I ordered a sympathy bouquet from them for a funeral service. In the comments section of the online order, I indicated that I needed them by a specific time. I also called them the day before (because I'm OCD) to confirm. The guy reassures me that he has my order, and that it'll be ready by the specified time. When I came to pick up the flowers, the door was locked but the sign says "Open", so I knock a few times. The guy opens the door and there are my flowers. The bouquet was fuller and more beautiful than pictured. I think it also had more roses than pictured. The flowers were fresh, and the basket was exactly as pictured. HERE"S MY UPDATED REVIEW: My orchid was delivered for my birthday at the end of MAY. Today is Sept. 1st. The orchid -- which was HUGE and in profuse, gorgeous, full bloom when it was delivered HAS NOT CHANGED at all since then -- 3 full months. In fact, I kept feeling it and it was always wet -- I've only watered it for the first time last week! Honestly, I've twice made a point to touch its leaves and flowers gently because I thought that somehow I'd been fooled -- that it cannot possibly be real. But it is. I know orchids -- my husband loves them and we have two that we take good care of and have had for a number of years. But, but -- this is the orchid from (an exceptionally beautiful!) Mars. THANK YOU for THREE FULL MONTHS of gorgeousness -- and no signs of any of the flowers wilting or falling off at all (how can that be?!) Not the shapest tool in the shed and lack of comment sense. I ordered a large premium standing funeral flower arrangement to be delivered to a furneral home .The only reason I order from this place is because they are on the same street only a few blocks away. I call over the phone to order just to make sure we are on the same page, the delivery date, the messages that I want to put on the flower stand etc. So the day before the service, they send me a picture of the flowers and there are no name and message ribbons. So I contacted them, and he told me we didn't talk about that and wrote it inside a card instead. I have bought many funeral flowers and seen a lot of funeral flowers sadly, and I had never seen someone use a card, so I thought it was pretty much a standard protocol. The family and guess are not going to go up to the flowers and take the card out and read it .So, I asked the owner, and he said it's too late, and there is nothing he can do about it despite it is only a few blocks away. So needless to say, I am not a happy customer and definitely won't be their customer again. read more

Here's the back story: *friend* told me that he called this company numerous times to see if the flowers had been delivered since he knew I was planning on leaving work early that day. They were very patient and understanding and tolerant of his calls... that was a plus to him =) The flowers were ok... I wouldn't say the freshest flowers ever BECAUSE it was a hot day. It's not there fault. Weather issues. It was during the heatwave so I could understand if the flowers were a little dried up. The one thing you definitely should NOT screw up is occasions. I ordered the FTD God's Gifts Bouquet for Mother's Day and clearly the highlight of the bouquet are the lillies. If it weren't for the lillies, why would I even order them in the first place? Firstly, there were no lillies at all. I understand that maybe you might've run out of lillies since there might've been an abundance of orders. You could've at least contacted me about them to ask what I would like to have them replaced with, especially when I gave my number. If not, at least replace them with some FRESH flowers. The flowers that were given were not fresh at all and some were wilting. Why would I pay 70USD for something like that especially on a special occasion like Mother's Day? It's completely unacceptable that you would give wilting flowers to the recipient on a special occasion when they are meant as a surprise for our loved ones. Secondly, why are there stems with no flowers? My family members are florists so I've dealt with flowers enough to know that these aren't used as filler flowers at all. It looks extremely terrible. The only reason I have to order and rely on you guys is because I can't be there in the US during the pandemic. This means that I'm relying HEAVILY on your service to ensure that my mother gets a decent Mother's Day bouquet, especially for the price I'm paying. Thirdly , you guys said "If we didn't meet your expectations, please don't hesitate to contact us." and I did. I've sent in an email 2-3 days ago but there was no response at all despite the poor service and product. The sitting flower piece couldn't even sit on its own with out falling forward because it was too front heavy. News flash, if it doesn't stand up by itself in your shop, it's not going to stand up by itself for your customer. Then, the standing flower spray was on a broken easel with wilting flowers on it upon delivery. Thanks a lot for making the flowers I bought for my friends' dad's funeral service look like a second rate, discount, days old sales priced purchase. Also, thanks for the stain on the carpet from the flower that kept on falling forward. Nothing like a wet spot for everyone to step in while approaching a casket to grieve and pay their respects!!!! read more

I needed to send my dearest friend flowers in the hospital, I requested a morning delivery, and hoped for the best this New Year's Eve. My friend was released in the afternoon, no delivery yet, and I called the shop and Eric made everything ok. Even though the driver had arrived at the hospital just as we were on the phone, Eric said he would have the driver bring them back and that he would personally take them to her home after closing the shop in the evening. He really went the extra mile to provide excellent customer service, and while at first I thought the bouquet was expensive, I found that flower delivery is the same all around, not for the faint of wallet. After Eric was so helpful and provided next-level service, I felt like I had gotten a fantastic deal after all. Highly recommended. (I'm assuming the flowers will be lovely too). Perhaps I'll report back later. I used My Flower Shop for my god daughter's wedding shower and the flowers were beautiful. Two years later, I went back to Eric for his creativity on flowers for the baby shower. The theme was panda and pandas were everywhere. The flowers on the tables needed to be white and red in black pots. Eric suggested topiary trees and they were perfect. Everyone loved them. I am attaching pics that will speak for themselves, but I'll still share a few words. I was the flower recipient, so I'm writing on behalf of the person who sent them to me as well. As you can see, it was a plant, with a bunch of "scrap" flowers wrapped in green foil, then taped to a broken off plant stem and was just push into the middle of the plant. Also, it was supposed to be a sympathy arrangement, so the elaborate colors are an odd choice. This arrangement was so bad it was comical. I cannot believe any Florist would dare let this out of their door and to a recipient. It's the craziest thing I've seen in a while. read more

I think that a flower shops should be all well organized in order for the perfect flowers. But then again I am OCD. So here is what is all about this little tiny shop off the beaten path of expensive street like Union or Chestnut or Fillmore. As far as my concern,their choices of flowers are the typical norm. Nothing too outstanding or too fancy design as of "look at what we can do" to hook ppl in to buy over priced flowers. It's their human decency knowing that what they sells can be marked up but not 3x higher than what they bought from wholesale. They don't dream to be rich but to have a job they love. That's about it from the owner and his employees. Their arrangement can vary as long as you have an idea of what you want. Over a certain amount can go a long way here. So be straight of what you need. Also the owner have soft spot for the elderly from what I notice. Support them and that will be your good karma of the day. read more

Went on the 1800Flowers website ordered a $129.00 arrangement and what my friend received was about the same as those flowers you grab on the way out of Safeway!!! I hate how florists rip you off just terrible. I sent a copy of the website photo and what was received to the 1800Flowers customer complaint and even they agreed and said they will have another florist deliver it correctly. A friend purchased flowers for me on Valentines day...they were delivered to the wrong area of my building and I never rec'd them. This was a surprise, so I didnt find out until the day after Valentines that I was supposed to get flowers. It doesn't end here. The following Monday the flower shop resent me the bouqet. It was large and beautiful - so large that I could barely lift it, so I couldnt take it home on my commute. But after I read the VERY clever card my friend wrote, it didnt make sense. He made reference to very specific flowers that were supposed to be in the arrangement. As it turns out, the "My Flower Shop" made the WRONG bouquet. Four days later, they work to resolve the situation by sending me the correct (totally different) bouquet. I received a call from the Manager notifying me that I will be receiving the correct arrangement ($150.00 by the way) but in order for me to recieve the corrected delivery - I HAD TO RETURN THE FLOWERS THAT I HAD! By now, they were 4 days old - what were they going to do with a 4-day old flower arrangement?!? He even asked that I walk it down to the reception lobby so his delivery person wouldnt have to come up to the 17th floor where I work - are you kidding me??? I thought this was extremely tacky - this was clearly their error - and they obviously couldnt do anything with the old flowers - so to demand I return them was utterly ridiculous. I even asked the Manager, "What could you possibly do with used, dying flowers?" He replied, "Some flowers can be good for over a week if you take care of them, so I may be able to re-use them..." HOW TACKY! I told him I felt sorry for the girl receiving my recylced flowers.... TAKE YOUR BUSINESS ELSEWHERE. BTW - when I finally rec'd my corrected bouquet, it didnt even look like the photo. It's tiny (though that's not uncommon with florists in the City), but it is too small for the florist to have room on the main floor for a desk; therefore, he climbs up and down a very steep ladder to a strange little loft right above the entrance. Needless to say, I was a little startled when I was greeted by a disembodied voice and then met by a man scampering down from above like one of Peter Pan's lost boys. So about the flowers: not very impressive, but very inexpensive. I was able to get a simple, but pretty, bouquet for $3. It would have been nice if it had been wrapped more attractively, but I guess I shouldn't have expected any more from this odd little shop. read more

I first got a phone call on Mother's Day from the flower shop saying they couldn't deliver. Are you kidding me you want me to go pick up the flowers when the purchased was already for delivery? My boyfriend spent $76 for a bouquet of tulips and after speaking to the guy and telling him it's his responsibility to deliver the flowers, he finally delivered them at 4:30pm which is pretty late for a Mother's Day present. And they look nothing like the picture!! They looked rushed and small!! Don't use them!! These people suck!!! read more

I used this florist for my wedding on Treasure Island in November 2007. First of all, everyone in the shop was very friendly and worked with me in detail with my to make sure I got what I wanted. From the colors of the flowers, shape of vases, style of bouquets...basically there wasn't a detail that we didn't discuss. The cost was very reasonalble, and the service was very impressive. They were on time at the ceremony site, helped set up the alter pieces (which were beautiful), and made sure that the appropriate bridal party attendents had their flowers. Flowers are such a huge part of what makes a wedding in my opinion, a bride wants everything to be as close to perfects as possible. I must say, I got exactly what I requested, I couldn't have asked for more. The flowers were so beautiful (white orchids, and other great varieties) that my guests were requesting to take them home. THANK YOU MY FLOWER SHOP for making the flowers for my wedding so perfect, and thank you for being so easy to work with. It was one less thing to stress about during a hectic time in my life. And to the other Yelper: Katie: Who are you to judge what space a florist needs to works, and why are you so concerned with them climbing up and down a ladder. This is San Francisco...space is tight and expensive. And wow, you got a pretty bouquet for $3 that is an awesome deal...what, were you expecting to get rare exotic flowers for $3? I received flowers from this establishment for my birthday this week. Notice I said birthday in the quiet month of January. They arrived late in the day, looking tired and filled with Christmas greenery and, besides five lovely white roses and a couple of white carnations, old daisies and a bunch of babies breath filler.
