this was a horrible experience I am a single mother and hired a express to move I didn't have a lot of things i had reserved for 3 hours and they told me it would take 6 and when I told them I would just move what I could in the 3 they were not moving with purpose im fact there were 2 movers and i actually watched them both carry a 15lbs table together that I later picked up and moved on my own, the service was horrible they took things apart so it would take up time and then didn't put them back together because time was up. never again will I go with them I ended up having to get a uhaul. read more

We selected this company to move our big and bulky items just a few miles across town. They did it for a price about half what larger movers were estimating, and did a good job wrapping and protecting our items. Things got packed up quickly and were unpacked lightning fast. The guys showed up late and what looked like hung over or very tired. They were very slow in figuring out what to take first and the entire time, they were talking and laughing in Ukranian. THEN, they scratched our floors and a peg on one of our side tables became wobbly and after I called them TWICE and told them about my issues, nobody seemed to want to help. Just finished my second move with them. They moved me from Gurnee to Highwood the first time, then today to Kenosha. Both times they finished faster than the minimum time, which included 30 to 45 minutes of driving in between. Super reasonably priced. And the guys were super nice. I've seen some companies charge 200 an hour, including the initial drive just to get to you. I don't know why anyone would hire a company like that when they could hire these guys. They showed up today, 30 minutes late with two movers even though we requested three movers and a 20 foot truck even though we requested a 24 foot truck. They left and said they would be back within two hours. Four hours later they are still not here and we had to find other movers. Do not use these people if you need to move anything larger than a small one bedroom apartment. Their customer service is horrible as well. The woman who runs the calls was totally rude and started to yell and raise her voice at me. Not cool. Lastly, they basically said it was our problem that they could not help us at all this weekend. Don't do it. They arrived 3 hours late. Ended up moving in the dark by the time the truck arrived to the new place. They damaged items in our new home while moving in bulky items. A co-worker referred them to me after finding them in the Yellow Pages for an upcoming move, but had not yet used their services (she found their rates to be reasonable and liked the lady who answered the phone). When I phoned to schedule the move I spoke with Anna, and found her to be very pleasant as well. I scheduled my move for 10/18. However, my landlord found another tenant who needed to move in sooner than my move out so he asked if I would be willing to terminate my lease early. I love saving money so I called Anna to change my date. They are extremely busy, but Anna was able to get me in. As promised, she phoned the day prior to confirm the address and rate (rates are VERY reasonable: $85 per hour for 3 guys and a nice size truck). The guys called me at precisely 8:00 am (scheduled time between 8 - 9 and I was really wishing for 9). I was at first nervous that my furniture would be way too heavy for the movers, but they made it look effortless. They even took my trash to the dumpster for me. I was thoroughly empressed with them. They did a great job of moving my items from a 3rd floor condo to a much smaller two bedroom house. This was my fourth time using movers in 16 years and they are by far the best I've worked with in the area. They didn't stand around long trying to figure out what to do, how to do it and who was going to do what - they worked very well together. I wasn't 100% ready when they arrived, but they encouraged me to continue working while they did their part and I am glad I did because I finished packing and organizing just in time for them to take EVERYTHING; I was very impressed. We were driving some distance and their truck only goes so fast so I went ahead - worrying that they would pull the old "we got lost" trick to increase the price - as I've had done with previous movers - but they arrived at the destination before me because I stopped by the ATM - a quick stop.... I didn't even have time to grab lunch before they called to say they were at my home. Because of my moving expenses, I didn't have the resources to tip them as much as I normally do for good service (and they truly deserved it), but they really didn't seem to care. I was stressed out as everyone is when moving and calling for quotes and my friend said check out Craigslist, so I did. After calling a couple of places I called A Express Moving and spoke to Anna, she was very nice and explained that they have no hidden charges (they dont) they dont charge for box rentals as they have plenty of blankets to cover your belonging (as I called another company and they wanted to charge me $15.00 just to USE the box not even keep it, and $32.00 for a roll of shrink wrap where A Express Moving does not charge for shrink wrap. They wrapped my new mattress, furniture, New TV, and the topper was they moved my HUGE couch out the 2nd floor window. I was so impressed with them, they were quiet but after a few hours we were even joking and laughing which helped me clam down as I was a wreck ( haven't moved in 7 years and forgot how STRESSFUL it is) I made the right choice and was so happy I hired A Express Moving!!!!! They do ask for the $360.00 before they leave with your stuff, which I found odd but I dont know if that's how they all do it, I really didn't care as I was happy things were going smooth. I have used these movers three times, and in each moving job, they: (1) ARRIVE ON TIME, (2) WORK HARD UNTIL THE JOB IS DONE, and (3) GET THE ENTIRE JOB DONE WITHIN THE THREE-HOUR MINIMUM TIME FRAME! Even my most recent and most distant move from Northlake, IL to Waukegan, IL was complete in LESS than the three-hour minimum time frame! At the conclusion of each move job, I give them a WELL-DESERVED $15 tip per MOVER! I have used several other movers over the years, and "A Express Moving and Delivery" is AS GOOD AS IT GETS! We've gone thru every mover in town and I could write a book about the garbage out there! DeShond suggested that we try A Express and after the 1st move, we were impressed. March 2, 2018 makes the 3rd time we've used them and it doesn't get any better. They can move you on short notice and always on time, work fast and do a fantastic job! I was in need of a moving company from a third flr. walk up to a new home and investigated several companies for pricing and availablity. It was luck to find A-Express Moving and Delivery and was I glad with my decission. Anna was so helpful and the team she sent was awesome. The quote was right on and there were no hidden charges. They supplied packing materials and disassembled things that needed it. At the other end they reassembled and put all furniture and boxes in the rooms I requested. Used them for a long distance move from Indiana to Michigan. They were wonderful! I was really in a bind because on the day of my move the original movers I hired never showed up. So desperately I began looking for another company because rescheduling the move was not an option. Anna was wonderful and was able to get a crew to get her by coming in on their day off and coming in early. They were very fast and efficient when packing the truck and unpacking. In the last five years I have moved four times and I have used A express movers every single time. On top of that my entire family and extended family uses there services as well. They are punctual and get the job done fast! Not to mention they are some of the most reasonably priced movers that you can find in the Chicagoland area. Damaged furniture happens no matter how good the movers are, and I've never experienced any major damage using them- they are very skilled movers. What matters is price, efficiency, and punctuality and these guys have it all! Our most recent move we had scheduled them for the morning and decided that we wanted to continue moving for the rest of the day...they were polite enough to call one of the other clients and ask to reschedule to accommodate our needs. When you call the woman who makes all the appointments so polite and accommodating and I just couldn't ask for a better moving service. They are so reliable and and I'm 100% satisfied with the service they provided on my multiple moves...I highly recommend them! read more

Wow I must say how disappointed I am with this company today. I reserved three guys last week, I was asked by the lady on the phone to call the day before to reserve I called yesterday and told her I only wanted 2 guys she said no problem.. They will be there between 1p and 4p and I will call you 1 hour prior. So she calls me at 915a and says they are close to your house and will be there within the next hour, and there are 3 men so you MUST take the 3 man crew or reschedule for another day. So after I said ok fine just send them. They didn't show up until 1p.. They were moving like turtles carrying one drawer at a time, 1 chair. . The head guy was missing for a little while I see him on the side of the house on the phone so I confront him and he gets angry and tells me not to rush them he is talking to a customer.. mind you the truck is still over half full and we are now at 40 minutes to my 3 hour minimum. When I get my sofa it is soaked bcuz they didn't wrap it at all. . The pillows were soaked I'm hoping from water and nothing else! !! Don't think of withholding payment bcuz the collect the 3 hour minimum up front. . So save yourself the frustration and call another company. They also said they would have wardrobe boxes, they did not have any! !! I'm sure it's more that I'm leaving out but in a nutshell call another company! !!! read more

HORRIBLE! DO NOT USE THEM! We had scheduled a time for 12 noon a week in advance and they did not show up until 720pm the day of the move with a small/1 bedroom truck when we ask for a large/4 bedroom truck. The movers looked exhausted by that time. We had called the office manager (Anna) and she was getting rude and disrespectful. So she said that she will cancel the move, leaving us stranded. I used A Express to help move my parents from a studio in Rogers Park to an apartment in Skokie. I was unable to give them the exact start time, and they flexible enough to accommodate by coordinating the arrival time over the phone on the day of move. The lady on the phone was very nice. The movers themselves were well equipped with carts, blankets and belts. The guys were polite and worked efficiently and quickly. My Dad and I were helping to some degree with smaller items, so they could concentrate on the furniture and heavier stuff. We were able to complete the move in 3 hours.
