After reviewing the invoice, I had to seek legal advice and confirmed through an independent witness that the technicians were on site for only a few hours. We ultimately reached a resolution after considerable back-and-forth. I would recommend asking for a written estimate and a clear explanation of hourly billing before authorizing work. Write down everything and do not proceed unless you have a written estimate you agree with.

It's a heavy iron pipe that was put in in 1918, when my house was built, it has a hairline crack in it. It will be costly to get this one replaced with PVC piping. They took the time to discuss it with me, wrote me out an estimate at the time they were here, so I have something to refer to, we're in the ballpark, figures quoted by others and we're also thorough on explaining the costs, and what to expect. Since this is just a preliminary estimate, I am not going to hold them to anything as we all know those change once you get into the big jobs, but I am sure they know what they're doing as I feel comfortable with that. They are licensed, bonded, and insured, which is a highpoint for me. Their reviews are good from past customers. Aarons plumbing representative said showed up today were courteous, on time and respectful of my requests while I was describing the desires of my future project. He was able to take photos and show me exactly where the leak was coming from. After repairing the leak he checked, and double checked, to make sure it was no longer leaking. He did an excellent job. I contacted him, he refused to come back & he told warranty company my drains needed to be hydro jetted as they were "full of grease and debris." I finally hired a handyman who said, when fixing. that the drain was snaked in front of a curved part of pipe, but not after and there was a clog in the pipe after the curve.
