I called the day of for a birthday flower order and was pleasantly surprised that I was able to get the flowers delivered and customized within a few hours. Especially during a massive storm in the city! Customer service here was excellent and so so helpful. I was advised to consider adding red to the birthday flowers as they are a sign of good luck for birthdays, and my friend was happy that I included the color throughout the bouquet, starting her birthday on the right foot! The quality was really what surprised me, especially for such a last-minute order; I was a bit shook when my friend sent me the photo; the florist included red orchids, which totally blew my mind; I've literally never seen red orchids included in a bouquet. I received flowers today on (Mother's Day) from my daughter from "my neighborhood florist called " "A flower shop" 846 Holloway , San Francisco -- which happens to be very close proximity to my home, and I was absolutely amazed on how beautifully done the flowers were arranged ! Who would have known this tiny little storefront tucked away on Holloway Ave, in ingleside terraces area off ocean Avenue had such talented flora artist! My arrangement was done in a beautiful white medium size porcelain vase w gold trimming. This vase maybe an additional option added to the arrangement price so definitely inquire before ordering. But Omg - what a beauty! It included White flowers theme with Day Lily's, white big mums and white or soft pink roses and beautiful green accent leaves which really complemented the white porcelain vase. So here's the story, ....... I have driven past this small shop on Holloway for at least - I'd say ..... the last five years and have never thought to stop in therefore i had no idea how great their work was. We had an issue caused by 1-800-Flowers end, but the Florist was the one who ended up struggling to make amends. I bought a corsage and boutonnière for my sons junior prom . I ask specifically for DARK BLUE AND GOLD. I took the tie that was going to be used, she took a picture of it with her phone. She showed me a sample of the correct blue ribbon with a shimmer trim. I asked for ni shimmer but gold trim. She said no problem I will get it. I it picked up today 4-28-18 and they gave me a light blue ribbon with a shimmer instead of gold which I specified I did not want. Because time was of the essence we had no option but to take it. I had to run to Michael's and fix it my self. I am completely dissatisfied and upset to hear the lady repeatedly say that It's pretty. read more

I placed an order here the day before my anniversary. I was worried that I wouldn't be able to get a custom arrangement in time as the other two shops I called wanted a 24 and 48 hour prior notice. But I was in luck a friend recommend this shop so I called them up. The staff was very friendly and made a custom arrangement based on the list of colors I asked for. They even did free delivery to Pacifica for me which is like a 30min drive from their shop. I was very happy with their service and attention to detail, and my gf was happy to have flowers delivered to her at work. I will order from here again. read more

I was rushing to pick up some florals to decorate an engagement cake and since I couldn't go to safeway since I wasn't sure if they sprayed chemicals on theirs I came to this little shop. The guy who runs it was very nice but the florals may be on the pricey side. I spent 20 bucks on a few daisies and carnations with some greenery. I think even the guys thought it was a lot since he then added some 3 stems of roses and some.more greenery. I received flowers from this shop, my first impression wasn't good, the outdated cobalt blue vase was taller than the arrangement itself, all the flowers were cut very short for a tall vase. I had to pull the flowers up to make the whole thing more balanced. The vase was all dusty on the rear side, obviously from being on a shelf for years. I looked on their website to see what picture could match my flowers and none had the blue vase and all looked a lot taller and bigger AND better FLOWERS. There is a $45 minimum at this flower shop. I was at the Hallmark store at Stonestown Galleria and asked them if they knew of a nearby florist, and they recommended this spot because the owner used to work for them. Had I known about the minimum, I wouldn't have wasted my time. Every florist I've ever purchased from allows you to say what you want to spend and then the worker can pull appropriately-priced flowers to fit that budget. I wanted to spend $25 but the gentleman who was working there said he couldn't do that and again emphasized the minimum. I ended up going to Whole Foods down the street and got a bouquet for $12. I was going to wish them luck with their business but apparently they're doing so well, they can turn customers away! read more

My son sent me a floral arrangement, and this company delivered it. He lives South Bay, and I am peninsula, so the delivery was some distance away. I must say that this was/is the longest lasting floral arrangement I have ever had. It is ten days old, and still looks good. OK, I pulled out some carnations, but the roses and other flowers are still looking pretty, and the fillers they used look fresh. They even called to be sure I knew a delivery had been made. I received a dozen of beautiful roses while in the hospital a couple of weeks ago. They had been ordered from A Flower Shop. To my disappointment, the roses turned dark and began to wilt after a few days. I called A Flower Shop and explained the situation. The individual apologized and assured me that the flowers would be replaced the same day - no questions asked. When I returned to my room a few hours later, I found a new arrangement of bright, lush and vibrant long stemmed red roses with a card from A Flower Shop. I was stunned. I came home with the roses last week and only today had to throw them out. A Flower Shop epitomizes service, courtesy and professionalism.
