My clutch went out on the interstate and my usual repair place doesn't handle transmission - these guys were not just the closest location I could find, but my car was completely tended to! Had our 2002 Ford Sport Trac's transmission finally go out after 260,000 miles. Yup, hard to believe it lasted that long. I bought the vehicle new back in 2002 and after the warranty went up. Whatever you do, avoid this place at ALL costs. If I could rate this a 0 star I would. My son (17 at the time) dropped off his 2010 Mercedes on November 6, 2023 for transmission work. He advised as well as I advised that he only had $2500 to spend. My son and I called over 33 times from November 6 until the middle of December trying to find the estimate for repair. We were told over and over "we do not have an estimate yet as we are trying to find parts." Despite our numerous calls (we have the call logs as well) we were never given an estimate. It was not until my son received a call at school in December to advise him that "he owed" $7,200 and "the car still needed to be programmed by Mercedes at $500 to $1000 per hour." As anyone would, we lost our minds. When you tell a shop not to go over $2500 and they call saying you owe $7200 it is rather mind blowing. Needless to say we refused to pay this. We moved forward with a small claims lawsuit (feel free to look it up) in January of 2024. The shop failed to show up to the small claim court two times (despite me emailing them and sending certified mail). It was until we had them served by the Sheriff that they finally showed for the third hearing on 6/27/2024. We were sent over to mediation where it was agreed we receive the car back in the condition we were told (completed just needed programming) in exchange for the $2500 we always agreed to. We paid the money on 6/28/2024 and called AAA to two the vehicle. AAA showed up around 1:30pm on 6/28 to tow the car, the tow driver was going to jump the battery in order to move the car to a more convenient spot. The owner BRIAN came out telling him not to jump the car or he will fry the "TCM." A TCM is located INSIDE the transmission. The two truck driver was scared then, and called another tow truck driver to come (a standard repo type of tow truck). This driver arrived around 2:38pm the same day. We had the car immediately towed from the shop, directly to Mercedes for programming. When I arrived over at Mercedes, Charlie tells me that the shop called him and said "that car doesn't have a transmission." I thought Mercedes was pulling my leg until they went outside and lifted the car to show me the car was missing the transmission and ALL the wiring. THE SHOP had RIPPED OUT THE Transmission (more than likely when we won the court case). My husband immediately went to the police station and took the police with him to the shop. A police report has been filed for theft, we are now moving forward with a larger lawsuit as this has been obvious theft when they told the tow truck driver he would fry the TCM, KNOWING good and well when the two truck driver jumped the car he would notice it didn't have a transmission. There is no reason to tell the tow truck driver that the TCM will get fried if there is no transmission. We now have evidence from the tow truck company (witness testimony), Mercedes, as well as video evidence from neighboring businesses. We also spoke to neighboring business and are told the police are always at this location for customer complaints and the owner is an as*hole to everyone. We personally have two police reports against this place. I am posting this to warn everyone, our situation is sad because my son has saved for this car since he started making money and bought it from an insurance auction and fixed the car all up for over a year with his own money. These people are taking advantage of others, and now along with many others that have bad experiences will have to take accountability. read more

PLEASE BEWRAE Came back from a trip to Boston and a soon as i hit the illinois line i had trans problems. My mechanic sent my truck to this alleged trans specialist. I got a new clutch put in. NEVER had a problem in the 5 years i had the jeep, since they touched it nothing but issues for the past 3 years. this shop has replace the trans, master and slave cylendars and they can never get things fixed. BEWARE - My vehicle was dropped off for a valve body adjustment. Mechanic also made adjustments to the kick-down cable that I did not authorize and then decided to take my car for a test drive to test the passing gear on a 25 mph speed limit side street. Driver exhibited gross negligence (speeding on a cold wet road on summer performance tires) and within 3/10ths of a mile lost control and crashed into a light pole. Driver claimed a mechanical issue with the car so their insurance denied the claim leaving me with a totaled vehicle and a bill for $10K for the property damage this mechanic caused. Cost me an addition $200 to have it towed back to my home. Owner will not return my call. read more

They are 1/2 the price & do an excellent job. only reason I did not give them 5 stars - my starter went out while they had the car - automatically replaced it without calling me. Told me when they called to tell me my car was ready. But even with that added on - A-J & H was still over $400 cheaper. Did I mention the starter does have a lifetime warranty & I was not charged for the transmission or starter diagnostics., They did not charge for starter installation either.
