Avoid this company ! They are dishonest! Had to replace a thermostat which they were going to charge 2000.00..we called the manufacturer which stated the thermostat was under Warrenty so Good neighbor backed that charge off. however the service man had never installed this type of new thermostat spent several hours with manufacturer tech support being trained at my expenses which cost me 850.00...it was a mild day when tech finally got the thermostat to work, but I was suspicious that there was not adequate air flow to one zone of the house . I called Bob the next day and told him I be willing to wait to see when weather got colder if the system would keep the house warm. Bob agreed there be no charge if I needed a service call because of this issue. when temperatures dropped to zero the thermostat was set to 71 but would only warm to 68.. So when service man game out to adjust the air flow which did correct the problem they attempted to charge me 260.00 which I refused to pay because of previous promise by Bob which now says he never made. He is an outright liar, this company sells high tech expensive systems they are not qualified to service properly. This new digital thermostat a few weeks later screen locked up and Good neighbor refuse to service it unless I paid the previous bill... I called Greenway Heating and Cooling tel:574-564-5224 spoke with Joel who was able to on the phone tell me how to fix the screen problem ..even though I never been but will now be a customer of Greenway because Joel did not even charge me anything his phone support! Joel told me that's Good Neighbor originally put in a far more expensive thermostat than was needed for my system . read more

I've used A Good Neighbor Heating and Air Conditioning for several years. We've always had good service all the way from the woman answering the phone and making appts to the service technicians and even the owner. The service Techs always call when they are on their way. Once here, they take the time to explain to me what is going on if anything and if service is needed, they recommend it but they don't push it. I don't do well with pushy people. The owner has taken the time to personally answer any questions I may have as well. I've normally dealt with Bryon as the Tech but this time I had Bobby. Both were great and very knowledgeable. I recommend , if you're needing a check up or service to give them a call and talk to them. read more

Had a new furnace installed by A Good Neighbor Heating And Cooling, 2 years ago, we love the guys that did the install they made my wife feel so comfortable and she was home alone with them while I was at work. Now after two years I have noticed a huge decline in my gas bill and electric bill. They also come out twice a year to check and inspect the units Brian is a great guy very polite very curious, once again my wife is very comfortable having these gentlemen come in and out of our home while I'm at work. Very knowledgeable. Our problems with the furnace were diagnosed correctly (have had a lot of others look at it) and they offered the best solution for our issues. The salesman didn't try to upsale. The staff was very kind and courteous. The new furnace was professionally installed and they cleaned up afterward. The techs took the time to explain the new thermostat. I, too, requested for a technician to go out when my tenant called re: furnace issue. The tech who went out told my tenant we needed a new furnace. We decided to get a second option. To find out, this HONEST tech informed us it was an electrical rather than a furnace issue. Thank goodness for honest people. Consider yourself warned! This company is a joke. read more

I bought 2 AC units and 2 furnaces a year ago. One furnace and or AC unit isn't working. The other AC unit makes loud noise all throughout the day and night. I was told that I was buying 2 stage furnace and AC unit only to find out that my AC unit is a 1 stage. I have gotten nothing but poor customer service or really good talk service. I paid them $31K. Don't do business with them. You will be sorry. Bob knows whats going on. I should have known better than to deal with them once he started bad talking other HVAC businesses such as, Home Comfort. His technician, Adam, cannot be trusted and his workmanship is sloppy. He also took my Nest thermostat and replaced it with a Honeywell thermostat. He knew the value of the Nest. When I asked him about it he initially said one of the other guys took it home to install it in his house. When I told him I want it he told me that they threw it away. He or the team that installed my items also made a mess of my insulation, ripping it up and knocking it down. Later, I discovered it and he told me some of it was already that way. Lisa, whoever she is needs to be humbled. But then again she fits the culture of " A good neighbor" because she is also, "a good neighbor". Do you want a neighbor like them? The Lisa person told me to feel free to find someone else to fix my furnace problem if I didn't want to wait until Tuesday, another 4 days, for them to come out. I had already been without air for 3 days. I don't recommend using them. They will treat you the same. read more

Had a poor experience. Minor replacement of a $15 part and they tried to take my wife for as much as $800. Unethical people in my opinion and I will never recommend them to anyone. Do yourself a favor and do a little research before calling these folks. read more
