By this time, I needed periodontal scaling of the teeth to clean my teeth. Kim, their hygienist did an excellent job. My exam also revealed a need for a root canal and new crown. Dr. Siddiqui did this on a later date. I'd say the biggest pain was more the thought than the event! In summary I highly recommend Gentle Dentists. It's been a long time since I've felt so much confidence in a dentist and their recommendations. Everyone in this office makes you feel comfortable. It's a privately owned practice with all up to date equipment. Dr. Siddiqui can do everything on site and has more skills than the average dentist. At last, after trying more than a few, I have my dentist!

This practice provided me with the worst experience I have ever had in my entire life at a Dental office. For my entire life, I have never had any issues - not a single cavity. I tried this new dentist as I got new insurance and moved to a new area. I explained this to the staff, and they might have used this to their advantage. They diagnosed me with advanced periodontitis and multiple cavities. They also told me I had major bone loss. After this horrifying (and wrong) diagnosis from the hygienist and the Dentist (Christian Tria), the treatment coordinator told me my total would be 2000 out of pocket when I just came for an inital check up and cleaning. I walked out of the office and declined all treatment. I knew something was not right (especially with my perfect dental history and having no pain) and sought out a second option. I scheduled an appointment with another office the next day (today), and they told me the diagnosis from Urbn Dental and Dr. Christian Tria was false! They even reviewed the same X-Rays and imaging! As I suspected, I do not have advanced periodontitis or any periodontitis as a matter of fact, and do not have any cavities, either, or bone loss! This was a horrible, horrible experience as they were attempting to upsell and charge me for unnecessary deep cleaning and Laser Phototherapy. I will not be going back, especially after doing a more thorough review of their practice. The other 1-star reviews share similar stories, if not the same, also reddit users in the HTX area shared the same sentiment, and their BBB reviews are poor. Client beware! I feel for those who were scared into purchasing unnecessary treatments.

Not reading the entire text I signed off on it. Well, after my visit they charged me $50 for a fluoride treatment which I did not request. After thinking about it I called back and spoke to the manager and explained to her my situation. She refused to refund my money due to me signing the text. Needless to say I will never return.

But she took my call and had me laughing in no time, which really helped because I was in so much pain. A little backstory, my braces were removed in 2021. A year later, my permanent retainer was moving my teeth. My orthodontist took full blame and put braces on the bottom of my teeth to correct them. The process was finished in April. Well, the left side of my head and face became very painful. The orthodontist said the retainer mold was wrong and replaced that... Fast forward, I moved to Texas, and now I'm at the doctor's because my face is swollen, and on to the Berkeley Eye Center. I'll spare you the rest. So now, I have the kindest woman named Sherri on the phone, who I consider a friend now. She told me to come on in, she'll send the paperwork through email, and she'll see me at two. She didn't stop there; once I got there and finished the exam, I thought I had to come back for them to put the proper braces on. Nope, Sherri said we can do the braces today, and they did! No more pain for me. Thank you, thank you so much, Sherri!

This was my first dental appointment since his passing and my first time going to the dentist alone. I was very emotional and nervous walking through the door. From the moment I walked in, Emmanuel at the front desk made me feel welcome and comfortable. The dental assistants, Kenia and Violeta, were incredibly kind, patient, and reassuring. Dr. Saood was compassionate, understanding, and took the time to make sure I felt at ease. When I became emotional and started to cry, everyone treated me with genuine kindness, grace, and care. I am self-pay, and I was pleasantly surprised by their affordable dental membership plan, which helps significantly with costs. I will be getting a dental implant to replace a broken tooth, two fillings, and teeth whitening, and I feel confident that I am in excellent hands. The office itself is beautiful and thoughtfully designed. They even offer a comfort menu with options like weighted blankets, noise-canceling headphones, neck pillows, and other amenities to help patients relax during treatment. Most importantly, I never felt pressured or upsold on services I didn't need, which has been my experience at some other dental offices. Instead, they focused on what was best for my dental health and made me feel respected, heard, and cared for. I highly recommend Smile Avenue to anyone, especially those who struggle with dental anxiety. They truly go above and beyond to make their patients feel comfortable and supported. Thank you, Emmanuel, Kenia, Violeta, and Dr. Saood, for making what could have been a very difficult first visit alone a positive and reassuring experience. I am truly grateful.

"Range"of cost for root canal suggested by Dr prior to surgery was around $1200. Find it hard to believe that since the base cost of the root canal was $1644, the Dr didn't know this was a low estimate . Imagine my surprise on check out after what I can only describe as a friendly but painful procedure for the final bill to be $2450. Would never have done it had I had any idea. My fault for not being more pointed in questioning. LAST ROOT CANAL EVER! Add to the RC a new crown at $1200 plus and the economics suggest pull the tooth or get an implant which has lower risk of future problems.

Dr. Campbell and…read morehis office have questionable business practices, and when I brought it up, they were dismissive and Dr. Campbell himself was very arrogant. The Christian persona and mission work he does apparently don't extend to his practice. Last year, I had a crown that fell off and my dentist recommended that I see Dr. Campbell to make sure there wasn't a problem with the root canal that Dr. Campbell had performed prior to the crown being put on. I was in a lot of pain, but when I contacted his office, I was told he was going out of town on a mission trip and they would not let me see the other doctor in the practice because I had originally seen Dr. Campbell. So I had to wait 24 days to see him, in pain the entire time. When I finally got in, they took x-rays (and refused to request the existing x-rays from my dentist). They then performed a CT before I even saw the doctor, but when I questioned this, I was brushed off and just told that the doctor would go over everything with me. When I finally saw Dr. Campbell, he looked at the x-rays only and told me that everything looked great. I specifically asked if he could tell everything from the x-ray and was told yes. When I asked why the CT was performed, he only then looked at it and just said again that everything was great. He then walked me to the front office, handed off my chart and left. It was then that I was informed that I owed $150 for the CT because insurance never covers them. I said that is not acceptable at all for several reasons. The first is I hadn't even seen the doctor and he hadn't looked at any x-rays to see if a CT was even warranted. Secondly, I should have been told that the office would like to do a CT scan, but that insurance wouldn't cover it, and asked if I would be okay with that. The fact that it was just done and I was told after the fact that it wasn't covered and hit with a large bill is very deceptive and even unethical. At this time, I asked to speak with Dr. Campbell to let him know that I couldn't believe that I was being charged and expressed that things should have been done differently. His response was that it was needed for diagnostic purposes. I replied and said at first you didn't even pull up the CT until I asked about it and had already told me that you could see everything from the x-rays. He said that is just the way our office does things. However, their own website says of the CT scan, "Dental Cone-Beam Computed Tomography (CT) is a special type of x-ray equipment used when regular dental or facial x-rays are not sufficient." Since the x-ray had not even been reviewed, they could not have known that they would be insufficient (when by Dr. Campbell's own words, they were sufficient), thus the CT scan should not have been performed. A few days later, I wrote Dr. Campbell a letter, expressing my disappointment in the way the entire thing was handled and his response was "Roger that, sorry to lose you as a patient. My standards are my standards which are very high apparently compared to your value in my expertise and your dental health." There are lots of good endodontists in the Houston area - find one that doesn't perform procedures that he knows will not be covered and are of questionable necessity without even bothering to talk to you about the financial impact of his practices on you. We all know that performing the CT did not cost him anywhere close to $150, but keeping that profit was more important to him than his patient.
