Five weeks ago, I brought my 2006 Dodge Durengo in for a wheel alignment. I was using a coupon from GROUPON. When the car was put on the lift, they said I needed suspension replaced and rear shocks replaced. I had them replace the shocks for $200. I had another garage replace the suspension. The garage also told me that the "new" shocks were leaking oil. I went back to E & M to complain. They said the shocks were not leaking and were "fine." I brought the car to another 2 garages and both said the shocks were indeed leaking. I had the garage replace them. I went back today for a refund of my $200 but was told I would have to wait for the "manager" because he had the key to the cash register. A "mechanic" told me to wait or return. I told him I live 45 minutes away and wouldn't wait for the manager to mosey over. Hard to believe that no one else had access to the register. All I can say is that E & M Doctors should be charged with malpractice. read more

We met Eddie back when he was the best service manager at another service place. He's still the best most and most honest car guy out there. He'll even tell you if something isn't his specialty and direct you to the next best person. I've had the best deals on brakes, tires, oil changes, alignment, batteries etc. and never been disappointed. Unfortunately we've moved down south and there's no such thing as E&M Auto Doctors here! Edmund saved my life...literally. We came in for an oil change and he noticed my brakes were worse than bad. Someone had put in the wrong part totally and could have cause my brakes to fail completely. He told me to go back to Midas and have them fix. We did and Midas was floored. They had to admit to the wrong part being installed. They put on new ones but if. It weren't for Edmund who knows what would have happened? Besides that he knows cars and won't tell you to do anything that you don't need. He's the real deal! read more

I'm a big fan of family owned and operated businesses like this one. I believe all the employees that I encountered there were family members. They worked very well and very quickly to take care of my car's oil change. They even notified me that my car (Acura MDX) has a warning that goes off when I'm due for an oil change - and they told me that warning light goes off past the 3 month/3k miles mark that most others told me. They told me its up to me whether I come in when the light goes off or when the sticker says I should - but the fact that they were that honest with me is a huge plus. If you live nearby, you definitely should give them a try. Let me start by saying that I don't trust mechanics... However, after taking my car to see Eddie, my trust has been restored. I was referred to the shop by my girlfriend, who took her Mercedes here for servicing, and I couldn't be more satisfied with the results.. I won't get into specifics, but I had concerns with some things going on with my car.. I was told if I ever had car trouble to come here by a family friend. They said they were quoted a huge price somewhere else and this shop told them they didn't really need all the repairs the other place did. I had a problem with my windshield wiper about 6 months ago so I brought it in. They gave me 3 options; 1) By an entire new windshield wiper transmission for several hundred dollars, which is what another place told me I had to do, 2) they could get me a windshield wiper transmission from a salvage yard for 1/3 of the price, 3) they could try grind down the broken part and try to rig it up with things they had on hand for almost nothing. They were confident the 3rd option would work so I said why not give it a try. It's been a while now and everything has held up in the rain and snow. I had a problem with my rear defroster so I brought it back to them this weekend since they were so helpful the last time. They ordered a part, had it delivered, replaced it, and had me out of there in 2 hours. Even though I live in the city I'll always make the trip for this place to fix my cars. read more

Nothing but good things here. Definitely give these guys a shot. I had only interacted with Danny. He's an all around straight up guy that was very knowledgeable and professional. The thing that most impressed me though was how he did not nickel and dime me for some smaller repairs that he had done on my car. I only paid about $24 to get an oil change. Then he told me they top off all of the fluids and rotate the tires with that service. He also welded a piece on the car that was making a rattling noise and zip tied a piece of plastic that was hanging loose and didn't charge me extra for any of that work. I have an issue with my rear brakes he pointed out and informed me that whoever did them previously messed them up, so I'll be taking that back to get that corrected. He kept me informed of the status of my car the whole time. If you are anywhere in the area and you don't check these guys out, you are missing out big time. read more

I can not say enough good about the service here at E & M Auto Doctors. I checked them out for a routine oil change and the service and price cannot be better! I told the owner Ed that we were going to be traveling in a few weeks and after a good look over my car we decided to return to have brake pads changed and one more look for safety. The day we were leaving for our 10 day trip we were hearing a funny sound in our front end. I called the owner Ed and he told us to stop in on our way out of town. Ends up it was just that we were towing a heavier load than normal but he and another service guy there took one more look and assured us that all was well with the Tahoe. We left on our trip feeling confident. Ed also explained that we had roadside assistance with NAPA and to call along the way if we encountered any problems.
