We took our dog in for a nail buff and waited outside for him. When I picked him up and was putting him into the car, I noticed what I thought was a small spot of blood on his paw. It was raining very hard that morning, and I honestly thought maybe he had jerked during the nail buff and the buffer had accidentally caught his paw. By the next day, the area was larger because he had been licking it. I contacted the business and sent them a picture. I was told that they didn't think it could have happened there because the injury was on the top of his paw. My response was simply that I knew the spot was not there when I dropped him off, but it was there when I picked him up. They asked me to keep them posted. Over the next several days, the area continued to get worse. We were considering taking him to the vet, but first tried treating the area at home and putting him in a cone to keep him from licking it. I sent the business another picture showing how much worse it had become. The only response I received was, "I will tell my owner." I have not heard anything else from them. I understand that accidents can happen when working with animals. My biggest disappointment is not necessarily that our dog may have been accidentally injured--it is the lack of concern and follow-up afterward. I would have appreciated someone simply acknowledging what happened, checking on him, or showing some concern for how he was doing. After being a returning customer and having positive experiences in the past, I expected this situation to be handled with much more care and professionalism. Unfortunately, the lack of response after seeing how badly his paw had become has changed how I feel about bringing our dog back.

They picked right up where the emergency vet left off and didn't skip a beat. They did lab work, gave her a thorough once over and assessed her injuries. They addressed all my concerns about my pup not eating, drinking, possible PTSD, etc...Just as importantly, my dog had been through a very traumatic experience and they took that into account every step of the way. As far as the $35 visit- that was a follow up. No office visit has ever been priced so low at this clinic. I certainly understand that emergencies happen at walk in clinics. The 45 min wait was when your staff actually said "oh I'm sorry we kinda forgot about you". I have never once complained. Sad the aggressive stance taken when you are questioned. I'm taking my dog somewhere else about 20 minutes away, where I'm paying half the price. I understand veterinary care isn't cheap, but spending over $2,000 in one month and still not having these issues resolved is unacceptable to me.
