer the materials, I contacted the driver multiple ways hours ago and was told my package would be here between 3pm-5pm. I was supposed to be the 8th stop. I watched as every stop got completed on my phone. At 4:40pm, the 7th stop was completed, at 4:50 it said attempted delivery/bring back. There's was no attempted delivery as I was literally waiting at my door. Your lazy driver caused a huge inconvenience for me, I own my own construction company and now have to put off more work to accommodate you drivers pure laziness. I predicted a certain amount of this lazy, unprofessional delivery service by having so many things prepared like my van conveniently parked at the corner and an extra set of hands on deck, but I couldn't predict that you guys would simply not even try to show up. I even spoke to someone within 20mins of the 7th completed delivery and was told there was nothing that could be done. When obviously your lazy driver was still in a reasonable distance to complete the delivery. read more

Webstaurant.com should reconsider using Duie Pyle third party delivery. I have rescheduled 3 times so far and have not received my item. Mind you, this means I took 3 days away from work, and had to find people to help me carry the item each of those days. The picked up the package, sent it to the wrong shipper who in turn LOST it, then found it and shipped it back and then they still are charging me my rate quote that was based on a 4 day delivery. Their phone legit says if they mess up I will not be invoiced. In ONE day they tried to tell me my charges will be over 1,000 (300 more than the rate quote) then 190 something, then 200 and now it's back to the original rate quote of 719. IN ONE DAY! No one there can get their stories straight and the customer service is awful. Absolutely awful. read more

We booked a pick up yesterday at noon time BOL NO BG199603311, I called your office at 8005235020 Ext 1 and spoke to Sam at 3 PM and was told that the driver was around the corner and he should be at the location by 4:30PM and that did not happened so I called at 5:05PM and was told that the driver was not going to show! If you have a driver on the road and a pick up was scheduled with 5 Hrs window, how could it be missed? Why nobody called us to alert us of delay? Missing a pick up in this industry is a cardinal sin and this is no way to grow a business. You claim you have the best service but I disagree! I spoke to Erin yesterday who told me that he would reschedule for today between 10 AM and Noon. Hopefully your company wont drop the ball the second time! It would be very embarrassing! Update I was informed by Shannon at ext 3468 that A Duie Pyle truck is not coming in for the recovery pick up today neither. They told me they were too busy! these guys 100% stink. They screwed up a simple order with simple instructions. My appt time for a furniture delivery was 2- 7 pm. They called at 10 am to say I was the next stop. Since no one was home and would not be there until 2 pm i told them they would have to come back. So, they said they would come back later. They then showed up at 8:30 pm ( 90 mins) late I paid for "inside delivery" for the item (this is clearly stated on the air bill) and when the driver came he argued with me telling me he is "not a mover" and would not bring it inside the house. He then explained their definition of "inside" means into a "garage" (i do not have a garage). The item weighs over 300 lbs, and they only sent one guy. he basically took it off the truck and dropped in my driveway and left He left a 320 lb piece of furniture in my driveway at night to be left there overnight in the elements. I then had to pay a handyman the next morning to come and help my husband in with it i have called and complained to customer service, VPs and the CEO and none of them took the time to care in the least. The CEO even asked me "well, did you tell anyone you didn't have a garage"? imagine? from the CEO? Go with another shipper next time...the aggravation alone isn't worth it read more

Placed an order with my supplier on a Tuesday before noon. PYLE also located in Penn. didn't pick up my order till Wednesday still plenty of time to get to Maine by Friday at 6pm right ? Wrong ! Didn't even call me to let me know it wasn't coming found out myself by tracking it. Then called them & complained with out yelling or cursing & the person hung up on me ! Customer Service Stinks!! They screwed up big time after crates were promised to a large customer by noon the next day. THE DRIVER NEVER SHOWED UP. We paid employees overtime to wait to load the truck that never showed up. I was crystal clear with their office as to pick up & drop off times, freight class, size and weights. Their horrible mistake caused me to go rent a uhaul and drive the freight to Delaware myself the next morning. I am a sales & design manager not a truck driver. ADP made a delivery to our business location. The receiver was away, so the driver dropped off the pallet, forged the signature and drove off. The delivery was missing $825.00 worth of product. I contacted ADP, inclduing sending them copies of the signature on the BOL and the receiver's signature, who's name was forged on the Bill of Lading, and explained what happened. The signatures are not even remotely alike. We lost the sale of the product because it was ordered specifically for a customer that needed it by a certain time. ADP denied the claim. I am requesting from our vendors to exclude ADP as a carrier for our purchase orders. read more

Is it possible to give this company no stars. My mother ordered a heat pump and it was being delivered by A. Duie Pyle Inc. The truck driver expected my mother to meet him somewhere to pick up the heat pump because he "couldn't make it up our road." Our road is extremely wide and he would have easily made it up. My mother had no idea that she needed to meet him and he was extremely rude to her, blamed her for not knowing to meet him, told her to call costumer service and then proceeded to hang up on her. She called him back but he did not answer. So she called costumer service and had two extremely rude phone representatives. They continued to blame the whole situation on my mother when it was clearly not her fault. She had a lack of information and they did not disseminate correct information to her. I would never recommend this company to anyone. Steer clear if you can! read more

Do not use this company. They scheduled a delivery for me from 10a-2p. never showed. Never called. When I finally got through (you must repeatedly call and continue to press the same button when it kicks you back to the main menu) they said the driver was in too big a truck for the street. They admitted that there was a note on the delivery instructions about truck size since they ASKED me how big the truck could be. They ignored it and never called. Then they have the driver call to say he can meet me 1/2 a mile away on a busy street and drop off this 90 pound toilet. I don't have a car. This Business has rude Employee's The driver's park where they want and block Business entrance and exits. When you approach them they are rude and act like it's your problem or fault that they cant figure out where to park without inconveniencing other Business. When I called the Business they linked me on to a gentleman in dispatch who when he figured out that I wasn't one of there customers he cut me off and said to me 3 times I'll pass it on, then hung up on me. If my company or any other company that I know of, ever thinks of doing Business with A Duie Pyle. I will highly recommend against it.
