Do not leave your precious fur baby here. Our puppy got injured and didn't get the follow-up care she needed and could have lost her leg due to an infection or even died. When we picked her up, the owner said she didn't think her leg was infected. We immediately took her to the emergency vet and they drained so much fluid from the injury. She lost a huge chunk of skin and tissue and required twice a week visits to the vet to be cared for due to the amount of tissue loss. She had to be put to sleep for every dressing change in the beginning. Needless to say we're up to over $4000 in vet bills and the kennel refuses to pay anything but the owner never even called us to check on her. For boarding this place is great. Our dogs have been here several times in the past and they have always been happy when they come home. When I brought my dog in this time he went in without hesitation and seemed happy to be going. So if he is happy, I am happy. The pictures they post on FB let's me see how they are doing while they are staying there. I recommend this place for boarding. read more

I honestly can't believe that My 4 Dogs has bad reviews! I'm gobsmacked! We have used this place for our dogs for many years and they have always been so patient and kind. Unlike other dog daycare facilities in the area that just throw your dog into the mix... they care deeply about every single dog. They make sure that your dogs temperament is taken into consideration before putting them into group play, to ensure the safety of everyone's pups. They worked so hard with one of my dogs to make sure that he could go to daycare and I will always be grateful. Highly recommend My 4 Dogs! read more

Took our schnauzer in for a complete grooming. They said they would would likely shave the paws because brushing out the fur would leave him tender. Unfortunately they shaved his beard(unevenly) his eye brows ( what groomer shaves a schnauzers beard and eye brows) I don't care what kind of dog you have, do not let them groom your dog!!!!!! read more

This was my first time visiting this groomer as I am new to Murfreesboro. I was disappointed for a couple reasons. Their website states a full groom starts at $60. I was charged $80+ an additional $20 just for my dog being a doodle. I was never made aware of the additional cost based on my dogs breed. I had filled out a form and spoken with them on the phone & they never mentioned this additional cost. This place is over charging for grooming. For having a groomer in an office strip that looks like it hasn't been renovated in a while, they are over charging. I will be making the drive to our old groomer in Brentwood that charges less, has a nicer space, and is more professional. I've had my dog for almost 4 years, and we have never paid this much, and previously we lived in Nashville. I would also like to point out that the front desk ladies were not the friendliest. They seemed like they did not want to be there. I was told on the phone to bring proof of rabies vaccine, and I wasn't asked for it. I had to bring it up to them, and she took the paper without saying anything and said "we'll call when she's ready". No eye contact, no friendly tone, very monotone. Not a good first impression. They also state on their front door that guests and staff must wear a mask, and when I walked in no one else was wearing a mask. Overall the haircut was fine. Not the best, but not the worst. The quality of service needs improvement. Would I recommend? No. If you want the best for your dog, I suggest looking elsewhere. There are plenty of other options around. I was so skeptical and nervous about it because I've heard horror stories of what happened to people's pets at Petsmart or wherever and they allowed me to sit through the entire service and they did such an amazing job with my cat. Poor customer service. Groomers do not listen and do a poor job. Combative staff. Dirty location. I would not leave your pups at this place. We have used Doggies Day out and we're very satisfied. Dogs come back from this with scrapes, cuts, and rashes. read more

So I don't like to give bad reviews often but I felt this needed to be addressed. I've taken my cat to this groomer every 3 months for a good while now. Usually things go well and the groomers do a decent job. The past few visits and this last one in particular was not very good at all. I was charged more than last time and when I asked about it, they claimed it was the same. I went back and looked at my old bank statements and that was not the case. I usually receive the discount associated with making an appointment as soon as one is completed, however, when I asked why I did not receive it this time or last, they claimed it was because I didn't present an appointment card. I was not informed that I had to present that in order to receive the discount and have received it in the past without doing so. I also noticed that the cut was very uneven which seems like it would be hard to do with a simple shave down which is what I get every time. Worse still, they cut his nail too short and I didn't realize till later when I put his nail caps on that it had been left to bleed and I was not informed. They also shaved half his whiskers off on one side of his face. You would think as a groomer that takes cats often, they would know that shaving whiskers is a big no no. If all this wasn't bad enough, my husband was the one dropping him off and they nearly made me cancel my appointment last minute. It wouldn't have been a problem if we lived close by, but they didn't tell him till he walked in after having driven from McMinnville. He had to be at work and nearly had to take the cat with him. He was finally able to leave him but he was still late because he didn't want to leave the cat there if he wasn't going to be groomed. As someone who now works for a grooming facility, all this really makes me think poorly of this place. What really bothers me is that when these things were brought to their attention, nothing was done. read more

I've been taking my dogs here to be groomed for almost two years now and they have always been so good with them. However, this was my first time boarding my dog at My 4 Dogs and I have to say I'm quite disappointed with the experience. My dog (9 years) has epilepsy and has strict medications to help prevent seizures. I explained how the chances of him not being able to get himself out of the seizure increases if he isn't given his medication. I left him thinking he was in good hands as I have been with this company for around two years now. Now I don't know if they gave it to him and he spit it out and they didn't care to try again or if they simply didn't give it, but when I picked him up there was more pills than there should've been. Specifically 5 1/2 days more--he was there for a week. The day before I was supposed to pick him up, I received a call saying how he isn't eating his food. They stated how he's been a good boy and been taking his meds but isn't eating. They tried peanut butter and chicken, which I thank, but now I know the real reason. It wasn't his separation anxiety causing him to not eat, but he was exposed to kennel cough. For people whose jobs revolve around dogs, you think they'd know what kennel cough is, or at least I would think so. So not only was he having withdrawals from his medicine, but he's been suffering from kennel couch for a week without me knowing. Since I wasn't told my dog had kennel cough, he's been exposed to my other dog who now has it. All I'm saying is that it would've been nice to know if y'all thought my dog has kennel cough or if y'all were having trouble giving his medicine to call me and ask for advice. If I were y'all I would wipe down your kennels and anything else because clearly y'all have kennel cough spreading in your facility. Although my boarding experience here wasn't great, I hope other people have better luck. At least their grooming is good. read more

My experience for my 4 dogs was at first wonderful, but sadly turned disappointing. After seeing so many great reviews of this place I thought it would be a wonderful choice for our Mastiff. We did 3 days of doggy day care to make sure he adjusted well to everything- all of those experiences were wonderful- he came home happy and tired from playing. The problem came when we decided to board him for 4 days. I had requested a bath before pick up at 3. When we picked him up around 4 they had given him a bath, but he didn't smell good at all- like wet dog and we mentioned it to them. Sam was dirty again and fur was messy. They just offered to spray him with scented blueberry perfume. My first issue is that if you pay someone to bathe your dog their coat will still retain a products smell even if they play directly after. We bathe our dog and he plays outside with our other dogs and still that night will have the pet shampoo smell. You will be able to smell product on your pet even hours after their bath- we've been to groomers before too and he smells good for at least 2 days. Everyone can tell when a dog gets a proper bath. It's almost as if they just hosed him with water and half way dried him- maybe even just towel dried him. And also, if it is noted that you want your pet bathed before pick up, why put a freshly bathed dog with other dogs? I'm all for my dog playing, but if I request having my dog clean I would expect them to separate them from the rest until I pick them up- you know so I get them how I request so that they are CLEAN. I didn't want him to bring home fleas and wanted him to smell fresh- that's why I wanted him bathed. Also, another problem is as soon as we picked him up he had crust on his face and nose that at the time we assumed might have been the other dogs playing, drooling, or biting on his face. The girl who brought him out had noted to us that our dog hadn't felt good enough to eat especially in the morning. We assume the new environment may have just made him less hungry. That was until we got in the car and within 15 minutes he had a runny nose, a horrible congested cough, and like she had mentioned- little to no appetite. I let them know the next day and the man on the line gave his testimony that Sam had a bath and they just put him back with the others because our pick up time was supposed to be 3-( even if I picked him up at 4- they didn't even separate him from the rest of the dogs after his bath he went straight back!). I was shocked how none of the staff noticed any type of symptoms that were physically manifesting in our car and 15 minutes after leaving their care. I don't believe their claims at all. Like I said within 15 minutes of leaving their facility he had a horrible runny nose (green mucus), eye drainage, and a congested deep cough. Of course we were angry and knew that these extreme symptoms did not just appear. The fact that he had bits of crust on his face when we got him makes me think it had enough time to dry and be wiped off and physical symptoms had presented itself whether they admit it or not. One staff member mentioned how they had to wipe him off a lot because he's slobbery- I believe if they were wiping him they were also wiping off his drainage-which explains the leftover crusts on his face and fur that I believed was another pet playing/biting. I had called about Samson during his boarding and even asked about him and how he was doing and no one had anything to note. I believe that the staff had failed to pay attention to our dog close enough to notice symptoms or some weren't trained to identify the signs of illness. Though there is no guarantee that your pet won't get sick, I do expect to be notified when symptoms appear or anything is off about him. It wasn't hard for us to see or hear that he wasn't well upon picking him up and shortly after leaving. We went to the vet and he has an upper respiratory infection that is contagious and spreads easily to other dogs. I mentioned to the man on the phone that I was disappointed and also that they should notify everyone before I had gotten the vet results that day and make sure the other pet parents knew that their dog was at possible risk. I give 3 stars because I know even if Sam got sick he loved playing and socializing and I believe the young mans name was Robert- but he was amazing/friendly- and I hope that their business will improve with more time. Minus 2 stars for the worst bath anyone could have given my dog and the suspected cover up about my dogs illness. Despite claiming to be able to identify signs of illness/staff being trained to see it on the phone- they failed to notice obvious symptoms/early symptoms of illness in our dog that might have potentially infected other dogs in their care. I'm most likely not going back because of this experience, but I hope the best for this business. read more

Quoted a rate and then charged over $100 more upon pick up. I brought my dogs in for a trial and at that time was given all the information I would need for boarding and a total price of $336. This was a discounted rate because they were going to honor their groupon ad. Upon pick up I was quoted a price of $431.54. I was told they apologize that the price quoted was incorrect. It is completely unprofessional and bad business practice to change a price after the service is provided and a price already agreed upon. They went on to explain that they have had a lot of turnover and I was quoted incorrect. Well- I should have been advised of this error prior to boarding since I know that the initial quoted price was in their system- I watched the initial person put it in! I also had it written on the form they gave me with the information on what I should and should not bring. They also claimed to have had issues with my one dog- my dogs have boarded previously at other places with NO issues at all!! To top it off- one of my dogs caught kennel cough at the facility! Kash & River always have a great time, they are always worn out when we pick them up. As soon as we got home they both passed out which is unusual for them. The staff are always so great and happy to see our pups. The prices are great and reasonable, we always add baths too but it's still cheaper than a lot of other places. Used to go to Pet Smart but I love the personal touch at My 4 Dogs. They remember our dogs and are happy to see them and know their personalities. I love that they post pictures a lot so we can see them having a good time. Even got both of them to sit down for a Christmas picture together!!! Our flight back into town got delayed so we were later getting back but they stayed a little late so that we could pick up the dogs when we got back.
