I'm a little late on this review. My family and I rented an RV for my 40th bday 2 weeks ago. I have ZERO RV experience but have driven large box trucks so I gave it a go. Needless to say, Jeff and Denise were wonderful. Denise walked me through all of the paperwork and made sure the RV was prepped for 2 kids and 2 adults. Games, linens, movies, the whole shebang. I had many questions and she didn't skip a beat. Upon pick up the RV and returning the RV, Jeff was the man. He walked me through all of the functions, gave solid pointers and made himself available throughout the 2 night trip. I had to contact him a number of times the first night and he gracefully answered my questions without making me feel like a dummy. Nothing but great things to say about my experience. I called at 11am on a Tuesday hoping they would have a RV available, I had already spent two nights tent camping with a three year old and I was done. A RV was available, it was a 2022 model and EVERYTHING worked as it should. The vehicle was clean, comfortable and the personal touches (toiletries,decorative pillows, snuggly blankets and candy) were more than I expected. The cost was reasonable, no hidden fees, I was able to use my company to cover the RV Rental Insurance. Proximity to Doran Beach is another bonus! Round trip was about 50 miles total, so money spent on gas was only $32, much better than the $300 I usually spend when I rent out of Sacramento for the same camping trip. I never got out the door with this company. I emailed them a request for a quote including dates and RV requirements. They insisted on me returning a "reservation form" which is actually a contract including credit card number and signature. They expect you to give them a credit card before they even give you a quote. I sent back the form without my credit card number and received no response. That is, no response until a few days before my trip date when they sent me a text without any of the detail I had asked for. This includes basic costs for a slide, bedding, dishes, . . . And you better read their "Policies" page on their website carefully. Full payment for the entire rental is required if reserved within 30 days. And if you cancel they keep the entire deposit. read more

I have been meaning to post a review for the past several months and have not had the time. My dad was diagnosed with terminal stomach cancer last year, so at the beginning of the year we decided to take him on his last journey to see family and fulfill his lifetime dream to see the Grand Canyon. A fun RV rental made this memory an amazing one for our family, dog friendly, fully equipped with fun movies, and yummy treats. This was the last trip my dad was able to take he passed away two weeks after our return. The memories we had on this trip will last a life time. We spent nights cooking in the fully equipped kitchen, Watching funny movies that were in the RV. I loved the special touches like the extra blankets and pup friendly decor. You guys really make the RV so cozy before sending renters off. It truly felt like a home away from home. I have recommended this place to everyone I know. Not only was it affordable, but it was really comfortable for three people. Check in and check out we're so simple no hidden charges. Also extremely flexible we booked and planned this trip within a week and you guys were so accommodating. My mom and I will 100% be booking with you again. Great company to work with. Jeff was upfront about every thing on the RV. All possible extra charges we were made aware of ahold of time. We went camping to a site without hookups. I planed to use my generator to run the RV. Nope not enough power. So yes I used the onboard generator knowing how much it cost to run. I did forget to fill the propane. I forgot the fridge ran off of that when the generator was not running. Jeff was super easy to deal with. We will be repeat customers. read more

Burners beware, be prepared for hidden costs galore. Sure you will get an RV and the contract will look legitimate, but not only did the A/C not work in our RV for the entire week, but be prepared to be nickeled and dimed for everything and have to empty and clean everything yourself -- a litany of hidden charges. We paid $700 to an independent cleaning company who literally cleaned every crevice of the car, and the owner still found a dusty "screen" and charged us $250, $450 for an alleged "scape" on the side of the RV, and ended up with paying nearly $4500 for what was supposed to be a $3500 rental. Read the other reviewers here and on Google -- and you'll see plenty of more examples. Owner is also difficult as he's constantly irritated answering questions. We ended up paying $1100 more for our rental, not including $700 to 3rd party cleaning company (you can find these for cheaper, we just did this in Reno to save time), transportation costs, and $20 for grey water, tape of the windows, etc. Will definitely go with a legitimate rental company next time! read more

Just got back from anchor bay had a great time. The 19 ft rv we rented had a smell from sitting most of the wet winter. That was to be expected though. Everything in the rv worked and was clean and easy to use. I really have no complaints. I was able to leave my vehicle at the location so one person drop off and pick up was easy. All charges were explained and for 600 bucks for three nights in anchor bay with an ocean view. Life is great! read more

This company is a clinic on how to run a stone aged business and annoy you into not wanting to give them your money. As a small business owner, I find this mindset baffling. They want you to print out forms, fax them back, get insurance, fax that form back. Who the hell has a fax any more? Who has time for all this nonsense to rent an RV for two days? Endless irritating sign up process and I found the guy to be clueless about the 21st century "online" world. Yes, using quotes tongue in cheek. Here's what it should look like: Sign up online Payment through paypal Insurance is an easy link to purchase, same place as rental section, all flows in one work flow, one payment system. If something must be signed, use DocuSign. Pick up the RV Just ridiculous. The other guy, share my coach, is a lot friendlier although he never seems to be around so I ended up giving up on the whole RV idea for a camping trip. read more

This was our first time ever renting an RV. The guy (Jeff?) who took our reservation was nice. He helped me calculate the total cost fairly accurately so we had no surprises. The RV was clean and ran very well. It was super comfortable, although we couldn't figure out how to attach the privacy curtain behind the driver's seat. lt would have been nice had there been just one pot or pan - I didn't realize there was no utensils or anything but the stove & microwave. This is our second time renting from Jeff and he is top notch. Unlike some other people who posted that he "nickel and dimes" you, I like his efficient pricing structure -- a low daily rate for the unit and you pay for what you use. Sure there is a little fine print to read, but in our experience renting two RV's and driving over 2500 miles each full of 4 kids we had no issues and no surprises. My wife and I spent about an hour and half giving them a good cleaning and had no fees and no issues. Jeff was available on weekends via text to answer / troubleshoot questions, which was great as a rookie and again on our sophomore voyage. Our only constructive feedback would be: 1. A bit of a tech upgrade to his site, payment process and reservation process. He is easy to do business with, but it would be super if he could go fully digital per another reviewer's comment. 2. Allowing for a concierge turn-in fee up front (like when you rent a condo in Tahoe) of $150 bucks or something. If you had the option and could choose up front I bet it would avoid the worst surprise (you think you cleaned it and get dinged). 3. Scheduling time for a turn-in walk through - it could avoid he-said-she-said issues and honestly it is a little stressful waiting for the call / email that you don't have any fees. read more

Jeff was a good guy to work with and his RV quality is top notch. Would definitely rent from Jeff again. In order to manage your expectations, ask questions and then ask more questions. 1. Make sure your insurance carrier covers RV. Geico doesn't cover RV's so you'll need to pay an extra $100; unless you're with a group, then pick the driver that has insurance that does cover RV's. Ask Jeff which companies work or don't. 2. Double check your rate per day and all costs on the invoice. 3. Make sure you save time to CLEAN the RV inside and out, take it to a self serve car wash, then use a vacuum and cleaning products on the inside. Try to return the RV when Jeff is available. He gave me the option to clean a toilet we forgot to clean and didn't charge us - very fair. read more

These people are thieves in my opinion. We paid nearly $3000 for a two week rental. They're trying to make it $4000 by keeping our deposit for damage they claim we did to the vehicle. We're 50-something, home-owning, responsible people. We called them whenever there was a problem. Had we done any damage to the RV we would take responsibility. After we left on our trip we discovered that the locks on the storage areas didn't work; Jeff told us to fix them ourselves (we did). The cupboard above the sink was broken and wouldn't stay open. The microwave had to be plugged in and unplugged every time we used it, which involved having to climb up on the counter below it. It also didn't work half the time. Jeff told us he would take care of it after we returned the vehicle, which wasn't much help to us. There was garbage, including food, in the cab-over bed space. We had a blow-out on the highway on our trip: they knew we were traveling close to 5000 miles and sent us out with a tire that had less than that left in it. We had to pay out of pocket for someone to put the spare on and repair the exhaust pipe which had been damaged by the blow-out. Jeff told us to fix the exhaust pipe ourselves, which was not possible with the tools we had with us. The pro who came out to put on the spare tire had to use tools to fix the exhaust pipe that only a professional would have. There were also small things such as trying to set the clock (Jeff didn't know how); ripped upholstery, a privacy screen that was obviously not made for that vehicle (which also had Velcro that came off - Jeff again suggested that we fix it ourselves). The list goes on. Jeff has been rude and condescending. He and Cindy have given us conflicting information about the vehicle - "The repairs have been done, you can come and see it." "The repairs haven't been done, you can come and see it." "We don't get receipts from the repair place." What sort of business doesn't get receipts for expenses? In our estimation they have no intention of having any repairs done, and possibly simply keep charging renters for the same "repairs" over and over. It's a poor business practice, in my opinion. We could have been return customers, even with the issues with the RV. With their actions and attitudes since our return, I can only warn others not to do business with them. read more

My wife is awesome, she rented here during the 4th of july for my birthday, it was our first time every renting a RV, so we were pretty nervous and read a lot about RV'ing before we arrived. We were looking for an affordable RV rental to take to the coast. We ended up renting a small RV that allowed us to take our fur babies with us without an extra fee. It was a good, clean vehicle that worked perfectly for the 4 of us and three dogs. Easy pick up and drop off, friendly owner, no hidden fees, and knew exactly what was expected of us for return. We rented a trailer. The owner Jeff is very friendly and helpful. The trailers are older. Our unit was about 5 years old and obviously had recieved a lot of wear and tear as the was new carpet installed. We had issues with the refrigerator, but Jeff fixed it quickly. The unit was not super clean and their was evidence of the past user. Many of the systems in the unit are falling apart. Our window shades fell off. A cabinet that converts to a bed or storage has held in place with screws to prevent it from falling. There was a leak below the sink. The fan in the bathroom had completely broken blades and just spun around but did not move air. As I said, Jeff is a really nice guy. Maybe we just had an unusual experience. I hope so as its really nice to have a place to rent RVs in Santa Rosa. read more

My wife & I were going on a family vacation camping in Yosemite. We are senior citizens and didn't want to "tent" it, so we decided to rent an RV from this place.( It had been recommended by an acquaintance). We dealt with Cindy to select a unit, signed all the forms and paid $921.85 deposit. About a week later, I was notified that my 93 yr old mother had fallen down a flight of stairs, was in ICU and not expected to live. I called Cindy to cancel the rental because we had to go to the midwest and I asked for our deposit back. She had a man call me back who said they would not cancel the contract but would try to re-rent the RV, and if they did the funds would be returned.(My Mother died 3 days later). Yes, there is a statement in the contract that says "no refund if cancelled within 30 days", we did sign it, but this was never fully covered either verbally or in writing. We should have been more cautious. The RV was not re-rented. I expected some understanding & compassion at this tragic time, but none was shown. They not only kept our $750.00 deposit, they kept the $135.00 for mileage we didn't use. They did send $21.85 for "tank"cleaning not needed. We feel this company is uncaring and unethical and we will advise everyone possible to take their business elsewhere. read more

My emailed reservation got ignored and the RV I had tried to confirm over the phone was rented to a new walk in customer. Apparently this business is "really" busy and no time to read emails. Was looking to rent an RV for a surprise time off, I called and spoke with Jeff. He informed me a rental would be available in 2 days but I had to go thru his website and he had nothing on the lot to look at. I downloaded his reservation form, provided credit card info and emailed it to him. NO response. Called twice; no answer, no return call. Finally get a hold of him three hours later.. vacation idea ruined as Jeff says "your RV came in early and I rented it to somebody else...it will be back in five days now." He literally used the language "your" RV in the same breathe as crushing my plans. Get a clue Jeff, return an email, acknowledge a phone conversation. AMAZING!!! Rented a 24 foot motorhome for 3 nights, for a camping trip in bodega bay. We were able to bring our 3 furbabies with us, Jeff walked us through the process of how everything worked in the rv, fully knew all expectations for return, no hidden fees. No t.v. in the motorhome....but we were camping.... who the hell needs a tv when camping? Get outside and enjoy nature, use the motorhome to stay away from mosquitos, and the cold at night. Insurance was needed before renting but super easy to get though the info on their webpage (only $84 for 4 days), and I just brought the paperwork in with me when picking up. Dropping off the rv was easy, entered the gate code parked the rv in the small gravel parking lot, locked the gate back up, and called jeff. With our dogs in the motorhome with us, we brought their blankets to keep hair off the benches, we swept everyday and then use wet papertowels to wipe the floors down, no cleaning fee charged (just keep up with the mess, you didn't get the rv all dirty and covered in dog hair!), got all of security deposit back except for the hours used for the generator ($9). I will definitely be using this company again, all in all cheaper then cruise america, I Love supporting small businesses! read more

My husband rented a trailer for us... Friday through Sunday. We were not informed of a three day minimum purchase... until it was time to pay we had been told $75 a nite. The electric hitch jack was not functioning- luckily we have an adjustable hitch otherwise disconnecting would have been impossible. I cleaned the trailer before returning it and took pictures. Jeff claims there was "piss all over the toilet... fingerprints on the microwave." and is deducting a $50 cleaning fee for this... I will concede to the possibility of finger prints on the microwave (especially because I opened the door to prove it's internal cleanliness.) However "piss all over the toilet" is impossible- I have pictures to prove it and arguing over $50.00 in the end is more expensive than it is worth. He was not present at drop off for a walk through. Needless to say I will not be renting from Jeff again... and when I told him that, he did not mind one bit! GO ELSEWHERE! read more

This was our second time renting here. We thought we would give it a second shot, but it proved to be a bad experience again. Long story short, we rented to go out to Burning Man for 8 days. The first day out our starter on the generator broke. When we looked at it, it appeared old and dirty. We tracked down Jeff who was attending as well. He looked at it and told us there was nothing he could do for us. The next day our refrigerator broke. All of our food went to waste. So no air-conditioning, or refrigeration. The 2 most important things we wanted out there. So we had a glorified U HAUL!! When we returned the "U HAUL" to Jeff, he told us he would give us $100.00 off. He then pointed out some dust in the oven. A few days later, after we were told he would call us, he charged our credit card $1000.00. He did nothing to make things right. He ripped us off. He doesn't keep up on the RV's!!! At the end of the day, he is nothing but a used car salesman. Beware of shotty RV's and lies. I wish we would have read Yelp before we rented. read more

My advice? Do not rent from this company!!!! We were a bit weary to sign the contract because the policies seemed to be 'nickel and diming' the customer. Our hands were a little tied due to family obligations, so we faxed in the agreement on a Friday. I received a phone call to confirm the rental that night. I was a bit surprised that even though the company is not open on Sundays and that our only option was to drop the RV on Sunday, we would still be charged for that night. Again, hands tied. On Saturday, my brother, unfortunately cancelled his wedding ceremony (the reason for the RV). I faxed and emailed my cancellation that Monday. I received a phone call from Jeff stating I would still be charged the $100 fee for canceling more than 30 days from the rental date. It seems rather costly for not renting the RV and for no work on Jeff's end. This company uses very poor business practices. Sleep in a tent rather than rent from A FUN RV RENTALS!!!!! I wish I had read the other reviews prior to booking. Should have gone with my gut!!! read more
